What's your perfect 'nude' lipstick?

I'm on the hunt for my perfect nude lipstick and haven't found it yet! I like lighter ones as darker browny shade lipsticks make me look a bit harsh and washed out.
If it helps, and you're familiar with foundation skin tones, I'm around an NC25/30 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid and am brunette. Thanks!

I used to love Mac Myth.
Mac is definitely hard to beat. It may be a case of having to order one online as I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant and didn't really want to take a trip into the city centre to Debenhams, as I just have a Boots nearby.

I like Mac Myth and Creme de Nude but my new favourite is Chanel Boy. It's a pinky nude but utterly delicious.

it definitely doesn't last as long as Mac though. Another one I've just purchased is Illamasqua in Rosepout. It has real staying power but you can end up with the nude ring of death after a while.

I really struggle with nude lipsticks. I'm very pale and all the MAC lipsticks mentioned above make me look like death. Most nudes are too peach, too beige, too baby pink or too brown.

I suit mauves more than nudes. Favourites are

Nars Audacious in Anita

MAC Brave

NYX Whipped Caviar

Rimmel Kate Moss in 104

Maybelline Touch of Spice (which is more brown than I can usually wear but looks great).

I also really like the Mac shade Brave too. I didn't think I would like it but I do use it a lot. It's a good everyday. I'm so glad the make up artist made me buy it. Kate moss 104 is also good although a tad browner.

I find a sheer red much easier to wear and more flattering than a nude.

Thanks for the suggestions of Chanel. There is a Chanel counter at my local boots that I could look at to save me a trip into town.

Awholelottanosey - is there any other decent ones by No7?

ElizabethHoover - unfortunately I have to agree with the other poster that my teeth aren't exactly sparkling white so I don't get away with bright lipsticks. Plus I want a nude for every day, I'm not comfortable with bright lipstick. Nudes are far more flattering on me!

L'Oreal JLo nude? (Cringe!) there are other celebrity shades too.
It looks like my lip color not "blot out your lips" 1960s style nude.

I wear Nars Walkyrie, which is darker than my lips, but not bright, iyswim.

Ottlia i get SO many comps about the Bobbi brown art pen in raspberry. Even on the counter people were asking the other ' consultants' what it was my woman had put on me. and it lasts

Not like morguey type nudes, and less need to do eyes

I like Revlon Romantic and Clinique Chubby Stick in Strawberry, it was a freebie with a magazine.

It's all in the colouring I suppose,

A bright lipstick will make your teeth look whiter though. I love the idea of nude lipsticks but I just look washed out with them. Am pale though so that might have something to do with it.

I'm NC30 and have quite a few nude lipsticks from mac that work really well especially when paired with a good liner.

Shy Girl - peachy nude
Freckletone - beige nude
Hug Me - brown/pink nude
Modesty - pinky nude
Velvet Teddy - pink/brown nude

I was watching This Morning (Wednesdays episode) & they did a beauty section on lips. Apparently there's a gadget like the no7 foundation match, which can match your lips to the perfect lippy shades. Think it was Chanel so you'd have to go to a Chanel counter (the video is on the This Morning page to double check) & they check your lips & give suggestions according to the shade you're after (eg nudes, reds etc)

Apparently, they checked the same model several times & the sane suggestions were given each time.
