I imagine she's had every damn thing possible done, but she's done it with grace and style and she understands that less is more, clearly. he's managed to avoid that awful, generic 'melted wax candle in a wind tunnel' look that so many older American women end up with. She looks fabulous and whatever she's done to achieve it I say good luck to her. She will probably also have practised abstinence in all the things that are fun, but well known to be bad for your skin; sun, smoking, booze, junk food etc. and she's probably kept up a pretty punishing exercise regime. Anyone dedicated enough to stick to that for years on end deserves to reap the rewards.

And i'm impressed with those heels - I can barely stand up in high heels any more and I'm not even 50 yet. I bet she had her slippers in her handbag

yy Squoosh, i think the puffed up lip thing and disappearance of the philtrum is the biggest give away to bad 'work'.

I was watching Lulu on the 7 o'clock show last night and i thought her work looked really bad. the cheek bones especially. Then Dad said 'god she looks fantastic and what's great is she's had no work done at all' i was at him

And I must say that Tara looks fab as well. Love love love her quirky outfit. It can't be easy having to stand next to your mother in a photo when she's someone like Joan Collins so it's great that she has such a sense of style herself. They all look so happy and proud.

i think the key to 'work' is have it done early and gradually before you really need it (not that anyone needs it obviously). Then it doesn't seem so drastic and acts as prevention rather than cure.

That's what i'm aiming for anyway!

Me too MrsK I'm already thinking a facelift might make an excellent 50th birthday present along with a gastric band, a tummy tuck, some liposuction and an Invisalign brace so DH had better start saving now.

I'm gutted that your nose keeps growing as you age. My ears are lovely so I'm not bothered about them but I hate my nose .
