It's for dinner and drinks, thinking of nude shoes, it's to highlight some weight loss size 18- to size 14!
Smile I'm also 5ft 7 and I'm a pear with excellent boobs!

dress

I don't like it. Looks a bit try hard.

MikeTheShite · 18/03/2015 11:22

Oh no Confused

I think your wonderful weight loss would be completely over shadowed by the cleavage

AuntieMaggie · 18/03/2015 11:33

I like it but it needs to be pulled up a bit iyswim?

MikeTheShite · 18/03/2015 11:35

Oh I wouldn't have that much cleavage on show, and I'm thinking statement short necklace?

OP posts:
burnishedsilver · 18/03/2015 11:35

All the models on that website are orange!

QueenBean · 18/03/2015 11:36

Sorry, I think it's a nice dress but size 14 is still quite big to wear it. Unless you have incredible control pants and have lost weight around your upper arms / back you'll still look quite untoned in this

It's an amazing weight loss achievement and you should be really proud and want to show off but this dress is too cheap / material too flimsy to do you justice

MikeTheShite · 18/03/2015 11:41

I guess I won't order it now, as I feel huge again.
I'll dig something out I have,
Thank you for the comments though Smile

OP posts:
Ihatemytoes · 18/03/2015 11:44

Size 14 is not huge!

MikeTheShite · 18/03/2015 11:45

I think I'll just find something else.

I think the issue is there's a guy there I really do like! Id like to impress and I guess I'm not going to in this

OP posts:
tabulahrasa · 18/03/2015 11:49

It's not that a 14 is huge...it's that dress.

I'm sure you'd look great in a better dress.

QueenBean · 18/03/2015 11:49

Size 14 is not huge! But a skintight single layer cheap dress won't flatter you!

bialystockandbloom · 18/03/2015 11:49

Despite the dreadful make-up and styling of the model (yikes!) I quite like the dress, but more for holidays. Agree the cleavage would need to be toned down, and not sure about the thin straps but love the shape and length. Maybe look for something less tight/strappy/lowcut in similar shape? Well done on your weight loss Smile

Cariad007 · 18/03/2015 11:51

Is that site for real?? The tans!!

Well done on your fab weight loss! That dress to me says summer holiday cocktails at a beachside bar with sandals and a tan, not drinks in mid-March (unless you live somewhere super hot?), whether you're a size six or 16. What other sorts of things do you like to wear miketheshite? The dress is quite strappy so if you feel like your arms/shoulders are something you want to highlight could you wear a pretty camisole type top with skinny jeans/trousers and nice boots or heels?

Thisishowyoudisappear · 18/03/2015 11:57

Congratulations on your weight loss. IMO it's a nice dress (obviously will be much nicer with nice shoes and less cleavage and orangeness) but as pp said, it could be unforgiving to your arms, which would be a shame as could distract from your magnificent rack! Spaghetti straps can be unflattering. Also you'd probably need a decent Spanx or similar slip to get a nice smooth silhouette.

hellsbellsmelons · 18/03/2015 11:57

Sorry agree with the other.
It's a bit cheap looking.
How old are you.
Could you go for a big more sophistication?
Unless of course you are 17-25 then go for it.
This shows off curves and cleavage without being too try hard?
could be flattering
this is nice as well but not available in 14 - could get away with a 12 maybe??

hellsbellsmelons · 18/03/2015 11:58

BIT more!!! DOH!

FlabbyMummy · 18/03/2015 12:02

there is a of neck/shoulders/arms on display with that dress, not ideal for a dinner?

What about this? Jersey fabric is nice, the cross over front will compliment your boobies and a slight tuck at waist will be nice?

I am a boy shape, broad, small boodbs and no waist so I am envious of your figure! well done on the weight loss.

FruitOwl · 18/03/2015 12:11

Ooh hells those are both rather lovely. Much nicer than the original choice, sorry OP. Congratulations on your weight loss, I'm sure you look fab!

MikeTheShite · 18/03/2015 12:11

Thank you, I agree they are all orange and awful. I just struggled to find something I liked.

I'm 25, so would like something quite fashionable and sexy if I'm honest as I was feeling quite good at the moment

OP posts:
Bellerina2 · 18/03/2015 12:12

Sorry OP, but I think all the dresses on that site look v cheap and tacky and reek of desperation. Although that could just be the hideous styling and orange tan on the models!

That blue Asos dress hellsbells linked to is nice, might get it myself!

lynniep · 18/03/2015 12:14

Unfortunately the model detracts from what I think could be quite a pretty dress, and I can't really see beyond it.
Are you after a pencil style in general
