I find a nice scarf works wonders, Barbarella. Grin

I try not think too much about my neck.

motherinferior · 03/04/2015 10:20

I try distracting with cleavage Grin. Hello!

I have had lots of sleep. It's great.

Barbarella · 03/04/2015 10:42

Agh, I keep typing posts and they keep failing to post. Thanks for the welcome.

Barbarella · 03/04/2015 10:43

I suppose at least I seem to only have one chin. Small mercies and all that.

bigTillyMint · 03/04/2015 10:50

Hi Barbarella! I haven't even thought about whether I should disguise my neck - I just wear scarves to keep warm!

Feeling crappy, but have done a bit of painting in DS's room. May try to get DH or DS to do a bit later... DD has gone off to school to "revise" I am Shock for the students, but especially the teachers - it's a BH!

herbaceous · 03/04/2015 10:53

I have one-and-a-half chins, unless I suck it in, in which case I get wrinkly wattle. I find an elasticated balaclava very helpful, or a jaunty bonnet held on with a chinstrap.

OP posts:
Barbarella · 03/04/2015 10:54

Lol at bonnet - I'd look like one of the spinsters in a Jane Austen novel

QueenQueenie · 03/04/2015 11:17

Barbarella, You came! Do hang around a bit, we're all very friendly and all Crepey. My own neck is very wrinkly - since I lost quite a lot of weight in the last couple of years it went from smooth but double chinned to wrinkly and single chinned - swings and roundabouts innit. I have many scarves but also a rather uncaring attitude...

lalsy · 03/04/2015 11:18

Hey Barbarella, welcome.

Herbs Grin at elasticated balaclavas - we are S and B after all. And no, hadn't been drinking, just working my way through a long and dull to do list of tiny bits of work related admin.

beachyhead · 03/04/2015 11:33

Oh, the sun's going down, as is the vodka and Sprite! Not a conscious choice of drink, but what happens when you try to buy mixers to suit the family.
We are all red and glowing, which is the classic 'English person in the sun for the first day' look!
It's very manicured here, but not too formal. I'm on my second book already - Wolf of Wall Street went down easily and now on H is for Hawk.

Off for more noodles and satay...I could drape them over my neck to hide it, but I think that may attract more attention to my Crepey bits... Smile

beachyhead · 03/04/2015 11:35

And welcome to Barberella. I'm in Borneo at the moment, just in case you thought I had vodka for elevenses!

bigTillyMint · 03/04/2015 11:37

Beachy Envy
This s the first Easter in years that we have not gone away and we are all missing it.

QueenQueenie · 03/04/2015 11:38

Sounds fab Beachy. Vodka and noodles, what's not to like Envy

Rosebag · 03/04/2015 12:07

Grin herbs
Envy Beachy
Thanks Brew Tilly
Smile and hello Barberella I am a bit lucky with the neck for my advancing years but have a bit of looseness going on under the chin and significantly less well defined jaw that of yesteryear. I am a bit like QQ…don't care much… I like Nivea (blue pot) for the wobbly bit…at least it's a moisturised wobbly bit iyswim. The DC like it…they say it's soft..(weird lot we are….)

It is unnaturally calm at Rosebag Towers today. We are soon to embark on the ceremonial burning of the bread and thereafter shun it for eight (8, viii) days. Told you we were weird…Confused Big service and feast at DSis and DBIL's tonight with Skype link to DSis in the US.

Barbarella · 03/04/2015 12:30

Envy at Borneo and vodka and satay

motherinferior · 03/04/2015 12:40

Borneo, vodka, satay - what's not to like?

I am failing to put words on the page.

bigTillyMint · 03/04/2015 12:41

Rose, DS has always called mine my "froggy"

MollyAir · 03/04/2015 12:59

Welcome, Barbarella. Feel free to borrow any one of my many chins any time you want.

I do buy a lot of very highly colouured necklaces, which I love. Finding one in a charity shop is a particular delight. Beachy, Borneo sounds perfect. There's an MN webchat with Helen Macdonald about H is for Hawk at the end of this month.

Stropperella · 03/04/2015 14:09

I have been very near to where Beachy is staying, but I was in a cockroach- and rat-infested shack down the road. Grin
Welcome Barbarella! My neck looks like a stick of celery that has been in the salad drawer for far too long. I am sometimes philosophical and sometimes gloomy about this.

motherinferior · 03/04/2015 14:26

I have slung a thousand (1,000, M) words at page but am not sure if any of them are any good. Am now going to pay attention to my darling offspring, by making them walk to Sainsbury's with me to buy presents for a friend's baby twins. We may find ourselves tripping over some more chocolate too. 'Tis the season.

lalsy · 03/04/2015 15:01

Well, ds is back from his trip and asleep. Apparently he is good at leading from the front, less good at bringing up the rear Grin. I am now plodding through dull list of non-work jobs, trying not to snarl at dd and dh who wander across my path while discussing their immense fatigue and minor ailments. Harrumph. Who invented Easter and why is it so cold?

Rosebag · 03/04/2015 15:18

Grin at froggy tilly

lalsy I am intermittently snarling at my lot too! as they bury themselves busily doing bugger all! whilst I plod through the ironing to take back to Sussex.

monty where in Sussex will you be?

Blackduck · 03/04/2015 17:02

Hi Barbrella, I think my nose takes the attention off my chin so I don't worry about it :)

Did Greenwich today - now slumped at home ready for dinner out tonight - be glad to be home in my own bed tomorrow...

addle · 03/04/2015 18:33

Hello Barbarella, my tip is not to look in mirrors or at least not without bracing yourself first - never in passing

we're off for a big family celebration - with my bro and family and dd's bf (!) so am hoping will be memorable for all the right reasons ...

am wearing heels and feeling nervous. restaurant is towards your neck of the woods MI/BTM; none of us have been except ds who went with his gf's family. extra nervous.

Borneo sounds fabulous Beachy
