Well someone had to do it as my last post was number 999...

Yes! Me too. I find they unravel at the neck but I really like the shape and the way you can layer up underneath.

Rosebag · 18/02/2015 11:42

Ooh just had a look at the woolovers sweater...I like. Is it ok on bigger boobs? Smile

motherinferior · 18/02/2015 11:55

I did ask if anyone wanted to go in on a cheap deal but nobody picked it up so I went for it on my own Grin. Though yes to the unravelling - I must pick up MORE darning wool when next in Norwich (where you can still buy the stuff).

Rose, you've met both Lalsy and me. I think you can draw your conclusions about boob-accommodation Wink. The moss stitch makes it v drapey.

CointreauVersial · 18/02/2015 13:25

I am also wearing a new black Woolovers jumper today. Mine's a Slinky Poloneck, which is perfect and snug for work, and replaces the faded, scabby Dunnes Stores effort I've been trotting out for the last five years or so.

I also have one of the Moss Stitch jumpers, in the grey. Mine hasn't unravelled, though.

We should get sponsorship!

lalsy · 18/02/2015 13:29

And also, Rose, on the boobage front (as it were), it just dangles off them, which I like. And I like the way the back is longer.

Rosebag · 18/02/2015 14:44

Well I might just have to order some one to check bosom suitability. Love the colours.

cremo lovely about your DDad. At least you have a diagnosis and you know what you're dealing with, as regards your own health. Both are treatable aren't they, and you are anything but lazy!

CV glad birthday meal went well and gifts abounded. I don't think "fat as a pig" is an accurate description! and 48 feels spring chicken-like from where I'm standing!

BD you need that short day. Get well... Flowers Brew

tilly sounds a sensible move. Glad it's working out to be a lovely trip.

We are chilling out after the heinous but necessary homework session this morning, but happily followed by a real "blowing the cobwebs away" hike along the beach and light lunch in the village. Poor Dd has another UTI..been brewing since the virus she was off school with last week. The good news is the lovely village doctors here are so amenable to helping up us as temporary patients and within half an hour of a phone call we had the prescription. Why can't it be like that in a the Smoke?

Plans for early supper in fave fish restaurant..I have checked the menu and will order a chargrilled salmon steak and rice instead of my usual cod in matzo meal and creamy mash. Let see if I can hold back the tears of Envy
Then we are going to see ' In To The Woods'

In other news we have had a family conference and have settled on Nice and it's environs for our summer hols this year..hooray!

bigTillyMint · 18/02/2015 17:28

Rose, it sounds like you're having a lovely time.

I am sporting a pale pink wool overs PNJ this evening, to go with my slightly rosy glow - it has been clear bus skies and sunny here every day! Off for a meal with our friends at out fave restaurant - might even treat myself to a desert as we did over 21000 steps todayWink

motherinferior · 18/02/2015 17:32

I have had a productive and friendly meeting with CDiff. It won't last, of course, but was nice while it did.

Blackduck · 18/02/2015 17:35

I am home. I have hoovered and washed. I about to walk the hound, pay my bar tab (don't ask) and then crash in bed with my iPad.....

beachyhead · 18/02/2015 17:59

Made it to Falmouth...lots of students walking around with portfolios looking nervous.... Having a beer overlooking the harbour. Lovely Smile

QueenQueenie · 18/02/2015 19:22

Does she like it Beachy? Sounds loverly. Good luck to Ms Beachy for tomorrow!

Polo Neck Jumper, QQ....Smile

bigTillyMint · 18/02/2015 21:31

Rudy 's right! And yes, everyone needs a few PNJs!

Fingers crossed for young Beachy though my local is definitely the place to goWink

Just been for a lovely meal - I had the broche which was a hunk of beef on a mini spit for me to cook as I ateSmile
And I failed to follow your example Rose and had a massive ice cream sundae for afters! It did have raspberries on itSmile

motherinferior · 18/02/2015 21:49

I fear those of us with huge shoulders and massive knockers do not need a PNJ. I look like a particularly pugilistic docker in one.

QueenQueenie · 18/02/2015 21:58

Ta for the decodong - now I know what it is I don't want one... I look like a tortoise in one

Ooh, I like Falmouth, Beachy. Be sure to have a nose round the Aladdin's Cave that is Trago Mills.

Well done deciding on your summer holiday, Rose. We've had a couple of family conferences and have decided absolutely nothing. So have planned absolutely nothing (apart from five days in Norfolk, which does not quite suffice as a main holiday).

Anyway, in S&B news, I treated myself to a pair of knee-high boots in the sales. I know, I know, it's nearly Spring, but I've been dithering about them for ages. Hopefully they will come back out of the closet next winter. I bought these (although strangely they have now gone up in price by twenty quid). The colour is gorgeous; I'm well chuffed!

Blackduck · 19/02/2015 07:01

Oh la la CV very 'principal boy'!

Summer hol - hopefully Vietnam if we can get our act together.....

MontserratCaballe · 19/02/2015 08:20

I love those boots, CV.

Holidays - I'd like to go to Cornwall again, but the places are sooooooo expensive. The place next to the one we had last year is now £2500 for a week! Oh dearie dear. Better start saving and stop shopping.

MI - I had a Woolovers moment yesterday and bought a couple of moss stitch jumpers. I hope that they will suit me.

I too cannot sport a polo neck, because it makes me look as if my knockers start under my chin.

MrsSchadenfreude · 19/02/2015 08:32

We had six days in Norfolk as our main holiday last year... Hmm Perhaps the extra day made all the difference and tipped it over from "not quite sufficing"?

beachyhead · 19/02/2015 10:04

Russian military aircraft seen just off Cornwall. They're coming for me!

Dropped her off looking very glam in white DM's and a fake fur coat... Think they'll remember her anyway....

wordassociationfootball · 19/02/2015 11:01

Love those boots CV. Glad you had a lovely birthday evening. Happy belated one from another 48 year old Aqueeryarse Flowers Wine

Crem hope you feel altogether better very soon.

Off to catch up on Wolf Hall thread (I am going to miss it so much) via a glance at Woolovers. Am on complete buying clampdown until further notice as have zero (0, nil, OMFG) commissions at the mo.

Good luck Beachy's DD. Outfit sounds brilliant.

Rose, your grub restraint is impressive, but not rubbing off on me yet, so kindly keep on keeping on and I'll join you at some point Smile.

I think the thing about Ladyjogging is that it vaguely solidifies the winter lard that would otherwise be more liquid, ie: I don't feel like I should weigh quite as much as I do because I don't look or feel as winter lardy as I have done in less LJ'ing times, which is sort of confusing and leads back to the biscuit tin rather than to any kind of Measures.

Rosebag · 19/02/2015 11:35

tilly waf the reason I seem to be able to eschew desserts at the moment is because I'm probably eating waaaaay too much main course.. Grin I think this is going to be my problem as the diet progresses. Eating too much of what I am allowed. Can one really lose weight without being hungry? I doubt it!

CV gorgeous boots. I've never had the above the knee variety
looks resignedly at plain but gloriously comfortable Gabor riding boots

Holiday wise...in all frankness, if it were left to me I'd spend the month of August here in Sussex. My needs are simple and I don't travel anything like as well as I used to, as I have often said lately. The DC however and DH although he probably wouldn't admit to it, have grander plans. On a post Canada high, everyone was talking about going back and doing a train trek through Quebec this year, but the cost will be prohibitive. I do feel under a bit of pressure to see that DS2 spends time speaking French since that's going to be his major at Uni. He won't go and stay on a random exchange and has already done one with the school to Strasbourg ( spoke loads of French...really good for that but he hated the family, with good reason as it turns out...they were nutters ).

So we are at the research stage for Nice...I have to have a nice room
suite and a pool. I foresee arguments....

I am hanging back in the caff after brunch but have to go back to the flat to supervise homework for a bit. We are off to Chichester for supper and the theatre tonight. Happy Thursday, all ( it IS Thursday now isn't it Grin. )
