Well someone had to do it as my last post was number 999...

Beachy WFH - and I am crossing fingers for DDog...... Tell Dylan the Crepeys need his regular misdemeanours to keep us smiling.

Stropperella · 22/02/2015 20:41

All fingers and toes crossed here for poor Dylan. And yes, WFH, Beachy.

herbaceous · 22/02/2015 20:48

Paws crossed for Dylan. His exploits do cheer a crepey.

MrsSchadenfreude · 22/02/2015 21:10

Paw Dylan. Hope he is soon up and woofing again.

Crepeys, can we do a Saturday instead of a Friday, so that Rose can come???

I am making bread, the kitchen is a tip, and both DDs have gone back to school leaving rooms that look like the wrath of God, with huge piles of laundry.

Work tomorrow morning has no appeal for me.

bigTillyMint · 22/02/2015 21:14

Sat 28th April is fine by me. How is it for others? And Rose, could you make that date - would be great to have you there.

Fingers crossed for Dylan.

cremolafoam · 22/02/2015 21:19

I'm having the Sunday night blues too. I have no desire At All to get up for work tomorrow.
Can we have a mass Crepey bunk off?

Grin
QueenQueenie · 22/02/2015 22:03

Yes to Saturday 28th! Shall we revert to our old haunt of WK or maybe a Sofra?
NU, could we tempt you down from the frozen Norf?
Hatty, could we tempt you to cross the Channel?

Emily, a belated welcome!

Much sympathy re Dylan Beachy, hope you have better news tomorrow about him.

Poor you Stropps, that sounds painful and grim.

Agree, yah boo sucks to it being Monday tomorrow....

I can do any dates so far mentioned. Smile

Beachy our dog has eaten worrying stuff, suffered and been fine. I hope Dylan is having a nice night being nursed, and will be running around again very soon.

CointreauVersial · 22/02/2015 22:31

Saturday 25th OK for me too.

EA - big thumbs up for your way of eating. I lost well over a stone low carbing a few years back, but I'm less strict nowadays. I find it easy to stick to during the week, but at the weekend I slip into bad habits. If I didn't have the DCs and their carby foodstuffs around it would be sooo much easier.

Herbs - nuts aren't too bad. Almonds have lots of protein.

MontserratCaballe · 23/02/2015 06:57

How is Dylan today, Beachy?

25th should be ok for me Smile

Luckily I have woken up today with neck glands the size of tomatoes, so I feel fully justified to WFH Smile

No news yet of the beast....

Saturday 25th is great for me. Better for out of towners probably as well....

motherinferior · 23/02/2015 08:12

Today I am mostly feeling guilty. And stressed-out and exhausted. Didn't schedule Ladyjog as I thought it would be raining. Turns out not to be raining. Have set idiotic deadline for a client. Supposed to be going to a screening of a film later which would be v exciting normally but just adds extra pressure. ARGH.

Beachy, take heart from DSis' dog, which as you will recall has consumed both heavy-duty happy pills AND a pack of Calpol Fastmelts and has suffered no ill-effects bar bizarre phobia of the black square tiles in the kitchen.

motherinferior · 23/02/2015 08:18

OTOH I have put CREPEYS in my diary for 25 April. And the notes on the page are starting to cohere.

lalsy · 23/02/2015 08:20

Beachy, hurrah for swollen glands!

I am not sure about 25 April yet - couple of things to be sorted. And I'd love to come to BP next Sunday but will have to see how the weekend goes (ds has a silly one, and dd is coming home, yippee).

Crem, I am sorry you are still in pain and Stropps that you are experiencing it too.

MI, chin up, the situation with your parents could have been designed to induce guilt whatever you do or don't do.

Blackduck · 23/02/2015 08:24

I think the outcome of too much lemon drizzle was witnessed in the kitchen today - luckily I had liberally spread newspaper but it was still carnage....

I WILL steam clean the floor today. Otherwise it laundry and tidying - back to work tomorrow.

NUFC69 · 23/02/2015 08:46

Oh dear, BD, that sounds unpleasant.

QQ, I will be in Majorca on the 25th so can't make it, I am afraid. I could perhaps do a Saturday lunchtime later on.

Rose, thanks. If you can PM me the name of your agent that might be useful, though DH, after throwing a paddy yesterday when he said as I obviously wasn't interested in Canada we weren't going, seems to be looking again. (There was me leaving him to it as I thought he enjoyed the planning).

I lost stones on the India Knight no carb diet but can't keep it up long term. I still do a shepherd's pie recipe from the book which has cauliflower mash on top.

Off to the clinic for a weigh in later: after being good for three weeks last week (with 2 birthdays) was a bit of a disaster.

Rosebag · 23/02/2015 08:55

Sorry for the Crepeys with sciatica…that's dismal. Flowers to Cremo and Stropps

How is Dylan this morning? Poor creature must be terrified…and wish you better from throat infection Beachy And strength to BD clearing the detritus of the forbidden lemon drizzle cake…

Thank you MrsS and others for suggesting a Sat night meet up…I would hope and love to come on 25th Smile. Question MrsS, based on fb posts etc…do you speak Ivrit?

I collapsed with complete homework exhaustion last night... face bookers will have seen my (very dyslexic) DD's post that the art assignment was finally done. Thank goodness for the joy of "Call the Midwife"…DD went to be really early, DS2 went off to the RFH with his music class to eat at Wagamamas and then hear Mahler, and DS1 whom I haven't seen for a bit was doing a gig at Luton Hoo!!!

Looking forward to some professional activity after a bit of a dry period…commencing teaching two courses this week…one this morning....and a loooooong session with ConS tomorrow. Then Development Team day on Friday. This is rare for me…it's amazing how much better I feel with this on the horizon.

I am now going to weight myself. Hmm

Rosebag · 23/02/2015 08:56

Will do after work, NU

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/02/2015 09:07

Rose, ani lo medaberet Ivrit. Smile I used to speak some, when I lived there, and could ask directions, read a menu, have an argument and do my shopping, but that was about it. I can still do some basic stuff, but that's all.
Your DD's art project looked fabulous - a lot of hard work clearly paid off. I was so bad at art at school that I wasn't even allowed to do CSE.

Count me in for the 25th.

Rosebag · 23/02/2015 09:29

Ah ok...MrsS...I am looking or people to chat to...I was fluent, but very rusty now. How long did you live there for? Were you on kibbutz? My Ex was from Yafo.

I have lost another two and a half pounds. Not bad.

I can do 25th :)

Stropps, don't be too down-hearted about the sciatica. If you rest it will recover and you'll be able to find exercises you can tolerate. I've been plunged into gloom by various joint pains but I'm getting more philosophical as I realise they're not permanent.

Beachy, hope Dylan is on the mend.

DH has been in bed with a bad cold, so I've been miserable all weekend & this morning I drove for an hour for a meeting with someone who didn't turn up Angry. Hate it when DH not well, get twitchy and grumpy and over-anxious.

And have to sing at a funeral this afternoon. But choir tonight, so that should help Grin
