Do you wear jewellery every day?

What do you wear? I haven't worn jewellery in so long but am starting to make more of an effort and take more pride in my appearance. I've got in some very small pearl earrings and a simple silver necklace with a leaf on.

Always wear my engagement ring, watch, silver ring, diamond pendant and a silver bracelet. Don't always wear earrings, but if I do my favourites are a pair of diamond square studs or a pair of silver chunky hoops. I'm not very good with jewellery, just trend to wear what I like and it never goes.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/02/2015 12:54

Yes, my default is wedding and engagement rings, a silver ring on the other hand, a small silver pendant on a chain and simple silver earrings, either sleepers or studs.

ourglass · 11/02/2015 12:55

I wear my engagement ring and wedding ring, and a different pair of earrings every day.

LadySybilLikesSloeGin · 11/02/2015 12:57

Nope. I used to wear a necklace with a small diamond every day but it got caught on ds's bag on the school run one day and that was it. I haven't replaced it yet as I can't find one I like and it took a long time to save up for it so it's more sentimental then anything. I have some other necklaces but I'm terrified of losing them too. Sad

Thumbwitch · 11/02/2015 12:57

No.

I don't have pierced ears, so earrings are a PITA; and I can't wear my wedding/eternity rings on my fingers because they're a touch too small AND I get dermatitis from where I sweat under them because it's too fecking hot here (Aus). I do sometimes wear them on a chain around my neck, but keep having to take it off so DS2 doesn't swing on them.

nilbyname · 11/02/2015 12:57

I have me wedding jewellery
Silver bangles- 2 of
Silvery geometric stud things for my ears
Then I might wear a necklace, I've got on a bright Orange wooly sweater with a sage green/gold statement necklace.

weaselsquirrel · 11/02/2015 13:01

I can't wear my ring at the moment either thumb because I have dermatitis and very sore itchy hands. I've got a watch on a bit higher up my wrist to try and avoid irritation

I always wear earrings.

I really look different with earrings in. I wear silver ones mostly, and they are about 2 cm long on average.
It must be the shiny bit next to my face makes my face look different.

I also wear a simple silver necklace most days, plus wedding ring and watch

arlagirl · 11/02/2015 13:11

No rings.
Always earrings and bracelets.
Occasionally necklace but a big one.

TobyLerone · 11/02/2015 13:13

Nope. I don't like jewellery. I only wear my wedding ring.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/02/2015 13:14

I can't wear bracelets or bangles (apart from for the odd night out), they just get in the way, catch on things and are uncomfy when I'm working on the computer (which is a large part of my day). I do think they look lovely on other people though, really add something to an outfit. I always wear a silver coloured watch though.

IsabellaofFrance · 11/02/2015 13:17

A really pretty sterling silver necklace. I wear it at all times and havent taken it off for 3 or so years.
My engagement and wedding rings.

I dont have much other jewellery.

StrumpersPlunkett · 11/02/2015 13:18

engagement and wedding ring always
an other ring on my right hand these 3 rings never come off except to be cleaned once a week.

Earings - always I have 2 pairs that I wear, change them once every few months but they too are cleaned each week

LulaPalooza · 11/02/2015 13:22

On my left hand I have my engagement ring. I am temporarily estranged from my wedding ring - I dropped it and it rolled under the fridge. I can't be bothered to move the fridge to retrieve it. I wear a watch on my left wrist.

On the right I have a silved ring on my little finger which my DM bought me when I passed my A Levels. It used to be in a plaited shape but has owrn almost smoth now. I rarely take it off. On my wrist I have three silver bracelets - a silver bangle from DH and two bracelets which I have just realised are from exes. I just like the bracelets, they don't hold any sentimental value as such. I change the bracelets around fairly frequently. I have tons of silver jewellery.

I wear necklaces and earrings less often, but always if dressed up to go out.

I love silver jewellery

Almostfifty · 11/02/2015 13:26

Earrings and wedding rings, with one other ring on my right hand. That's it.

Iamblossom · 11/02/2015 13:30

engagement, wedding and two eternity rings on the same finger
trio silver ring and diamond pave ring on other hand
sparkly earrings
silver necklace with two silver discs with my DC's fingerprints on
tiffany silver bracelet and Pandora charm bracelet on the same wrist

Wear the above every day

For work I would also add a chunky silver bracelet on the other wrist and swap the necklace for something bigger. Also add a watch.

dexter73 · 11/02/2015 13:34

I wear jewellery every day. I have quite a lot so try and wear something different every day. Some of it is for evening only though. I do love all my bling!

iseenodust · 11/02/2015 13:38

Daily wear - wedding ring, engagement ring, grandmother's ring on other hand, watch, small earrings.

SASASI · 11/02/2015 13:40

Just earings & my engagement \ wedding \ eternity rings when they fit.

Wear a watch & bracelet when anywhere other than work - I hate them hitting off desk & keyboard!

Wear a necklace at wkends.

Nolim · 11/02/2015 13:42

Earings and ring for regular days

mowglik · 11/02/2015 13:53

Stopped wearing earrings once ds was born but I wear my engagement ring and wedding ring every day, also usually another ring on the other hand, leather bracelets on right hand and watch and simple diamond necklaces

I would love to wear rings on every finger like some women I know, it looks a bit ott but really decadent but can't be bothered with that much jewellery for every day
I read somewhere that wearing accessories makes you look younger and I did notice that women with a younger vibe tend to wear more jewellery (whatever their age)

hellsbellsmelons · 11/02/2015 15:02

I also wear jewellery every day.
A few different sets here too.
Usually very matching.

hellsbellsmelons · 11/02/2015 15:07

The 2 things I wear every day though that stay the same, ring and watch:-

Am a jewellery fiend.....i have far too much of it and have in recent years developed a bad recreational spending jewellery habit throughout the year....but to be fair, I dont have children and also inherited a fair few things from family....many bits bought on travels or made specially so have memories attached.

Currently i have the following:#

Left hand/wrist: wedding and engagement rings. Citizen chronograph watch. Silver plait bangle [18th bday present] and unusual silver link bracelet [30th bday]

Right hand/wrist: silver & garnet ring [from Gems TV....] and a charmbead bracelet with some Mojos from Scarlett on it. [Have an embarassingly massive charmbead collection, not Pandora. Have calmed down now and dare not consider what I have spent, but got a lot of enjoyment]

Neckwear: 18" silver chain [an 18th bday present] which is great for random pendants, currently has a Mojo bead on it. Long 40" necklace with glass and silver charms

Earrings: diamond studs in white gold. Bought before i knew much about diamonds and on hindsight, wish i had gone slightly smaller with better quality stones. First world problem.

If i have no jewellery on, it is because i am sick!

Engagement and wedding ring on left hand

At work I wear earrings every day. I also have a selection of cocktail rings that I wear as the mood takes. I'm not wearing any at the moment as it's cold and most of them don't fit under gloves.

My jewellery collection is a matter of much comment at work as I have loads of unusual pieces. DH buys me something 'sparkly' for birthdays and Christmas. He has a very good eye and rarely spends more than £30-£50 but always gets something unusual and striking. I also buy jewellery when I'm on holiday abroad. I like to support local jewellers and I like to think my tourist pounds are going directly into the local economy and you can get some incredibly original bits for relatively little cash. My best buys have been from Bulgaria and Romania. I don't as a general rule wear necklaces. Partly this is because I get migraines and pressure around the neck area can be a minor trigger and partly because I get excema on my neck and back so chains can irritate it. I do have a collection of glass pendants, bone carvings and pounamu (New Zealand jade) for when I want a reminder of home.
