Best liquid eyeliner?

Oceanpurple · 18/01/2015 12:25

I'm looking for a new eyeliner - have never sought out a good eyeliner before and have used numerous rubbish ones. I wear a lot of benefit makeup and was thinking of buying the 'they're real' push up one, but the reviews are mediocre. Anyone have any good recommendations? Good for doing winged eyeliner and that stays for a long time? Thanks! Smile

I still stand by Barry M liquid eyeliner. No reaction with my eczema prone contact wearing eyelids and stays put all day through rain, gym, even getting punched in the face! (In sparring sessions, not pub fights)
Its the original one in the conical like pot.

Oceanpurple · 18/01/2015 15:34

Ah, I wear a Barry m one currently. It's the blink one and is so so. May look at the pot one but I find them quite difficult to apply as opposed to a pen (shaky hands!)

I like the maybelline master precise. It's a felt tip one. Also Lancôme artliner is lovely.

I got a sample size of the benefit one and absolutely hated it. Be aware it's a gel not liquid so your line and flick won't be as precise as a liquid.

southeastastra · 18/01/2015 16:58

smashbox or nars, last well and easy to use.

Oceanpurple · 18/01/2015 17:46

Thanks!

Hated benefit one too.

Boots 17 Tatoo Me is pretty good, not perfect, but it's about a fiver so pretty good considering the price.

TJaneR · 19/01/2015 11:11

Has to be Super Liner perfect slim, its like a pen, I'd be confident in saying I have used all eye liners and this one is the best!

if you follow Instagram beautybloggerlondon gives great tips on the latest trends. There's some amazing beauty bloggers out there who give advice on the best products etc.

TJaneR · 19/01/2015 11:11

Loreal superliner slim! The brand would help!

MixenLane · 19/01/2015 12:34

Collection (2000) Fast Stroke Eyeliner. £2.50 from Superdrug.
I still can't believe how much I love it, as I tend to have a preference for high end brands of cosmetics. I've been using it for 3 years now.

Oceanpurple · 19/01/2015 16:29

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have christmas money and want to spend it wisely! Grin
On another note, has anyone used the Benefit boi-ing concealer? Have used L'oreal's Touche Magique for ages but have recently had some sort of teenage pimple outbreak (glamorous, I know) and it's pretty rubbish at covering up spots - it's better for dark circles.

Collection 2000 24hr felt tip liner, this is my dd's holy grail product and she has now turned me to it too. Super easy to use, lasts for ages and is only 3 quid- can't beat that.

Would recommend the boi-ing concealer for spots as it is yellow based and good for cancelling out any redness. It has good staying power too and a little goes a long way imo. :) x

BiancaDelRio · 19/01/2015 17:24

The Collection one is the absolute bollocks. Love it.

The Rimmel Exaggerate one is great too.

I have the Benefit one and hate it. You twist up the product, nothing comes out. You twist again, a big lump comes out Angry . It's also impossible to angle properly and the line it produces is too thick.

HATE the L'oreal super liner. The felt tip dries out so quickly and the product goes on patchy and watery.

The best eyeliner in the whole wide world (and I've tried them all) is Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper. It's incredible. But only available in the states Sad .

Oceanpurple · 19/01/2015 17:29

Thanks snowflakes. Ah, Bianca, it's such a shame about Kat Von D being unavailable in the UK. It's not a makeup brand exactly, but it really annoys me that there are no Sephora stores in the UK! I bloody love it there. It's like make-up heaven. You can get stuff shipped but it just isn't the same.

OP posts:
BiancaDelRio · 19/01/2015 17:32

Tell me about it Ocean.

I love Sephora but limit myself to ordering once or twice a year because the postage is so much Angry .

I've just bought a load of stuff from Makeup Geek too and the postage was ££. Worth it for the eye shadows though. They're gorgeous.

DP is planning our first ever trip to the U.S. (New York). He might as well just drop me off at Sephora when we get there and pick me up again on his way home Grin .

impatienceisavirtue · 19/01/2015 18:21

I use a no 7 one I've had about two years nearly every day for work . It's a felt top type one, and it just won't run out! Not a super thin liner either. I just don't understand how it hasn't run out yet. Doesn't run off or fade either or bother my sensitive eyes, which most stuff does

ScooseIsLoose · 19/01/2015 18:22

I love the soap and glory supercst one it's great!

kavv0809 · 19/01/2015 18:25

Body Shop of all places do a great liquid eyeliner. It's a pen one but dips in the little inkwell iykwim. Good staying power and pigment and great for flicks. I've used lots but always return to this one.

Anjou · 19/01/2015 18:28

Mixen, that's what I came on to say! Been using the collection 2000 one for years, occasionally try others (when bought for me as gifts) but never found one so easy to apply, that lasts, comes off easy ... and its only £2.50!

pinkrocker · 19/01/2015 18:28

I have 8 Borjouis liquid eyeliner pens in my pot, stored top down. Just when you think that one must have run out by now lo and behold it works!
Number 7 was utter crap, dried out within days. I now use it to dip into my pot of Mac eyeliner (I'm an eyeliner addict!!)
I'm gonna try that collection 2000! Sounds good! Smile

MeganChips · 19/01/2015 18:32

Urban Decay 24/7 is absolutely brilliant. It doesn't move on me at all and my eyes water a lot. I like the effect of the pens but I always, always end up with it smudged onto my top lid, no matter what.

It's a really fine brush tip, I really rate it.

Sundayplease · 19/01/2015 18:37

I had an avon one which was cheap and cheerful, easy to use and the nib was like a fine felt pen.

Now I use scandal eyes by Rimmel which is thicker and better for evening make-up.

Myfanwyprice · 19/01/2015 18:46

I also recommend the body shop one, it is the best eyeliner I have ever used, so precise and easy to use.

Oceanpurple · 19/01/2015 18:50

Thank you so much everyone. I can get into town tomorrow after work so will have a look at the suggestions.

Wilkinsons do a brilliant one for about £2, my eyes water at the drop of a hat and this is brilliant, pure black and doesn't run. I used to love the primark £1 one but then they changed the formula and it runs Hmm

This is the Wilkinsons one, I buy the waterproof one.

I like soap and glory pen liner. It goes on v well but it does run
