I think I'm just a functional underwear type of person. My administrator is Shock when I admit I don#t do matching sets Grin

I have never had a matching set in my life, BD. The thought of lace or "panties" (horrible word) in man made fibre, with a cotton gusset (even worse word) brings me out in hives.

lalsy · 08/01/2015 08:55

Rudy Grin. My dh is wearing cycling tights too.

I have never understood about matching sets - surely you wear pants for one day and bras for longer? How do they ever get back in sync?

MrsS and BD, how frustrating.

hattymattie · 08/01/2015 08:59

Lalsy - I'm like you - no matching sets.

bigTillyMint · 08/01/2015 09:00

RudyShockGrin My DH also went off in cycling tights!

I did have some matching sets, but now have lucky dip! And no to itchy lace too! Even worse on a bra (though I need padded, so not so much of an issue!)

MrsS, can you feel a migrane/flu/whatever coming on for Friday?Wink

Blackduck · 08/01/2015 09:03

Rudy - Grin

Multiple pant-purchasing, Lalsy.

motherinferior · 08/01/2015 10:32

I have to set off for DM's hospital meeting later Sad

hattymattie · 08/01/2015 10:55

Sending strength MI.

MontserratCaballe · 08/01/2015 10:59

Hope it goes as well as possible for you, MI - that you get to ask all the questions you need and that the answers are reassuring Flowers

MontserratCaballe · 08/01/2015 11:00

I am working from home today but it is very cold and I am too easily distracted.

Rudy Grin re coldplay.....

I find Amadou and Miriam is better when dealing with the black dog.......

bigTillyMint · 08/01/2015 11:12

Good Luck, MI.

Spa Day for DD's 16th sounds lovely - will keep that in mind for my DD. Who managed to say goodbye to me this morning!

wilbur · 08/01/2015 11:21

Hope the meeting goes ok, MI.

Rudy - hahahaha at the image of your dh opening the door to bailiffs in his bib tights, the least manly clothing there is. My dh also in bib tights this morning, but had to take the car to garage first. I was snickering about the mechanics getting an eyeful of his lycra (with pink highlights!), but then worried that we will be fleeced as he is clearly a car-refusing ponce.

Need to work a lot today, but am going to theatre tonight, and dcs do not need picking up from school, so I have a blissful 1.5 hours free between end of work and start of show. I could read a magazine, have dinner on my own, go to a shop, the possibilities seems endless... Must get on.

lalsy · 08/01/2015 13:16

MI I hope you get reassuring news and clarity.

Aha on pants but they should sell them in packs with one bra then.

Rosebag · 08/01/2015 13:20

MI sending hugs to you today and a nice glass of Wine afterwards.

Grin Grin Grin Rudy….actually I think your post and the mental image they conjures up is an antidote to the black dog. Maybe the Bailiffs have made of with your Hush order?

Black and Nude mostly here.No matching sets, except for some ancient red ones, but the knickers are see-through…not a good look for the ageing and menopausal. I have worn and loved boring old Sainsbos high legs for years. They come in all sorts of colours so you can pretend to be matchy. I always go up a size in knickers but here's the thing…recently, presumably due to encroaching fatness, I'm getting a roll-down thing doing on. What to do? Size up again or is it time for granny pants to tuck it all in. Answers on a postcard, Crepeys.

Wilbur I love it when you get that after school time as child free. Enjoy…

More recent purchases tunic A S&B sin, so Id stopped buying them, but oh the joy…to collapse into stretchy leggings and a tunic. Wasn't sure but had a fair few compliments on it today, so it's a keeper.
Also jacket and sparkly which I haven't tried on yet.

Enough messing about! I need to get myself together with a 6 hour course to teach on Saturday…I can't find my intensive course teaching plan Shock

Rosebag · 08/01/2015 13:21

Heavens…..my typos...

Rosebag · 08/01/2015 13:23

link fail jacket

QueenQueenie · 08/01/2015 14:02

WooHoo, have done my tax return... as someone who always leaves these things to the absolute last minute (or longer) this is an achievement!

Am feeling very pleased with myself indeed but bit early for a sherry...

Like the s and b posts, especially that sparkly top Rosebag. Bargain!

Have been having a good old clearout and have vowed not to buy anything until I have cupboards and drawers under proper control.

MollyAir · 08/01/2015 16:45

Rudy, please go on a spa day with dd and report back here! I'm dying to start doing that with dd; but it will have to be just so to please the ultra-fickle dd, so I'll need proper reviews. Otherwise she is quite capable of sulking throughout a day at a luxury top spa, thus making massive expediture a complete waste and indeed counter-productive.

MI, I hope today was OK. Thinking of you.

herbaceous · 08/01/2015 17:32

I am SO Dying to be able to buy some new clothes. I have loads, but they're all old, bobbly, shapeless and shit. If I declittered, and got rid of anything that no longer looks any good, I'd have about an overnight bag's worth. I don't even have time these days to go to sains and sneak some new gear on to the JA.

Re pants, I buy cotton ones in white, pink and black to roughly match my bras. Can't bear the nylon pants you get in sets - give me Fanny Rot.

Snuck the hard copy of my assignment in two minutes before the deadline. Had to photocopy reams of appendices, and the university photocopiers are a) shit, and don't do double-sided, and b) 5p a sheet, which I feel is daylight robbery considering the fees I'm paying.

herbaceous · 08/01/2015 17:47

Ooh ooh - just got feedback for my first assignment, and it was 'good'! Feel very relieved, and wasn't even aware I was worrying about it!
