Boden Winter Sale.

I've just had the email to say the Boden Winter Sale has started. I've has a flick through and there's absolutely nothing that appeals to me.I bought what I wanted earlier in the year. I used to buy lots but not inspired to at the moment. Just seems to be over priced randomly patterned tat.

I've bought a retro tunic dress and a carnaby dress both with 50% off. Otherwise I agree - very poor discounts on stuff which wasn't all that great to begin with.

I haven't really bothered to look at Boden this season at all but had a look when I got my sale preview email.

I have ordered the navy Eliza tunic dress for £59. Am hoping it has a nod to Matthew Williamson but we shall see.

Also ordered Perfect Party Top in navy with gold flowers & the Off Duty Jumper in navy as DMBL40 has been extolling its virtues for a while now & I love a good oversized merino knit.

I bought the Eliza tunic dress pre sale! Sizing a little odd on this but have had stacks of compliments on the dress. Also bought a couple of dresses for work in the sale. Might pick up more stuff with further refunds

Happyhats: How "odd" is the sizing? I ordered 10R & L - am usually 8-10.

The retro dress is ok but the Carnaby dress is AWFUL! Which is what I wrote on my returns form.

Don't buy it, you won't like it!

My navy Eliza arrived today. The sizing is odd - I have a 12L, usually a 10R, and it's a little tight around the arms...but I love it. Will be wearing later this week with black suede boots and opaques.

My order arrived today too but haven't tried it on yet. However, at first glance:

Eliza dress: not sure about the print. It seems to be lacking something.

Perfect Party Top: love the fabric & cut. I have high hopes for this.

Off Duty Jumper - texture looks great & lovely navy shade.

Will try on later & report back more fully.

Ok just had trying on sesh.

The Perfect Party Top is a keeper. Nicely cut with some nice detailing.

Eliza dress: nope. It is badly cut, badly finished & it just looks cheap. Why put a polyester lining on a silk blend dress? If that doesn't put you off...be sure to size up at the very least.

Off Duty Jumper is lovely & will look fab with skinny jeans. However, I'm concerned that the bottom of the jumper might stretch due to the split side seams & the fact the knit seems too fine to retain shape over a period of time.

Glad to hear that the party top is a keeper Ujjayi. I have this on the way! Also ordered some straightleg velvet trousers but they haven't been despatched and I'm worried they may not be coming as they were low stock. What colour party tp did you get? I went for black/navy.

PetalPower I have the navy with gold flowers. Cannot wait to wear it. I think it could also be great for daytime too - even layered over a long sleeve tee (has 3/4 sleeves) with skinny jeans.
