Going out tops

LexieSinclair · 13/11/2014 20:55

Can anyone suggest any nice tops to wear with skinny jeans and heels for nights out?
I'm looking for something that's too dressy for daytime, but not too spangly or brightly coloured.
Hoping someone can help!

I like mint velvet for this kind of thing.

coffeenut · 14/11/2014 02:29

I'm looking too so will be watching with interest.

LexieSinclair · 15/11/2014 10:53

Both my go to going out tops are from mint velvet.

GeorginaWorsley · 15/11/2014 17:30

Hallhuber at HoF can be good too - have nice grey chiffony top from there that's fab with black skinnies. Also like MV.

skinnyamericano · 15/11/2014 17:39

Mint Velvet for me too - hoping for a discount code soon!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/11/2014 17:44

This is nice

So is this

burnishedsilver · 15/11/2014 18:41

Winter15 will give you 15% off at mint velvet skinny.

SuperFlyHigh · 15/11/2014 19:47

I don't get the mint velvet love....

But then all I have is a concession in dept store that's tiny. Nice stuff on their website if a tad overpriced.

GeorginaWorsley · 15/11/2014 19:54

Agree it is expensive.
The code above is welcome!

Sometimes find pieces on ebay but has high resale value.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/11/2014 19:55

MV stuff generally horribly overpriced and the quality isn't always great.

SuperFlyHigh · 15/11/2014 20:04

Remus have you seen or tried the Jack Wills tops? Am tempted got a shop near my work.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/11/2014 20:08

Seen but not tried. I only ever try their stuff on in the sales tbh. :)

SuperFlyHigh · 15/11/2014 21:39

Which would be me too Remus.

To be honest the tiny selection in my local concession hasn't tempted me much at all even in the sales or they've been too large sizes left!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/11/2014 21:41

I now possess four things from there, and must admit that I have found the quality v good (better than MV!).

LexieSinclair · 15/11/2014 22:04

Thanks everyone - I love that first JW top Remus linked to.
Interesting about MV quality not being great - I presumed that because they weren't cheap they would be decent quality.

They're hit and miss Lexie. Some of my favourite clothes are from there but I've returned some very disappointing items.

SuperFlyHigh · 15/11/2014 22:12

Remus sorry my reply was re MV not jack wills!

MyVegasBaby · 15/11/2014 22:13

Have just bought this which looks great with dark blue skinnies and heels. Dressy but in a subtle way! http://www.atterleyroad.com/stribus-navy-blouse.html

Zara worth a look too - have a couple of gems from there...

mowglik · 15/11/2014 23:32

Agree with zara and MV and also H&m are quite good too for cheaper going out tops

skinnyamericano · 16/11/2014 22:13
