Mine was £48 for a wash, trim and blow dry in Derby. Not particularly high end salon.

£30 for a cut and style in Durham.

Same salon was the same price a decade ago, so must be feeling the pinch!

FelixFelix · 08/10/2014 18:57

£25 for a cut and blow dry in Leeds city centre.

FiloPasty · 08/10/2014 19:00

Pre children I used to pay about £240 for foils, cut and blow dry - Central London.

Have tried loads of group on deals etc to get good rates but have now found a fab Swedish girl who comes to my house, and it's £70 very happy!

NoraRobertsismyguiltypleasure · 08/10/2014 19:02

£10 for a dry cut - I can't put my head back for the wash. Devon.

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 08/10/2014 19:08

£68 wash, trim & blow. South England.

£130 when I have T zone highlights. I know it's not t zone but I can't think of the bloody word. Full head is about £180.

FickleByNurture · 08/10/2014 19:10

Bloody hell there's quite some variation. Thanks ladies!

£140 for cut and blow dry in London last week. Shock

minkah · 08/10/2014 20:19

Solaia, I hope it was a reeeeaally good cut and that you love it!

MuttonCadet · 08/10/2014 20:23

£120 for highlights, cut and blow dry, Sheffield.

Rattitude · 08/10/2014 20:26

24 euros for a wash, cut and blow-dry in France. The hairdresser was excellent too.

I normally pay £40 in the North West of England and the guy is not as good.

I am back in France and will visit another good hairdresser here: 28 euros for this one, still a bargain compared to the UK.

I have short (and curly) hair and I find that hairdressers in France are a lot better at cutting my hair, probably because more French women sport short hair.

ScrambledEggAndToast · 08/10/2014 20:26

£114 for T-section, cut and blow dry. This was in Bristol.

Karbea · 08/10/2014 20:27

£185 for cut, blow dry, half a head in south bucks.
But I hate it!
So if anyone can recommend someone better near me or in Central London that would be great!

Eastpoint · 08/10/2014 20:27

£185 for cut & blow dry at lovely Central London salon. Cut by the owner who allows 90 mins for the cut so never rushed out. They have a points system & normally its a bit more but my points came off this time.

Fletchermoss · 08/10/2014 20:27

How much does everyone tip? I only give £2

Fletchermoss · 08/10/2014 20:28

Eastpoint you gotta be flipping minted?

rookiemater · 08/10/2014 20:31

38 for cut and blowdry, 78 including half head highlights.
I usually make it up to 40 for the cut and give 5 when having highlights.

Mintyy · 08/10/2014 20:32

£50 cut and blow dry, London zone 2/3 borders.

minkah · 08/10/2014 20:32

Points system?!

Why so very very £££££, Eastpoint? Is it a very special haircut? Or just a famous hairdresser?

morethanpotatoprints · 08/10/2014 20:39

Live in NWest

very curly hair and have paid top money before now, but don't anymore as they are all shit, especially the blokes.
local back street Salon now £10 wet cut and let it dry naturally.

ThisBitchIsResting · 08/10/2014 20:48

£90 for half head highlights every 12 weeks or so.

And DH cuts my hair for free every month or whenever it looks tatty on ends - I like a straight blunt cut (longish hair) and cba paying ££ to be annoyed that the stylist gets out the thinning scissors, tries to layer it into a mum style instead etc. At least if DH stuffs it up I'm just annoyed at him Grin

Mintyy · 08/10/2014 20:50

Yeah lol at Eastpoint. Hope it was worth it petal.

theonlygothinthevillage · 08/10/2014 20:57

I have curly hair and always end up with a slightly unsatisfactory cut, no matter how much I pay. I plucked up the courage to do a diy cut at the weekend after watching this video and it looks better than any pro cut I've had! m.youtube.com/watch?v=Iwf0NejSuPY

jchocchip · 08/10/2014 21:00

£5 for a wet cut and finish in West Yorkshire plus a £2 tip. And they will do fringes for free in between times. They charge more for a restyle, my daughter got charged £17 in there once for an art studenty asymmetrical layered cut. I used to go for an expensive cut and blow dry at the hairdressers, but when I was short of time found that there was a good stylist in this barbers who was a perfectionist and I used to tip her up to £10 in total.

Eastpoint · 08/10/2014 21:04

mintyy & minkah

Owner has cut my hair for years & also is on TV regularly - cut my hair before he was famous - I like him & can afford it. Think how much tax I must be paying if I can pay that for a haircut .

TheBigBumTheory · 08/10/2014 21:05

£27 today. Cut and blow dry

I live in a lovely back end of nowhere town in a 70s time warp, though.
