Here you go Crepesters...

OP posts:
motherinferior · 16/10/2014 11:03

Beachy, my sister has a lovely retired greyhound. Laziest beast in the world. Grin

bigTillyMint · 16/10/2014 11:10

Stropps, go girl! I am loving the positivity!

Beachy, good luck!

MI, I am also feeling this week is long.

herbaceous · 16/10/2014 12:28

Well, SOM has just been round to practice his accompaniment to my bassooning. He's so sweet.

And yay Stropps - you're like a new woman. Love it.

I am trying to do my first course assignment, something about application reflective practice to my teaching so far. Snooze-tastic, yet difficult, a bad combination for someone as lazy as myself.

lalsy · 16/10/2014 13:13

Stropps, great news all round Grin.

My week is short - possibly because I am on Tuesday lunchtime work-wise.....

beachyhead · 16/10/2014 15:48

OMG, the home checker is coming in two hours! Only applied this morning. Frantically washing dog bedding so I look like suitable devoted dog mummy Grin. Doesn't help that ddog1 buggered off for at least 20 mins this morning pheasanting so is covered with mud and has sprained her paw.

Stropperella · 16/10/2014 16:26

Surely a dog covered in mud is a happy dog, Beachy? Grin Good luck with the home check. What sort of dog are you getting?

bigTillyMint · 16/10/2014 16:43

So many good reasons not to get a dogGrin

hattymattie · 16/10/2014 19:09

Beachy - my friend used to be forever washing her dog and he used to go straight outside and roll in the mud - I think mud is what smelt good to him not his fancy doggie shampooSmile. I have visions of you rushing round hoovering for the doggie social services. By now you've probably had your visit - fingers crossed.

NUFC69 · 16/10/2014 19:58

How did the check go, Beachy? Have you been approved? A DFr used to have a lovely golden retriever, one day on a walk to the beach he found a dead seal and he rolled on it. Thereafter every time he went back there he went to the same spot and rolled again - this went on for months.

I am feeling better but still not quite right. We did go to the funeral of my DFr's father - he had been married for 68 years - amazing (and they only dated for 6 weeks before they married).

beachyhead · 16/10/2014 20:22

Approved for a dog.... just hoping our one is still available. His status on the website seems to have changed to 'no more applications' so I'm hoping that means he's ours and not someone else's. Here he is.....

Woof!

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/10/2014 20:56

Arf!

Stropperella · 16/10/2014 21:44

Very handsome fellow, Beachy. Will you hear tomorrow?

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/10/2014 21:55

I am excited for new Beachydog. He is lovely. Smile

Am having horrendous week at work. They have just cottoned onto the fact that I am not in next week and am trying to get another week's work out of me before I'm off. I am working with two people who loathe each other, and it is most entertaining.

herbaceous · 16/10/2014 23:15

I think the crepeys should be able to name him.

cremolafoam · 17/10/2014 00:00

Yay a Crepster Dawg!

Just lost another post. Too tired to retype. Meh

TFIF! Feeling knackered, not helped by night out with friends (at my local place where a few of us met in the summer), but at least I'm not feeling hungover!

DS has made it out of bed every morning this week - yay! - despite training 4 times and playing 2 matches. God knows whether he has completed any homework!
DD has seen 3 sixth forms and is on her knees, so stressing even more about schoolwork... Will try to pile on the TLC this weekend.

Congrats, Beachy - he does look a handsome dogSmile

Sympathies again MrsSCake

MontserratCaballe · 17/10/2014 09:52

Lovely dog, Beachy. Hope you find out today that he is yours.

Rudy, I am so sorry about the parents' evening. I don't really know what to suggest as mine are so much younger but I am sure Stropps will have good advice. How old is he? Would a combination of carrot / stick work?

Sorry your work is being so unreasonable, Mrs S. It does sound like a very unsatisfactory (and badly managed) organisation. Is next week NY NY? Have fun.

About to see personal trainer woman. Am not feeling in personal trainer mood. Hope she can buck me up a little. It's been a vile week. I feel some serious spending coming on.

Have haircut with new bloke today at same salon as my lovely German usual woman away. Hope it's going to be OK. I am in desperate need of colour, but rather scared to trust a different person after epic hair disasters in the past.

Have a good day.

hattymattie · 17/10/2014 09:59

BTM and Rudy - parents evenings are horrible. I'm not looking forward to mine and I think I'm going to avoid DS's maths teacher altogether and the grounds that she's a psychopath. When I'm in front of teachers I actually feel that I'm back at school.

This morning the gym teacher made us use mini trampolines which have exhausted me and made me feel vaguely sea sick. It was also a trial for my pelvic floor muscles. It's alright for these fit young things in their twenties who have not had three children.

Beachy the new mutt looks highly intelligent. His eyes are almost human. What will he be called?

NUFC69 · 17/10/2014 10:30

Love the idea of naming the dog, but I expect we'll have to leave it to Beachy's DC.

My sympathies with BTM and Rudy: BTM knows that we had all sorts of problems with DS when he was at school and his exam results were awful. He only just got into Uni but really enjoyed it and, more importantly, worked. He is now extremely successful in his chosen career so do not lose hope.

Hurray, I feel better today, although the thought of food is not appealing (not a bad thing ss I still haven't got down to my pre-cruise weight (April). Sad

I am feeling very sentimental: Dh went in the loft yesterday and brought down a beautiful wooden cradle and desk and stool which belonged to DD all those years ago. There is even a doll so I have decided to get a pattern and knit some clothes for it.

Just one more day, MrsS, and then freedom! I hope the hair appointment goes ok, Monty.

hattymattie · 17/10/2014 10:51

NU - words of hope for the mothers of boysSmile.

Glad you're feeling a little better - the recovery time seems quite long.

I was planning to go out to a nice walk with my friend and her dog and it has just started drizzling contrary to the weather forecast. I can feel a lunch involving chips coming on which will undo all the good work done by trampolines (see below).

motherinferior · 17/10/2014 10:53

I am wrestling with CDiff. I don't quite know what to do. My role here is supposed to be to edit copy and make it all quite punchy and readable but they are adamant they don't want ANY changes to the - often unreadable - stuff they produce. So I have these carefully honed, proofed and very good features in the bulk of the mag, and frankly embarrassing stuff in the rest of it. And in between I am patronised and made to feel I am quite stupid.

Tell me, my friends, am I indeed both thick and obstructive? Also am I semi-illiterate?

hattymattie · 17/10/2014 11:01

You write articulately, intelligently and wittily. Not sure if you're an obstructive so and so thoughWink .
