Here you go Crepesters...

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 01/10/2014 15:17

That sounds very cute, Cremo. I would like some pastel accessories for my kitchen, but I can't seem to find any I like. This may mean that I am out of touch with what is fashionable in kitchens!

I remember the bombing scares, etc in 1980's London. We always just shrugged and carried on, but maybe that was drink youth!

motherinferior · 01/10/2014 15:39

I have blagged press tickets to the stage production of East is East and am chuffed with self (though as it'll be after I get back from my mum's chemo appt I may be in No Fit State) and also the new Nick Hornby. Sometimes this gig has its perks.

cremolafoam · 01/10/2014 16:40

Excellent ligging MI.
You'd not get any press tickets off me Grin I'm well strict. Repeat blaggers get a big red button on their accounts unless I see something in print . Wink

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2014 16:44

Great, MI - I went to see it when it first came out, in Stratford IIRC.
Cremo, you're hard line!

motherinferior · 01/10/2014 16:53

NU, how're you feeling? Also have emailed you. Grin

NUFC69 · 01/10/2014 17:08

MI, I have just replied. I am actually feeling better now (did some ironing) and am now pondering on whether to let my DSis and her DH come on Friday. The house is a tip as I haven't been up to doing things and DSis notices things like that. Sad

hattymattie · 01/10/2014 17:30

Well DD has arrived but no news on her room etc. I keep trying not to look at my texts every to seconds.

My kitchen is really old. I painted the units a cream and have an IKEA wood worktop which has now gone black round the sink as I am crap at oiling it. I also clean without my glasses on and every now and then I notice with horror coffee splashed down units etc. I join Herbs with the sweetcorn pebbledash.

hattymattie · 01/10/2014 17:30

...every two secondsBlush

Rosebag · 01/10/2014 17:51

Wilbur BTM heavens I would be so chuffed if Crepeys came to see the first showcase which is likely to be in February as part of a range of 30 minute pieces by new writers. The actual script is being developed as a full length piece, though, which we will also be looking to stage. I have spent the entire afternoon, editing scenes and monologues. Oh and for my FB friends there are photos of both ConScript and Herr Direktor…but you have to search, either down my time one until you find pics of a charity tea party I held back in March…or they're in my mobile uploads. See if you can guess who's who…. Grin
NU so glad you are feeling better.
MI I think seeing a show after DM's first chemo might be just what you need….
Hatty fingers crossed your DD is setting in well.

Rosebag · 01/10/2014 17:53

time line, not time one!!!!

NUFC69 · 01/10/2014 18:21

Wow, Rose, I am very impressed. Will I be boasting about my friend, the dramatist? she muses....

My kitchen was done about 6 years, but I would still change bits of it, but particularly the tiles, and I would never have a ceramic hob again.

Hatty, she will be fine, but I know you won't be ok until she is sorted out.

lalsy · 01/10/2014 18:46

Woohoo Rose, that's so exciting!

Hatty, hope you hear some details soon.

cremolafoam · 01/10/2014 18:51

NU glad your are feeling a bit better.
Rose, I'd definitely come over to see your play- sounds like a perfect crepey meetup opportunity, if it didn't put too much stress on you!Smile

The physio has completely destroyed me this afternoon. I swear she has a dark side. She seems to delight in my expressions of pain. I find it difficult to believe that "feeling the pain means it's getting stretched and so getting better"
Er, no it's just bastard hurting. Sometimes I despair at the narrow view of certain medical practitioners?( insisting that their specific decipline is the answer to everything) Why does the physio think she can cure nerve pain by stretching muscles? Angry < limps off furiously>
Still I have Bake Off and some Giant Meringues. Cake

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2014 19:08

Cremo, sounds rough. But as you say, you have GBBO. And Giant MeringuesEnvy

So who do you think will win? I think Richard. Or Luis.

herbaceous · 01/10/2014 19:10

I'd been hoping for Nancy (who makes me think of an older version of BTM!) or Nancy, but fear it might be Luis, who I find rather irritating with his barely controlled OCD, and insistence on talking us through what he's doing as if it's HIS show. It's Mel and Sue's show, Luis, with walk-on parts for Bezza and the silver fox.

herbaceous · 01/10/2014 19:10

I meant Nancy or RICHARD.

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2014 19:14

Really Herbs? I am flattered - I like NancySmile
Yes Luis is a bit irritating. But he is very perfectionist, which seems to matter when you are baking (but not in our houseWink)

hattymattie · 01/10/2014 19:17

Hurrah DD has checked in and sent photos on FB - rooms seems miniscule but has a wash basin and nice view. She seems happy and I know she's safe. They're doing pizza making together this evening so sounds fun.

I'm going to collapse with beer and The Good Wife.

Rose - theatre sounds great - wish I could come.

Crem -' ouch - I always assume physio will be like a massage - obviously not the case.

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2014 19:20

Hatty, that sounds great - DD and collapsing with beer. Do you not get la grande bake-off anglais?

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2014 19:22

Oops, anglaise!

hattymattie · 01/10/2014 19:30

BTM - French DH does not like bake off in it's British or French guise. I only just get away with Masterchef so I'm not pushing my luck. He loathes Strictly but is outvoted by the rest of the familyWink.

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2014 19:33

Oh Hatty, can't you send him out for a ride on his velo or for a game of petanque or for a bon bouteille de vin, or something?!

motherinferior · 01/10/2014 19:48

Mr Inferior also not a fan.

I would like Chetna to win as I think she's fab but actually I'd be happy for any of them.

Rosebag · 01/10/2014 19:50

ooh Hatty can you watch it on your phone or iPad with headphones not to offend DH? Great news about your DD btw.
Hardly a dramatist NU but I'm certainly liking my early forays into script writing. I just felt I had a story to tell, and dived in head first. I'm just lucky to have strong connections with a local theatre company who are running with it, thus far, and to have twisted ConScript's arm to help me. How ever much I may complain about him, he's been a brick. Thanks for all the other supportive comments too. I'll look into block booking when the time comes and see if we can get a discount on tix….Smile
And now GBBO to look forward to…my cup runneth over…. Grin

herbaceous · 01/10/2014 19:56

I've got to wait until DP gets back from Dublin at 9.30 tonight to watch GBBO. Luckily for me he's a huge fan of both this and Masterchef. Not sure what would happen to our relationship if their ever stopped running either. He can't stand Strictly either, though has been getting quite into X Factor of late, so it can only be a matter of time...

Right. Bit more academic reading before I make my dinner.
