Do you put your summer clothes away?

I never have as so much of what I wear is all year round BUT wardrobe space is now so tight that I might fold my summer dresses and trousers and put on a shelf.

What do you do and when?

I've got wardrobes with very high top cupboards - I have to stand on steps to reach, and swap the out of season clothes to these. I do a swop round in Spring and Autumn.

Oh and wardrobe space. In our bedroom DH has a very tall triple wardrobe and 2 drawers, I have a very tall double wardrobe and 5 drawers

In the box room I have a double wardrobe and 4 drawers and pegs for handbags, spare coats etc.

In DS's room - he has about left home so DH has a cupboard for his sports kit and I use the bits of DS's wardrobe and drawers he hasn't left clothes in, so I suppose quite a lot of space in all.

My shoes are everywhere, including on DS's old bookcase Blush

I always do. Seasons are very different from each other here. No point in having the summer gear taking up space when I have so many woolly items that are needed 8 months of the year. I rotate the summer and cold weather items in big plastic storage tubs that I keep in the basement.

I have very little wardrobe space and virtually no storage. I vacuum pack either my summer or winter wardrobe and the difference it makes is amazing, the packages are long but very flat so can slide in bottom of wardrobe and they are sealed completely.

I love changing the clothes over, gets me excited about the forthcoming seasons! God I am sad aren't I.

Oh, I really must do this.

My wardrobes are crammed with clothes, and there is a lot of high summer stuff that I really won't wear again until next year.

I have a 26 foot walk-in loft containing a huge clothes rail; unfortunately it is bursting with stuff I have archived over the years but can't bear to part with, so there's no room for my summer clothes - I'm a bit stuck! I need to get a grip and have a proper clear out. I am one of those saddos with a massive pile of stuff to eBay "some day", which never gets any smaller. Blush

A job for the weekend, perhaps....

Cointreau- do you have a pic of your loft setup, or could you describe it? I am intrigued! And I know a good joiner.

We have a chalet bungalow, but only about 1/3 of the "loft" space has been converted. So we have a magic door in our upstairs bathroom that opens out into a loft, filling the rest of the roof space.

It should be an amazing storage space, but I've managed to full it with boxes of crap due to my inability to throw anything away. Blush
