They actually make my heart beat faster.
TIA

Can you identify these beautiful boots?

They look like the boots my friend makes. I think they are the 'Regent' style:

David Preston shoes

Flangeshrub · 04/09/2014 12:57

They are 'mum' boots aren't they? Except in an enormous size?

plasticbanana · 04/09/2014 12:59

Thanks tethers I'll look at your friend's shoes. Grin Flange.

Oh they're really nice boots tethers though not exactly the same. These ones have a seam across the toe and the toe seems to be a bit more squared off.
Flange I like that they're really long. Maybe they're men's boots. 'Dad' boots.

That's definitely a bloke. Not that that should put you off getting them if you track them down.

tethersend · 04/09/2014 13:17

Oh yes, I see the stitching now I look more closely. I need to wear my glasses and am steadfastly resisting them Grin

Will keep looking. But they are definitely men's boots.

plasticbanana · 04/09/2014 13:21

Dammit squoosh you're right. Well that is a vital clue. Thanks. Luckily my feet are 6.5 so I might be in luck.

minkah · 04/09/2014 13:22

They are really lovely. Classic boots. They might be russell and Bromley?

squoosh · 04/09/2014 13:26

I have had carnal knowledge of many of that species plastic. They're the common or garden, messy haired, skinny jeaned bass player boy.

plasticbanana · 04/09/2014 13:28

Actually tethers maybe you were right all along. I zoomed into the picture and there is an upper curved seam that I didn't see before and it looks like the 'toe seam' is just an illusion caused by the creased leather and the toe box thingy.
I might have to pay your friend a visit. Thanks so much.

OP posts:
minkah · 04/09/2014 13:29

definitely not asking if that species make good lovers

minkah · 04/09/2014 13:29

waiting hopefully

tethersend · 04/09/2014 13:30

Hmm, I'm not so sure, squoosh. I think those legs belong to someone with a LOT of money, probably from west London, who wishes he played the bass, but has to satisfy himself with snorting coke with that bloke from Kasabian in the toilets of the Marathon Kebab shop Grin

Where did you take the photo, OP? I think they may be high-end designer numbers...

tethersend · 04/09/2014 13:32

Hang on, I'll get my glasses...

tethersend · 04/09/2014 13:33

Oh, yes- I see (literally).

I think they are DPs after all.

squoosh · 04/09/2014 13:34

Oh maybe you're right tethers, he's an imitation bass player. My loins would not tolerate fancy dress bass players. Don't dress like a rock star if you can't deliver dammit!

squoosh · 04/09/2014 13:35

minkah my 'studies' have shown me that the common or garden tousled haired bass player does indeed make a good lover. Very enthusiastic and uninhibited. Total show offs.

plasticbanana · 04/09/2014 13:38

I found it on Pinterest tethers here

OP posts:
Shia · 04/09/2014 13:52

They look very similar to men's Zara and Massimo Dutti.

minkah · 04/09/2014 13:56

squoosh it was good of to take on those studies to be able to pass on the information to fellow students.

Thankyou.

squoosh · 04/09/2014 14:08

I'm a slave to academia minkah, a perfect slave.

plasticbanana · 04/09/2014 15:05

Thanks so much to everyone for their insights!
tethers I've been in touch with your friend. He is very helpful.

They look like Gucci Curtis boots. Harrods have them here: www.harrods.com/product/curtis-square-toe-boot/gucci/w12-0301-065-GUC-185?cat1=new-shoes&cat2=shoes-men-boots

Milmingebag · 04/09/2014 15:24

I have a pair just like them from Agnes b.

minkah · 04/09/2014 15:25

Wow, brilliant, carpaccio!

Is there a cheaper dupe?!
