Right - here ( fresh from the architect thread) are the results of the survey.
topshop - nice but a bit flappy at the ankle
Marks - nice but too pointy and cheap leather meaning they were hard

The winners are..... fanfare

the Clarks ones. Matt black leather. SO SO much comfier than the other ones, even without socks - nice arch support #gimmer

I wore mine in Holland with mini tube skirt, opaques and biker - it was bloomin' freezing!

lurkingaround · 22/08/2014 19:21

Remus' 2nd look wouldn't translate on me at all maybem. 1st one I can do. Flipping saddlebags.

Shopaccordingly · 22/08/2014 19:28

I bought Boden ones from Ebay, not sure if they make my feet (size 6) look big.

See my thread for buying the Clarks orinoco club for £40 free delivery - cheaper than Clarks own website!

I have bought the brown and the black as bargain price.

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 22/08/2014 20:13

Chelsea boots are riding boots though. They're paddock boots. So if you get proper riding ones they'll last longer, no?

noddyholder · 22/08/2014 20:41

The Clarks ones are frumpy I think They look comfy and nice quality but I think they would make all your clothes look old fashioned. I like the schuh snake ones as I think they would add something a bit like ash ones gave your clothes a new 'look'.

noddyholder · 22/08/2014 20:43

www.allsaints.com/women/footwear/allsaints-delilah-boot/?colour=5&category=331 love but a bit £

Kablooger · 22/08/2014 21:04

You beat me to it.

All Saints ones fine, but stupidly expensive and no better looking than the Clarks ones.

Kablooger · 22/08/2014 21:09

agree. I dont get All Saints and wouldnt spend 200 quid on a pair of boots anyway

OP posts:
noddyholder · 22/08/2014 22:06

I don't like them cut too low. Prefer slimmer and higher.

noddyholder · 22/08/2014 22:08

I think the all saints not a true chelsea boot though maybe thats why I like them more.

lordnoobson · 27/08/2014 15:04

so both clarks ones came
the ones with the brown soles were SUPER WELLY style

the others - perfect

tethersend · 27/08/2014 15:14

Envy at Berlin trip. It's an amazing city.

My friend makes boots, they are amazing too Grin

(Black leather ones have photographed badly though. Heel doesn't stick out IRL)

lordnoobson · 27/08/2014 15:16

they do look a nice slim shape

fartmeistergeneral · 27/08/2014 15:17

Fab thread! I'm looking for ones that are very round at the toe, you know, a little chunky looking from the front but not to open at the top. Nothing worse than sitting down and they gape open. Do you know what I mean? The ones on here are lovely but very smart and sleek.

tethersend · 27/08/2014 15:18

They are vv slim- too slim for my fat ankles Angry

lordnoobson · 27/08/2014 15:25

yes, this is the home of the chicken legs, this thread.
The chunky legged have life easy.

lordnoobson · 27/08/2014 15:25

tethers! thought you were skinny legged too

tethersend · 27/08/2014 15:29

God no! It's milk bottles at dawn from the thigh down.

That's ok though, I have great tits Grin

lordnoobson · 27/08/2014 15:32

come and do fitbit with me

tethersend · 27/08/2014 15:35

Wtf is that?

noddyholder · 27/08/2014 15:36

omg tethers he makes boots for serge (faints)

tethersend · 27/08/2014 15:37

Even at my thinnest, my legs were still thick. I'm used to them, TBH. I just avoid things like flat Chelsea boots.

Bizarrely, cowboy boots work well. Have loads. Yeehaa.
