OMG bra intervention! !!

So ive seem loads of threads on this and decided to give it a go. Ive been wearing 38 E's, bit the intervention said I should be in 36 G's!! . So today I finally tried one on and after 'scooping' its true, 36 G it is. Norkasaurus!!!!

This was me a while back. Also now in a 36G, and getting much less upper back pain, even though heavy baby is much heavier! I have also invested in some Ewa Michalak bras, and the shape is amazing. It's meant I can wear some of the one-size-down tops I was keeping for when I finally managed to slim back down into them.

I tried to do it and I think I must have not measured correctly as it seemed to come out at 32G. There is no way I could be a G. I've never even worn an E. I don't want to be a 32 because the 34 I wear now feels tight!

Your 34 is probably several cup sizes too small, which is why it feels tight. What cup size are you wearing?

After reading a bra intervention thread I checked the "no nos" of your bra and mine tick all the classic boxes. I attribute this to losing some weight and being an m&s bra measurer when I was at uni (don't shoot!! I didn't know better!!)

How do I get bra intervention? Where do I go to start getting the proper help I need to battle this horrible condition?

I bra interventioned. I was in a 36D and came out as 32F. A 34E is actually the most comfortable, but I no longer want to tear my boobs off because my bra is so uncomfortable!

beccajoh I've actually just checked the labels of the two that I think fit (unlike the ones that are obviously wrong) and they are 36 not 34, C cup.
It is the band under the bust that feels tight, perhaps I'm just oversensitive to it. Could the wrong cup size be making the band feel tight?

My measuring tape may be complicating things - it has a medium size but cute mouse attached to it and the tape rolls back inside the mouse's tummy. I don't know if that could affect things.

Temporary the cups can hugely influence how the band feels. Try it on back to front as this allows you to feel the band in isolation. If you can pull it more than a couple of inches away it's way too big

Once I was measured in M and S and the measurer picked out a few which didn't fit once on, in various sizes. She concluded that something about me was just not a fit with any of their bras, she said they just weren't for me. I mean, the ones I wear now are from M and S and aren't so bad, but it was such a depressing experience being told that in the whole of M and S there was nothing that would fit me. Is it their actual bras or just the bra measuring that is problematic?

Their bras aren't great but their measuring is worse! I'm a 30HH,I mystery shopped them and they shoved me in a 36f. Ghastly!

But could they not see the bra was 6 inches too big? Blimey

I was 'intervened' with by Bravissimo :-) went from a 36D to a 34F - took a while to get used to how tight the band was but looked infinitely better and stopped the back riding up and straps slipping off my shoulders.
I have manged to loose weight now and the moulded cups are hilariously empty! I think using those measurements I'm now a 32E or F but I'm not certain enough to order online and pay the postage in case they don't fit so counting down the days until I'm back in the UK and can buy bras that fit! Although with the amount of chocolate I've eaten today I might just expand back into the ones I have!

temporary the problem in M&S is the fitting. I got fitted in Bravissimo, bought one if their pricey bras (and awesome strappy tops) then trundled off to Debenhams with a rough idea of size and knowing how they should look and feel. I guess you could do the same going to M&S after being measured somewhere decent.

Boleh, you only have to pay postage once with Bravissmo. They will happily send out exchanges, no extra postage to pay.

Have to agree with the OP. It was statistically and someone else who confirmed which size I needed after I used the mn way of working it out. Went out, bought a bra in that exact size and it's perfect. My boobs don't wobble about or sag anymore. Hooray! And thank you!

It's also worth giving them a call too. Their phone staff are pretty good at working out sizing too.

I've been watching bra intervention threads for a while. Quite a few years ago I did tell a friend she needed a new bra as the one she had was riding up the back so much...she wasn't totally offended but I did feel I had overstepped the mark.

I recently saw a mother with her daughter, whose bra also looked about 3 band sizes too big and I soo wanted to say something. As a teen I had very badly fitting bras my dead aunts bras and I think this added to my saggy tits

I intervened with someone I work out with at the gym. She was moaning about her sports bra, I grabbed the back and pulled it, it moved about 6 inches away from her body
I brought a tape measure to the next group session and did it as a "losing weight and changing shape you should get your bra refitted)
I wasn't as subtle with the first girl, I think my words were "wtf do you think THAT is going to do to support you?!"

Sports bras are rubbish if they don't fit. I have a drawer full.

I am off to try my new 30F tonight (up from 32D to 30E, but sports bra was better with an F).
