What's your budget? And would it include shoes and a bag?

marsybum · 09/08/2014 18:52

have a million bags in all colours (only thing that doesnt matter what size I am!) budget no more than about 50-75 quid realistically...

What sort of body shape do you have? Are there are particular parts you want to show off or cover up?

Wrap dresses and maxi dresses are normally flattering for pretty much all body shapes. You could pair them up with a bolero or shrug if you don't like your upper arms. Not sure if you want something longer than this wrap dress www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/koko-turquoise-wrap-over-shift-dress/sl519/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=9819

marsybum · 09/08/2014 18:58

im a pear shape, upper body not too bad but huge hips (partly due to the big tummy) legs okish i suppose... wouldnt want anything 'tight'

ooh im fussy arent i?

I saw someone about your size in a dress very similar (may well have been the same one) to the turquoise wrap dress upthread a few evenings ago. I remember because it looked stunning, I walked past again for another look. She had a grey/silver clutch with it.
I would say avoid the maxi dress route. I know a lot of people on here say they're flattering - they aren't.

Madaboutthrows · 09/08/2014 19:04

Pink,size:24 Red

Floral

Print,size:24 Blue

Mint

Maxi

I think all these would look nice with flat shoes.

Onesleeptillwembley · 09/08/2014 19:13

I know marsy. I've been flamed on here, but is rather tell the truth than not. That toile dress is stunning, too. There are some lovely less structured dresses going on in larger sizes now, which are fab with heels or equally with non heeled shoes. You should get something pretty nice with that budget, especially if you already have the bag. If it's something you can put a shrug or cardi over then you'll get to wear it in winter, too.

FlossyMoo · 09/08/2014 19:16

Pretty

SecretNutellaFix · 09/08/2014 19:19

ShyPhilosopher · 09/08/2014 19:19
