wow you've all found so much choice! the simply be stuff is lovely but it seems you need a credit account to order - does anyone know if they carry a decent range in their stores? There's one in my hometown but i rarely go to that shopping centre as my walking isnt good enough to enjoy it!

Do you live near any Indian fabric shops?

Friend of mine had beautiful loose tunic made with gorgeous Indian fabric she wore it with loose linen trousers and was able to wear very flat shoes-arthritis so her feet swell.

Loveliest and most original mother of bride outfit I have seen for ages- think it came in under £100 -helpful ladies in shop gave her a pattern and recommended dress maker.

Just checked the site and you can pay in full when you order using a debit card if you like.

I really Like that SimplyBe one FlossyMoo If I wasn't on a no-spend month, I'd be ordering that :)

NellyNoodle1 · 09/08/2014 19:47

Have you had a peek at Lady V London OP?

FlossyMoo · 09/08/2014 19:52

I find their stuff to be good quality and well fitting. Also not too expensive, they have a sale on at the moment and I have not only bought a few things purchased anything Grin

Dontgotosleep · 09/08/2014 20:00

Hi Mary.
I'm size 24 and go to simply be evans asda and new look.

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 09/08/2014 20:00

Also try monsoon. Their dresses come up big so a 22 with a bit of stretch will quite often fit a 24 or even a 26.

Yours clothing is quite cheap and has some nice surprises in amongst the other bits.

Dontgotosleep · 09/08/2014 20:02

Asos clothes are gorgeous, too.

Reframe your thinking.you're a wedding guest looking for outfit
Wear pumps they'll be comfy
Enjoy

PinkandTwinkly · 09/08/2014 20:06

I'm in the same boat (off to a wedding next month, size 24 and pretty skint)

To look smart i need some something in a heavier weight fabric, and fitted, Maxis and lose shifts make me look like a ship in full style

I've ordered a 50s ish swing dress from Lindy Bop, cheap and hopefully will flatter my shape. Fitted top, with full circle skirt to hide wobbly belly and thighs.

Will be wearing flats as I'm 5`11 and look stupid in heals.

MrsLettuce · 09/08/2014 20:14

(Lindy bob dresses are usually quite flimsy, IME, Sorry. Is this too pricey? Looks to be right on brief)

tethersend · 09/08/2014 20:15

Could you do a 22? this is a bargain...

tethersend · 09/08/2014 20:18

This would be nice with flat gold sandals

tethersend · 09/08/2014 20:19

silver would work well with suede flats and clutch.

tethersend · 09/08/2014 20:22

black and white

tethersend · 09/08/2014 20:23

over budget
