Enormous black eyebrows. Is this a thing??

Two pretty women in the cafe. Blonde hair, petite faces and the most enormous black, and obviously drawn on, eyebrows I've seen.

Is this a thing?

I feel a bit bad even commenting, really, as I'm usually very 'wear what you want, look how you want', but they're stunning and noteworthy.

Why? Just why?

I think it's less Kahlo and more Towie tbh.

Saw lots of girls with stenciled black brows wondering around Bluewater last weekend, and was offered a free trial of "Chelsea Brows" from a stand. They had different eyebrow shaped stencils - one being "dramatic" AKA two Groucho mustaches.

But when you look back at pics of Liz Taylor she used to wear her eyebrows in a similar fashion and looked gorgeous. I think dark hair sets them off well though.

Hurrah my eyebrows are finally in fashion.

It's a fashion I don't understand bit like when the pluck them all out and draw them on was a thing. I do have to tell myself over and over 'don't stare at the eyebrows'

I'm all for the natural eyebrows I wouldn't even notice if someone had monobrow

I think it looks a little Cleopatra although I am unsure that that is their aim

I remember some of the horrors of my youth....

That phase where people plucked to an inch of the eyebrow's life wasn't much better. Little arrows. Around the '90s

All the stars have them.

It's all about degrees. Some people will always go extreme, some not so much. I like the subtler end of this.

dotty - except some people are saying that. Young people. Same as some of the young people of the time said 'I love your overplucked teeny eyebrows'

I plucked mine to death. They wont grow back

I have also tried to grow mine back. Only the left one is cooperating so I look wonky.

Oh I'm worried about mine now. I used a powder to fill mine in. Please tell me the truth, are they really bad? I'm black haired if that makes a difference.

morphine - your eyebrows are lovely imo

Round here they go for dark brown brows rather than black, but they put them much too close together with only half an inch between - looks like they are frowning & grumpy

It's reaching epic proportions though, that's the problem.
Well defined brow= good look.
Obvious massive penciled in brow= Groucho look.

My younger cousin is a lovely pretty girl, 27ish.
Lots of FB photos out with friends, all lovely. I've noticed her hair is getting lighter as her brows are getting darker. The brows are taking over her face. Why? Why?
