boots now summer is over?

It looks like summer is drawing to an end so I am thinking boots
Last year I got clarks national sugar boots which I loved but calf height so too hot for some days
I want some ankle boots. Not chelsea type or mumsy boots
I am more of a rugged, chunky boot type
I am drawn towards these but may be a mistake as they are not my usual style

Anyway its warmed up again so I am back in flip flops

They are the sort of boots you would wear in Dec/Jan when it is cold and frosty. It says 'must haves' for Autumn/Winter 13, so if you wait until Dec you will probably get them half price in the sale I personally think they are OK (for winter) but I am quite old and like comfort for my feet.

Also I thought you said you didn't want mumsy boots.

I don't want anything like the school gate uniform which is uggs or neat little boots like the blue ones up thread

They are all so bloody middle aged, even the Russell and Bromley ones, they are too smart for proper biker style boots.

(My 76 year old mother in law has some like the ones in the OP)

The R&B ones are obscenely expensive and not v nice, either, imvho. I rather like these

OP I like those boots and tried them on in tan last winter. I agree that you need to leave the cuff up. I may go back for them this winter as they look so soft and cosy
