yes it is. there was a thread on S&B about abstaining from bying clothes for a whole year. I was aware I was doing far too much and I knew why - it was indeed an emotional response to a school gate situation.

it is hard to stop especially when you have kids to buy for - I fell off the wagon but have been much more mindful of the purchases I do make. Ive totally bought into the whole declutering thing and clothes is a major issue - now I can see how much overpsending I have done I feel disgusted.

I have bought winter coats two weeks ago, still in online sales from last year and I am only buying what we absolutley need to top up not a whole replacement wardrobe each season.

We have a new thread....its only for the month of August although for me, i need to start being better at using my pay as every month i seem to buy and you are right is an emotional response...something to cheer me up but it doesn't in the long run - i dont need the clothes and dont have the space for them either and i feel so guilty.
