You know the ones that grow in strange places or are fucking MASSIVELY long unnecessarily.

I have a fine white eyelash that is a third longer than my other ones. Why? Where the fuck did it come from and why is it a totally different animal to the others, like a cat hair or something. I also have one hair that sprouts above my nipple occasionally. Doesn't come right back again once plucked which is odd.

My partner has a hair that sprouts from the top of his nose that I have to pluck Confused

I have a blonde one on the top of my arm that must be 2 inches long. I also have a wirey one that sprouts out of my cheek, it's not there one day then BAM, its an inch long. Offers no resistance when I pull it though. The arm one I'm keeping, I want to see how freakishly long it gets.

PeppermintInfusion · 10/07/2014 11:22

I always find individual eyelash like hairs in random places

sebsmummy1 · 10/07/2014 11:24

That's so true! How can the hair grow so long so quickly! It reminds me of the Girls World I used to have where you could uncoil the hair at whim.

I have random eyelashes that grow on my eyelid just above my lashline. I have to pluck them out or eyeliner sort of bumps over them and won't have an even line. I also have random long white ones that appear out of nowhere on my neck. I have trained my teenage daughter and DH to scan my neck for them.

Onesleeptillwembley · 10/07/2014 13:25

I have one that grows in the crease just behind my knee. Sometimes immediately after plucking, sometimes a while after. I have a quick feel each night to see if it's appeared. The satisfaction I get from getting the little bugger is phenomenal. I live in dread of the day that I become too old and stuff to see it and get it.

theladylovescupcakes · 10/07/2014 13:26

Yep, I have these. One on my stomach, on my left upper arm, and in between my shoulder blades. A colleague at work had one in the middle of her forehead! About an inch and a half long! Know idea how she hadn't spotted it. I graciously wound it round my finger and pulled it out Smile

HecatePropylaea · 10/07/2014 13:27

I have rootless hairs on my bosom.

They are fair, almost transparent and they just slide right out when you pull them, there's no visible root or anything. Weird.

HecatePropylaea · 10/07/2014 13:27

When I pull them, I mean.

I am not saying that you pull them or inviting you to do so.

Germgirl · 10/07/2014 13:32

I have those on my stomach Hecate, weird aren't they? I also have one big black wiry hair under my chin. I check for it every day but it appears to grow about half an inch overnight, one day nothing, next day a big long chin pube!
I also get the long, very fine white hairs, one at the top of my arm, one on my cheek and one on my neck. I'm a freak.
My DH has the top of nose hairs. I have to pin him down x& pluck them, hairs should not grow out of the tops of noses!

HecatePropylaea · 10/07/2014 13:39

yes, really weird things.

Can I ask how old you all are - I am 43 and this has just started to happen.

So far - brick hard hair under chin

fair sort of rootless middle of forehead

and two behind the back of my knee and leg.

and worst of all an eyebrow that was over an inch long it was massive and different texture to a normal one!!!!

It feels amazing to find them but I am the same as you onesleep and just dread that one day I won't see them and other people will!!! Oh god getting old!!!

HecatePropylaea · 10/07/2014 15:21

I'm 40

Muskey · 10/07/2014 15:28

I too have a freakishly long white hair that grows on my shoulder as well as two horrible bristles on my cheek which seem to grow long overnight not sure I have any behind my knees as I have never looked better check in case I have a beard or something growing back there.

Germgirl · 10/07/2014 15:32

I'm 42 & the hairs have all appeared in the last couple of years. Nature is cruel, as your eyesight goes, the hairs appear, but you can't see them!

Onesleeptillwembley · 10/07/2014 15:43

Admit it - who else had a feel of their hairs whilst reading this? Grin

beccajoh · 10/07/2014 15:44

I have a pube-like hair that grows out of my left cheek. Hurts like buggery to pluck to out.

I get eyelashes in the corner of eyes if I leave them to long they go into eye

NCISaddict · 10/07/2014 15:58

i had a really long, white, fine hair on the underside of my breast, only spotted it when I was checking my chin in the magnifying mirror and it caught the light. It was about two inches long!

Why oh why does age come with such bodily weirdness?

Germgirl · 10/07/2014 16:03

I checked behind my knees with trepidation Wembley. Bald so far but I'm sure they'll sprout one day.

Onesleeptillwembley · 10/07/2014 16:14

They will, they're just waiting........

CrumblyMumbly · 10/07/2014 16:21

Funny long wispy hair out of shoulder that appears every few years - had this for ages so can't blame age (49), freaky long grey eyebrow that sneakily lies flat so you don't notice it until it catches the light. I have quite fair, fine hair so was never really a problem on my legs that a bit of ladyshaving wouldn't solve but....On my right shin only, I have suddenly sprouted black wiry hairs a bit like when Jeff Goldblum started turning into The Fly.....help me (in tiny squeaky voice).

Victrix · 10/07/2014 16:25

I too get the repeated rogue chin-lash.

I'm only 25 and I've been dealing with the bugger for about 3 years!

Marmaladecat1 · 10/07/2014 17:05

I have a blonde hair that grows in the middle of my forehead.
Takes ages to come back and then is about an inch long out of no where!
