Chop off your lower leg.

TwoInTheMourning · 30/06/2014 16:22

My lower legs are not half bad but I would happily chop my arms, belly and thighs Sad

I dud Dukan post twin pregnancy and lost about that, if not more. Not fun, but needs must, and it was fine.

ThisBitchIsResting · 30/06/2014 19:56

Eat nothing but high protein food and drink loads of water and Fybogel.

Hopefully · 01/07/2014 14:02

In all seriousness, I did a major crash diet before my wedding (because I was 3 months post natal on my wedding day), and basically reduced my diet to protein, salad, seeds and Greek yoghurt. Lost lots of weight, and my skin looked fab.

Ujjayi · 01/07/2014 18:53

Jillian Michael's Burn Fat Boost Metabolism dvd is brilliant. I lost around 4-5lbs a week using it.

gointothewoods · 01/07/2014 19:05

I did this diet before a v important occasion and lost about 10lb (so about 5kg) in a week. Yes, I put it back on again but it took a couple of months.

margaritasbythesea · 01/07/2014 19:34

Why fybogel?

capet · 01/07/2014 19:52

Fybogel for the constipation. Very little fibre on that kind of diet

GingerRodgers · 01/07/2014 19:54

Hopefully, how long did you do it for and what kind of protein?

ThisBitchIsResting · 01/07/2014 20:11

Yes constipation unavoidable if you're hardcore at high protein. I don't eat brekkie but had nuts and a boiled egg mid morning, a packet of ham / Parma ham / cooked chicken bits for lunch and some Greek yoghurt - maybe a little packet of chipolatas and a hunk of cheese in the afternoon, and meat and lightweight veg (no potatoes) for dinner. Keep fridge stocked with lots of cooked meats and boiled eggs, and stock up on nuts and cheese. Snack on only high protein stuff in the evenings. Dropped the 2 stone I was holding on to post pregnancy in a couple of months, no more than that. Lots of water though and 2 Fybogel sachets a day mixed with water. You can buy them in Tesco. Natural fibre, it keeps everything moving. If you add more veg to your diet it's infinitely healthier and has vitamins etc too, but as long as your fibre intake is enough to prevent the meat spending ages and ages in your tummy, it's not too unhealthy as a short / medium term diet.

margaritasbythesea · 01/07/2014 20:41

That James Duncan diet is very tempting. A stone in a week woud be a great motivator!

Hopefully · 01/07/2014 21:24

Maybe a month ginger? I lost around a stone, went from a good 16 to a large 12/small 14.

GingerRodgers · 01/07/2014 21:58

Thanks Thanks

nomoreminibreaks · 04/07/2014 17:16

I've lost 16lbs in 6 weeks on weight watchers - the new 'simple start'/'filling & healthy' plan. Doesn't feel like I'm on a diet, I'm never hungry and yet I'm finding the size 12 jeans I've always dreamt of are getting baggy. I'm breastfeeding so have a bigger appetite than usual and it suits me fine. BTW I haven't got loads and loads to lose, I started within the healthy BMI range.

margaritasbythesea · 04/07/2014 17:51

Could you give me an example of a day of that?

nomoreminibreaks · 04/07/2014 19:32

There's a list of foods you can have for 'free' eg brown rice, shredded wheat, certain breads and wraps, whole wheat pasta/cous cous etc, lean meats (under 5% fat), fruit & veg and skimmed milk/fat free yoghurt. Then you have 49 pro points a week to use as you like for extra treats (I tend to save mine for eating out). A typical day for me (I'm breastfeeding so have a big appetite!) is:

Porridge for breakfast with agave syrup, I snack on fruit, lunch is generally last night's leftovers or a sandwich with chicken and salad, more snacks of bite size shredded wheat with more agave syrup or a little sandwich with warburtons brown sandwich thins. Dinner is chilli made with extra lean mince and brown rice/bolognese made with lean pork and whole wheat pasta/a salmon tray bake with new potatoes and veg/prawn stir fry. I don't starve or suffer but the results have been brilliant!

margaritasbythesea · 05/07/2014 08:06

That sounds like more than I eat now! Is it online? Or do you have to have a local group?

Still might do that crash diet, (if i was convinced I wouldn't eat the children in a fit of hunger induced madness....)

frogmore6 · 05/07/2014 23:07

Cut out sugar,no fruit, no salt and carbs. Eat steamed fish and vegetables, and poached eggs. Drink lots of water.
Go buy Twentyfirst century Rhubarb Complex (natural detox herb).
If you don't lose weight by following the above, then I'm an alien!

BuzzardBird · 06/07/2014 07:17

I've lost a whopping 15lbs in 2 weeks by cutting out bread/pasta/carby stuff and replacing milk with coconut milk in my 100 cups of tea habit. Weirdly enough, no constipation, quite the opposite for some reason?

NecesitoDormir · 06/07/2014 07:36

Coconut milk is a laxative. That'll be why buzzardbird

500smiles · 06/07/2014 09:11

Lurking with interest.

Atkins is my go-to shift weight solution. Boring but works while you stick to it.

AuntieStella · 06/07/2014 09:26

Also lurking!

I've just realised the number of weeks until we go on holiday, and how much better and more energetic I would feel if I managed to lose 2-3 lbs per week until then (I have teens who are already booking family sporty things).

BuzzardBird · 06/07/2014 09:42

Thank you dormir I didn't realise that. Oh well, better than the other way around, might even be contributing to the rapid weight loss.
