Currently using Gardenia.

Viviennemary · 22/06/2014 21:56

Chanel 18 is totally out of this world. I got it last year as a present after thinking gosh can I ask for this much to be spent on perfume. I decided I could. Grin. Also a sample of Bois des Isles which is lovely too.

ScooseIsLoose · 22/06/2014 21:58

allure then allure sensuelle, I have coco mademoiselle and chance too but allure is my firm favourite Grin

turdfairynomore · 22/06/2014 22:06

Cristalle is my summer perfume. (Tom ford black orchid is for winter

polyhymnia · 22/06/2014 22:07

Hmm depends on your date really - my DH hates perfume.

Luckily only like very subtle and/ or very fresh smells myself so when we met (long ago and at work ) would not have been wearing any of the main Chanels - probably was O de Lancome.

Btw as a non Chanel fan in general have to say Jersey is beautifully subtle.

selee · 22/06/2014 22:10

Thecatfromjapan. No special date per se but have recently dieted and lost weight and feeling a bit transformed, hence the new perfume! Want to go on some dates with my husband and feel a bit special!

Thanks everyone for your wonderful answers, I'm loving reading through them x

How lovely - I hope you find a wonderful perfume and have a great time on your dates. Smile

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 22/06/2014 22:15

Jersey and Egoïste (for men). Both are luscious.

Northernexile · 22/06/2014 22:16

Chance Eau Fraiche.

OscarWinningActress · 22/06/2014 22:17

Coco Mademoiselle.

polyhymnia · 22/06/2014 22:20

If your date is your husband then I guess you'll know his general tastes in perfume - flowery, fresh etc -,and be able to pick a Chanel one to fit.

Solo · 22/06/2014 22:36

Coco.

TheStorySoFar · 22/06/2014 22:46

Coco…love love love

bettykt · 22/06/2014 22:47

Christalle for summer

No.19 for winter

No.5 for going out and if I was going on a date.

Fideliney · 22/06/2014 22:53

How much money in proper market research fees you saving here OP?

Or are you you just deeply peculiar?

Fideliney · 22/06/2014 22:55

Or maybe a journo

Fideliney · 22/06/2014 22:58

Probably somewhere inbetween. Advertorial? Website feature? Chanel magazine?

botanicbaby · 22/06/2014 23:02

surprised at how many people are saying Cristalle. I love the scent of it from the bottle but on me it is terrible. It is my SILs one and only fragrance and smells gorgeously fresh and grassy on here.

my MIL is in her 80s and has always bathed in No.5 bubble bath, she has the soap and the perfume too. Her bathroom smells glorious. It is way too flowery and sweet on me but it really suits her.

I have always been a Coco fan but must admit in last 5 years or so, only tend to wear it for evenings. Toyed around with Coco Mademoiselle and more recently have become a Chance fanatic. I got the eau fraiche one (I'd asked for Chance as a pressie although I warmed to the fraiche one, just as well really Grin). Not so keen on the tendre Chance.

Other SIL wears Allure, its too sweet for me but lovely on her.

Tried some of the 'limited edition' expensive ones in a big dept store think it was called Beige but wasn't as impressed with those, not that I can afford them anyway!

Fideliney · 22/06/2014 23:08

No. It's this thread, isn't it? Sledgehammer viral marketing?

You're shit at it BTW.

divingoffthebalcony · 22/06/2014 23:32

Can't afford it though!

selee · 22/06/2014 23:40

Fideliney · 22/06/2014 23:44

Normal? I wouldn't say so.

Ludways · 22/06/2014 23:49

No. 5, used to wear it at uni and it invokes happy feelings, lol

selee · 22/06/2014 23:51

So many responses! Will have a look in the shops this week and see if I can get some testers. I've not heard of no18 or 22 until today, I've certainly never seen them so will ask.
