But I think I'd like to. I live in an area where there are lots of Asian beauty salons which do threading. I have thick eyebrows and pluck them everyday to keep them under control.

What happens when you go for eyebrow threading? How often do you have it done?

A lady will sit you down in a chair, and ask you to pull your eyebrows taught (she will show you how). Then she just gets on and threads them! And might try to persuade you to get your tache done also lol. It's quite painful but you do get used to the pain, and the the results are fab. How often depends on your brows, every 2 weeks? At £5 and under for threading it's not pricey at all.

I have really thick brows (started getting them waxed at 10 and 20 years later I'm still waiting on them "eventually not growing in so thick" )

Results are great, so much better than waxing but I agree prob need done about every 2 weeks

I am a total convert to this after switching from waxing recently. It's very quick (10mins tops), not overly painful (bit less so than waxing) and no danger of overdoing it, really.

I have eyebrows like forests and only need mine done every 6 weeks!

They're very quick at it, won't take long at all. Just tell them you don't want them too thin when you get it done. They might ask if you want a tidy up or a shape. They remove more hair with shaping.

Never ever ever EVER again! I thought I was going to be sick as it was so painful! The results were lovely. But it wasn't worth it!!!

Now I do have fairly non existent blond eyebrows but I found it fairly pain free, loads better than plucking. It feels like a vibrating drum or something it's that quick

My only advice is be aware it will make the skin quite red and you'll look a bit like a badly made-up clown afterwards. But I do think it's worth doing.

I get mine done roughly every six weeks, get them tinted at the same time, both treatments for £9, bargain! It's a bit ouchy, they're pulling hair out obviously, feels like really fast plucking, but over in minutes and looks cracking!

I think this will be true for me as well, I've been plucking since age 11

It hurts and makes your eyes leak...ok it makes you cry. But results are really very good. It is cheap too.

I think it depends on the person doing it as to how painful it is, for me it's ranged from not painful at all to painful Don't think it lasts as long as waxing.

Go for it! Not particularly painful though I find the thread does make a satisfying ripping sound! Gives a lovely neat finish.

I don't find it painful at all, but last time I went there was a woman crying whilst having it done. I guess it just depends on how much pain you can handle. If you don't want too much off just tell them. It only lasts about 2-5mins depending on how thick your brows are and how much you're having off.

I had my entire face threaded once!

I used to get my eyebrows done regularly in an Asian hairdressers. I didn't find it too painful, strange sensation when all the hairs fall on your face.

You get a really strong definition and an enviable arch. Even though my eyebrows are quite thin, it makes them look thicker somehow, and I feel more confident about using a brow pencil.

I've been having mine done for years. It smarts a bit but doesn't hurt. Gives a lovely shape that I can keep on top of with the tweezers for a few weeks.

If she asks if you want your 'tache done just say no. The most painful thing I've ever experienced, and whilst it got rid of my very fine, blonde moustache it left me with some enormous, much more visible, spots. The deep kind that take weeks and weeks to go.

Around your eyebrows will be red and a bit sore for the next 10 minutes or so afterwards, if they offer to put cream on it like they do at my salon definitely take it!

I get mine done in our shopping centre on a stand with two women. One of hem does it so it doesn't hurt at all. If the other one is there instead I just walk on by.... Never again with her!

Totally dependent on who does it if it hurts or not. Looks great though.

Used to have it done. Doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable. But have vowed 'never again'. Thin, over-styled eyebrows are so not my bag anymore. Channelling Cara Delevigne! Or just a more youthful, modern look...

Sudocremegg that's interesting about the spots. I got some on one side of my chin after threading. I didn't out the 2 things together but now I'm starting to wonder.

I knew she was doing my brows, I had my eyes closed and she just started on my face. I have very fine blond hair on my face, so as she'd started, she had to finish.

Yes the spots are raised due to irritation by pulling the hairs out. Almost like blisters. Avoid squeezing them and try and cool/close the pores as soon as you can.
