Toenail varnish

Having let my feet out for the first time this year, I am toying with the idea of toenail varnish. I don't normally wear nail varnish.

Ought the varnish match what I'm wearing, or can I leave the same colour on for several days?

Well, I always wear nail varnish, often in bright colours and have never has a fungal nail infection.

Naked toe nails are just, well...naked.

Chanel Rouge Noir - can't go wrong

I can't keep varnish on my useless short, thin, bendy finger nails, so I like painting my toes.

plasticbanana · 15/06/2014 08:13

bonzo how do pale colours reduce the chances of fungal nail infection?

Romcom · 15/06/2014 08:23

Always painted! Usually red or pink. Or sometimes minx-ed in the summer.
I've never had bare nails since a teen and never had any nail infections.

She says darker polish blocks out more light, and fungus thrives better in the dark. Polish of any colour can also trap moisture especially if the nail is not in great condition (pitted or ragged) which also encourages fungus.

Oh good, a chance to show off my feet (the only part of my body I don't have a complex about)
I wear nail polish from about May till October.

i've never had a fungal infection. vary my colours but wearing Nails Inc bright pink shade at the moment. I try to use foot cream everyday.

I think a pedicure to start you off helps a great deal and feet do need attention.

Mine are navy blue. I've got into the habit of having a pedicure every two weeks. Last week they were bright pink, time before a darker pink, purple, red, dark red. I quite like the navy blue but will go coral next time.

I had my toenails shellaced yesterday, I have on a very glittery pale pink, looks lovely (well i think so!)

Ememem84 · 15/06/2014 14:07

Mine need redoing. But I usually go for dark colours - purples dark reds, occasionally black with a bit of sparkle.

They are blue at present. To match my bikini when we went on holiday....
