Toenail varnish

Having let my feet out for the first time this year, I am toying with the idea of toenail varnish. I don't normally wear nail varnish.

Ought the varnish match what I'm wearing, or can I leave the same colour on for several days?

My toes...some tidying required since I just daubed it on.

Thought I'd try out a couple. Lilac and metallic turquoise. The lilac doesn't look quite so bruise-like in RL!

Opinions?

Nope, changed my mind, I don't like either of them. The turquoise is to in-yer-face, the lilac too discreet.

Pale pinks/peaches/nudes are nice.
Might wear a clear red in high summer.
Don't like blues/purples - to me it looks like the toenail is ill?

Each to their own though

I only have a few colours

A dark burgundy
Red (which is a little bright for my taste)
A champagne (pinkish brown)
A bronzey orange colour

My fav is the burgundy, but I save it for pedicures cause I find it a bit difficult to apply

I like the turquoise!

i prefer the left one, the bronzey one.

I'm currently sporting that metallic turquoise one. It looks really good and 3 coats covers my uneven surfaces and general mankiness.

Bronzey one is lovely.

I tried Damson Gelly Paint by Barry M on my toes this week, different colour but the formula is a bugger, v gloppy.

Purples can look nice too, red always a fail safe good bet. If you're brave Essie Candy Apple is nice pale green or i love orange, bright though. A brand I think Nails inc did Ibiza Orange.

Definitely go for a pedicure! If you're getting your feet out for sandals it will make them look so much nicer.

I always paint my toenails, usually bright red but this time I've gone for a neutral Opi polish called Barefoot in Barcelona. It's very pretty.

I've got a coral colour on at the moment. Had a pedicure in May and it has lasted really well.

May take it off today or find similar colour and paint over.

feel tempted to go and have another pedicure. My feet felt fantastic.

I'm toe-tally biased. I had that exact Rimmel blue or alternate blue and gold all last summer.

This year I have No7 purple DH gave me.

What do you think of this?

I couldn't be bothered with the nail varnish remover again (I loathe the smell) so I used both shades.

Makes me feel about 12yo again!

What colour is it, Squeegle? I like metallic darks, not so keen on flat darks (also make me feel 12 again, but not in a good way).

The one I am wearing is on the right - out of the blue. My favourite is on the left. Sky high. But it's run out

They're not metallic, but when I do it right they're lovely and shines!

It's the same Rimmel range as yours. 819 Green With Envy.

I have my toes done every three weeks. I often have turquoise or navy. Never red or browny shades. The Jessica range is what my therapist uses. Bird of Paradise is a lovely shade and last time I had a more pastel mauvey colour. This time I have a brightish pink but overlaid with sprinkles. And gems. Never knowingly underpainted.

I wear supermodel by Leighton Denny in the summer, lovely neutral / goes with anything colour.

I have bright pink just now. Really, really pink!

I have worn toe varnish since I was about 14 and have never had bare nails since!

My friend is a chiropodist. She says toe nail varnish for special occasions, and pale colours only. To reduce the chances of a fungal nail infection. So I have a nice pale mint green, baby blue and lilac (all BarryM). Often wear them all at the same time.
