Which do you prefer and which one do you use?

I use tinted moisturiser clinique moisture surge
Also dior nude skin

suze28 · 31/05/2014 01:31

I found Clinique moisture surge tinted moisturiser too chalky looking but love their CC cream and use that now.

citygirl1961 · 31/05/2014 01:32

I love the Clinique one, also like their lipsticks by find it a bit expensive now, it does last a long time though so may be worth the layout initially.

Clinique cc made me look like a cadaver, and that was one they recommended
Clinique do refunds if you keep receipt,i returned it
Foundations are much improved if you test what suits yiu

suze28 · 31/05/2014 01:35

I'd use a light coverage foundation instead of CC cream but wouldn't know which to go for. I don't have skin that needs colour correcting but like it due to the texture and natural coverage look it gives.

scottishmummy · 31/05/2014 01:39

Apparently bourjois health glow is good,my friend liked it

scottishmummy · 31/05/2014 01:46

I also use lancome air de teint.pricy but v light

suze28 · 31/05/2014 02:04

I used to use Lancome teint idole foundation years ago but find shade 03 too yellow for my skin now. I've also turned into a big Clinique fan so tend to stick with their products.

FluffyDucky · 31/05/2014 07:54

I prefer a foundation, I don't tend to like to texture or colour of tinted moisturiser. Although recently I have had exma on my face (yuk) so I've been making my own tinted moisturiser with one of my foundations.

GrannyOnTheSchoolRun · 31/05/2014 09:09

Ive started using Touche Eclat foundation. For me its the perfect mix of tinted moisturiser and foundation.

I also like one by LaPrairie but Ive forgotten the name for now.

chanie44 · 31/05/2014 10:15

I use a tinted moisturiser (clinique). I I recently went for a consultation at clinique for a foundation and whilst the colour was right, it wasn't 'me'. I think it was the undertones.

She said I could build up the tinted moisturiser for more coverage.

suze28 · 31/05/2014 10:47

I keep meaning to get colour matched for the Touche Eclat foundation but the counter in my local Debs never seems to have an assistant there when I visit.

francesthebadger · 31/05/2014 13:35

Touche Eclat works for me too. Have tried Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser which loads of people rave about, but it's too sheer for me. I like the Boots Organics BB cream much better and it's bargainous.

coffeeinbed · 31/05/2014 13:37

Chantecaille tinted moisturiser for me.

I have used Bourjous Healthy Mix Serum in the past, but TM is so much better for me.

MrsCripps · 31/05/2014 13:46

I use Clinique Stay Matt foundation in the winter/autumn and change to the Clinique CC cream in spring/summer - only need a tiny bit and it looks lovely and glowy .

citygirl1961 · 31/05/2014 13:50

Those of you who use foundation do you still use it in the summer when its hot and your colour changes?

OP posts:
DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/05/2014 17:19

Just discovered no 7 stay perfect-very impressed.

coffeeinbed · 31/05/2014 17:40

That's why I changed to tinted moisturiser - foundation felt and looked wrong in the summer.

And then I never went back. Just switch shades of TM.

GrannyOnTheSchoolRun · 31/05/2014 18:18

I live in a very hot country and really only started to enjoy wearing makeup when I started wearing the Touche Eclat foundation. Prior to that everything just seemed to slide of my face.

The La Prairie one I mentioned is the Skin Caviar Concealer and Foundation. I know nothing about the magic properties its supposed to have because that aspect of things doesn't interest me at all. It was used on me by the make up artist on my daughters wedding day and I knew it was right for me. I use this at night and the Touche Eclat during the day.

merlotguzzler · 31/05/2014 19:05

I use Clinique Even Better. It feels very moisturising, but at the same time has good coverage. Doesn't last as long as I'd like, but it takes 10 seconds to reapply and you only need a tiny bit anyway.

Never got on with tinted moisturisers. Don't usually like the colour and texture.

MrsCripps · 31/05/2014 19:39

The Clinique Stay Matt is very similar merlot and lasts but without feeling "masky"

I find tinted moisturisers feel sticky but I adore the CC cream

merlotguzzler · 31/05/2014 20:08

Hmmm but I'm presuming it doesn't have that dewy look. That's what I like about Even Better.

MrsCripps · 31/05/2014 20:23

The Stay Matt is dewy - it has reflectors but it doesn't budge whatever the conditions .

suze28 · 31/05/2014 21:09

I have this longing for a light, dewy flawless look to my complexion which I like to think the CC cream does. Disclaimer - it probably doesn't.

magichandles · 31/05/2014 21:13

I use foundation in the winter/ spring/ autumn (was using Laura Mercier crème, but just bankrupted myself buying the Chantecaille one today) and switch to tinted moisturiser when it gets over about 20 (currently Liz Earle which I really like).

I'm also using Clinique City Block underneath for the SPF underneath as well (I'm trying to clear up some pigmentation).
