Oh go on then Grin

Please find attached one thread for discussing your tattoos.

Yes, we know there are plenty of people who don't like them, but this is a nice thread for sharing our body art, not defending our choices. So please try to play nice.

this is my favourite, I have 6 in total and thinking about getting a tree to join the one of my left arm to the one on my right shoulder.

I have 4. One on my left arm in colour that I love. One on both of my calves and a hand done (Indian ink and a needle) on my wrist that I did when I was younger.

I am planning an extension to my arm on that will end up taking up most of my left shoulder/back and I want about 3 more on top of that. I want a small one behind my ear.

autumnsmum · 24/05/2014 13:42

Dita I love that flamingoe

autumnsmum · 24/05/2014 14:32

Terrible pic of my other arm

Dita your flamingo is brilliant.

SorrelForbes · 24/05/2014 14:42

I have three (but two are sort of joined together): an Art Nouveau flower design on my lower stomach (it needs re-colouring but I never seem to get round to it) and a dancer in silhouette on top of a row of musical notes on the bottom of my arse cheek.

SummerRain · 24/05/2014 14:43

I love those autumn, the colours are fab. They're the sort of colours I had always pictured for my arms, hence why I'm dithering about b&w for the owl.

Think I've decided what I want actually, an owl with a sugar skull embedded in it in beautiful bright colours.

autumnsmum · 24/05/2014 14:48

Summer that sounds a brilliant idea

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 24/05/2014 14:48

noarmani your back piece is beautiful. I love it.

I have 3 small ones. One ankle rose that i got at 15, one is my eldest's initial in my wrist which i got at 21 and one is 3 tiny coloured hearts on my heel which represents me and my 2 dcs.

Have more planned in my head but need to plan the method of getting the money to pay for them Grin

bouncinbean · 24/05/2014 14:50

Some truly beautiful ones you all have...

I only have the one and it's quite simple, am so happy with it. It's about 4 inches wide and sits between my shoulder blades.

God, the photos on here are gorgeous!

I don't have any. The plan was to get one for my 40th last November but I didn't in the end. Want on to celebrate me moving on (from ex who dumped me after 19 years and 3 kids) a year ago and starting new career and life with kids by the sea.

Any ideas what I could get? Want to start small I think. Not great with pain but managed 3 natural births with nothing but gas and air (not by choice - I'm not bragging, there was no time for anything else!).

Kids names? DOBs? I do like daisies and tulips, owls (the ones upthread are stunning), etc. What looks tacky and crap?

Oh, where to start!

MultipleMama · 24/05/2014 15:51

Okay I've decided I'm going to get this done but with a little rocket looking like it's circling around Pluto heading back to Earth. Gunna have it in colour but no idea where to have it done! :)

MikeLitoris · 24/05/2014 16:32

summer I like this one. I've been looking at sugar skulls but haven't seen one I love enough to have.

SummerRain · 24/05/2014 17:56

Mike, that one is fab. My current favourite is this but with slightly more vivid colouring.

I've shown the pic before, but this is my third planned one...

And the one on my wrist will be something like these two snakes...

I have a few. this could out me but meh

top of the neck is my dd's name in elvish
below that is vines and butterflies at a slight angle down my spine
below that is a larger butterfly with vines either side and has 'my friend, my heart' written underneath it in french
then I have, in elvish, the song lyric 'repression says depravity's cute'
under that is a black swirly line piece tramp stamp

Meow75 · 02/06/2014 16:48

Third time lucky maybe.

I have 4 tattoos. My first, right shoulder was done in about 2003/4 and is a gecko.
Second, about a year later, a St. George Cross on my left ankle.
Third, and my most important, a bracelet on my right wrist, commemorating DH's survival of a DVT which became a pulmonary embolism and nearly killed him in August 2009. I had the ink done two years later.
Finally, November 1st and December 1st 2013, I had a reproduction of the London2012 GamesMaker badge accompanied by Olympic Rings and Paralympic logo, to mark being a GamesMaker, which I LOVED!!!

The image is the inside of my wrist. I didn't want names there, so I chose our respective astrological symbols, even though we both know it's guff!!

Ooh just spotted this thread.

I've got one to make you all feel ill. I did this in one sitting!

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 27/06/2014 19:06

That is gorgeous.

I've found a better picture for my snakes, for my tattoo woman to design something based on...

I do then want a lace type pattern on my leg (like the second pic), so thought i could incorporate the snakes and heart into that.

Shes looking forward to doing my phoenix :)
