I've had a fabulous day at the war museum yawn the joy of tanks, bombs and fighter jets.

Ds2 kept asking where the dinosaurs were.
He's obsessed with Andy's dinosaur adventures on cbeebies not postman pat thank god and I think he was expecting a museum like on the tv.

Get well soon Shop

Drywhiteplease · 28/05/2014 16:34

Dec you get mum of the day award!!
Why do I get such chatty workmen Hmm .....think I should cut down on the tea making Grin no builder bum but it's pouring Very flirty scaffolders "guess how old I am?", " you don't souldn't like you're from London" did you go to Eton?Grin, " you got teenagers!!!!!!" BUT I kept my wits about me when they said their boss didn't have a clue about scaffolding, "what's he charging you for this then?"....." A price I'm happy to pay" ..... HAHA, oh yes!
Zero fashion news obv

Drywhiteplease · 28/05/2014 16:38

Oh and sHop hope man flu goes away soon....you poor thing.x

libertychick · 28/05/2014 17:15

Well done Dry on your builder management.

Hope you feel better soon Shop. That is a fair old price for sunnies Marsha although they are gorgeous...lots of sunnies go to half price in the sales.

Good work on Postman Pat Decam - I win bad mother award - I have never taken DD to the cinema Shock.

Fashion news - I'm wore a November outfit today! J Brand crofts, navy Whistles merino sweater, Boden parka and grey leather converse - we were out on a boat trip on the Norfolk Broads and it was all needed! Come on the Gods of weather - it's almost June! I want to wear a dress

shopafrolic · 28/05/2014 17:18

I've never taken DS to the cinema either Liberty - although I was considering Postman Pat - any good for a 3yo boy Decam? But he has been to see the Gruffalo's Child and Stickman at the theatre (which believe it or not cost less than cinema tickets would have!
I'm sick of wearing vests and sweatshirts - so cold! Bring on the summer now please....

Oh god I know, I looked in the wardrobe for a coat and then put back on the marant etoile posh cardigan from last year. No way!

Liberty true, I will show dh. They are really oversized, I suspect he'll tell me I look like a bug.

Belt to skinny, glasses to big - like Disney clothing.

I haven't been to the cinema for about 8 years, still.

MarshaBrady · 28/05/2014 17:26

Decam and Dry you made me chuckle, which is pretty good going as my head is fuddled from work, rain and half term.

Decameron · 28/05/2014 17:53

The 3yo liked it (although she doesn't watch it normally, she's more of a Doc McStuffins/Sofia the First fan), I'd say your DS would enjoy it, Shop. The sophisticated 6yo looked a bit bored and said it's no Rio! Between parking, snacks and tickets it cost me £40. Gah.

Hope you are having a great break, Liberty.

QueenCadbury · 28/05/2014 19:31

Sorry dec I think the award still belongs to me for moshi monsters at the cinema at Christmas Grin. It is ridiculous how much it costs though isn't it. Luckily we have a small old fashioned cinema local to us so it's only about £3 per ticket. If they want pick and mix they buy their own otherwise they take a treat from home .

Spent the day on the beach in fleece and waterproof Grin. Had the most delicious wild mushrooms and poach egg on toast for lunch at a cafe. Peppa pig tomorrow!!!

Saw this and thought of One

Oh no marsha is our belt too skinny?

The This Works leg miracle arrived today and my first impressions are good. I just quickly slapped it on one stubbly leg and it did take the deathly white colour away without making me look like an Oompa Loompa.

I will try again this weekend after defuzzing and exfoliating my legs.

Hope you feel better shop!

shopafrolic · 28/05/2014 19:51

Ooo I didn't realise it had colour in it Linus? I thought it was a moisturiser? Is is fake tan? Leg make up? Confused

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 28/05/2014 19:53

actually "Alvin and the chipmunks 2" was the most torturous hour and a half I've spent in the cinema a few years ago
How you feeling Shop?
"Legally Blonde" on Amazon prime with DD tonight.

shopafrolic · 28/05/2014 19:54

Head full of snot Dry - très glam

LinusDKD · 28/05/2014 19:57

I think it's a moisturiser/leg make-up hybrid.

It is a light brown colour when it comes out of the pump and then you just rub it in like a moisturiser. It is also supposed to help with skin imperfections as it has arnica and Vitamins A and C in it.

As my legs are so pale maybe the colour element is a bit more visible than on darker complexions or people with tanned legs.

I think you can also use it elsewhere on the body and I think it washes off.

MarshaBrady · 28/05/2014 20:06

Linus I am awaiting your verdict! I might just do what you do Grin

shopafrolic · 28/05/2014 20:06

Sounds good Linus

LinusDKD · 28/05/2014 20:20

No marsha! Too much pressure!

santamarianovella · 28/05/2014 20:31

shop hope you are better,

I've never taken dd to cinema too,I'm really too scared to try! I know she will devour all the popcorn before the movie starts, and will get bored and start standing on her seat,or walk around.
is the post man pat movie short decam? Dd likes firman Sam,maybe she will enjoy this one,DSS loved postman pat when he was younger but I don't think he would agree to see it now, Hmm

queen I thought you went there already Grin ,best of luck!
In other news ,my sexy paris heels are here Smile ,its love I tell you,the pink colour is so beautiful, was worried it would be brighter, but its a very powdery pink,
Will wear them tomorrow for dinner with dh, and maybe again on Sunday for dmil birthday,
But the rockstuds are still not dispatched yet Angry

Decameron · 28/05/2014 23:04

It's 117 long minutes, Santa ! DD2 is actually not yet 3 but I have been taking her since she was 2.5 as DD1 loves the movies.

I've used This Works leg miracle also the face version, it is good stuff.

Enjoy PP World, Queen!

LinusDKD · 29/05/2014 06:55

Yay! This morning my scales showed a 5 as the first digit for the first time since I got married.

Granted, it is after yesterday's fast day and by tomorrow it will be a 6 again, but I am pleased nevertheless.

Public holiday here today so our belt won't be delivered today marsha.

I have never taken the DC to the cinema as DS can hardly sit through a film at home, let alone in a dark noisy place where you have to sit still for a long time.

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2014 07:15

Looking grey and miserable again I can't believe I'm contemplating opaques, a dress, shoe boots and my camel coat for dinner and theatre this evening Hmm
Linus well done on the weight loss you're coming to the MU aren't you?
santa I wish you were, would have loved to have met you and Grumpy too has it all kicked off in racing world? Are you at the Derby? What you wearing?
Shop hope you're feeling better today Smile
The annoying thing about having workmen during school holidays is that you have to get up early Hmm BUT the upside is you get a lot done and a bigger house at the end Grin

LinusDKD · 29/05/2014 10:03

love this leather jacket just because of the colour. Shame I'm not a leather jacket kinda gal.

dry still haven't looked at flights. Blush

LinusDKD · 29/05/2014 10:05
