Longtime user of Maybelline Great Lash here, but it's just not working for me any more. Any thoughts? Preferably something I can get in Boots/Superdrug.

Max factor clump defy in the purple tube or 2000 calorie by them is also good.

DaftSkunk · 03/05/2014 06:34

Soap and glory thick and fast is good.

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/05/2014 07:57

maxfactor masterpiece mascara love it!

mysteryfairy · 03/05/2014 09:00

Do you mean greater than £10? I like Lancôme hypnose if so

treaclesoda · 03/05/2014 10:36

Boots natural collection. Only about £2 and it's amazing.

JohnCusacksWife · 03/05/2014 11:24

Why does it have to mer than £10? I love Max Factor 2000 Calorie - have used it for years and always come back to it if I'm tempted to try something new. Think it's about £8. The only other one I like is Mally mascara but think its only available in the UK on QVC.

JohnCusacksWife · 03/05/2014 11:25

to be more than

Plateofcrumbs · 03/05/2014 11:29

I presume OP meant < rather than > Smile. L'oreal lash architect is my current favourite.

Skinheadmermaid · 03/05/2014 12:24

Miss manga by l'oreal. I loves it. Its £8 i think.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/05/2014 12:30

I bought 2 Soap and Glory mascaras (after them being recommended on here Grin )

The one in the gold tube is lovely, the other one (silver tube Thick & Fast) has a huge brush.

I only buy sealed mascaras, never ones that are on display that someone could open and prod at.

Anyone tried the No7 in the red glittery tube?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/05/2014 12:31

Oooh yes Mally mascara is brilliant (QVC)

MyrtleDove · 03/05/2014 13:44

Sorry to hijack but can anyone recommend one with a proper bristle brush? Rubber brushes eg Max Factor Masterpiece are rubbish on my lashes. I think Max Factor 2000 Calorie does...?

Aque1ven · 03/05/2014 14:46

Yes, Max Factor 2000 Calories does have a bristle brush, brilliant stuff.

MintyChops · 03/05/2014 14:47

Max Factor Masterpiece is great!

MyrtleDove · 03/05/2014 14:56

Oh and just to contradict myself, Avon Supershock Max (green/teal tube) has rubber bristles but chunky, almost conical ones and is really good. £10 but often on offer.

bishboschone · 03/05/2014 15:01

The cheap range in boots. can't remember it's name but it's £2 and brilliant . I've tried loads of expensive ones. I use this as my every day one .

thisonehasalittlecar · 03/05/2014 22:39

Of course I meant

I used to love that maybelline great lash too but then found it started drying too quickly on my lashes and getting a bit clumpy.

another vote for max factor's 2000 calorie around 7.99 in boots (I far prefer the bristle brushes, can't seem to get on with the plastic ones), I always used to buy the straight brush one but as boots do a 3 for price of 2 (and I always like to have stocks of this mascara in case they ever change it) I thought I'd try the curved brush for a change and I love it. find it easier to apply without smudging.

ThisBitchIsResting · 03/05/2014 23:01

Another vote for Max Factor 2000 calorie. Magic stuff - every other mascara gives me panda eyes.

SirChenjin · 03/05/2014 23:03

Max Factor 2000 calorie (following a MN recommendation). Bloody brilliant stuff - better than many of the ones I've had costing ££££s

Dogmatix34 · 03/05/2014 23:04

Max factor 200 calorie for me too although I quite like Rimmel false lash effect

Dogmatix34 · 03/05/2014 23:04

2000 calorie rather, I put it on a diet!

Emus · 03/05/2014 23:09

Yes I have 70 (I too was tempted by the look). Sadly it's rubbish. I asked before I bought it what was good about it and was told it won't clump. Sadly that's not true, it clumped almost immediately and is really thick and unnatural. Definitely won't buy it again!

bishboschone · 04/05/2014 08:16

I'm also a bjg fan of max factor 2000 calorie but I do think the cheap one I recommend is nearly as good and it doesn't clump . I use max factor for evenings out as I have long eye lashes and I can look a bit overdone in the day with it. I think the range I meant is something collection.. anyway its all cheap bit don't let that put you off -

MelonKim · 04/05/2014 08:20

i just dallied with cheap masacra, I have hot footed it back to Hypnose

tis truly a false economy
