Belinda. As this is your blog thread I do think you should feel able to mention* when you've updated. :)

*maybe in interpretative dance?

Littlepinkpear · 10/05/2014 13:02

Belinda - these any good?

SO agree with UNiqlo shirt - plus nice and long. That with my Gap skinny black trews is the outfit I choose for comfort at work

MissMarjoribanks · 10/05/2014 14:17

Got these from Jones. V comfy and much nicer than they look on the website. I think they really will go with everything and a better investment than the Kendras for a limited wardrobe.

EduardoBarcelona · 10/05/2014 14:43

they are nice - are they really comfy though?

EduardoBarcelona · 10/05/2014 14:44

look they do them in black too
here

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/05/2014 15:14

I took the Kendras back this morning. :( :( :(
Wore them around the house last night and they really pinched. Am really disappointed.

So my shoe quest begins again.

Can I ask a non work question? Am going out tonight to a 'house' party, casual occasion. Weather is warm but wet. I have nice jeans and heeled ankle boots, but what kind of top?

MissMarjoribanks · 10/05/2014 16:39

Really comfy Eduardo. I tried them on as a bit of a chance, really liked them but was going to admire then put back. They were so surprisingly comfy I decided to buy them.

The black ones aren't as nice as the website photo as the shoes are more matte than they look on there. Conversely the taupe are nicer. Going to try and link a photo.

will you need a jacket remus?
start with coat and shoes and work backwards

MissMarjoribanks · 10/05/2014 16:42

Ooh that worked. Fab.

Remus for something like tonight I would always go with a top with sleeves of whatever length you think you'll be warm enough in. Or sleeveless and blazer.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 10/05/2014 19:48

Smile thanks, Eduardo.

I had apple mojitos last night. I don't feel that fresh right now. I look like a blood hound, too.

remus - have fun! I often wear a silk shirt, w some buttons undone like Simon Cowell

EduardoBarcelona · 10/05/2014 23:06

I went out in primark £7 black skinnies new look quality polyester "utility" shirt in sheet black and river island ejevtic blue shoes. Plus A HUGE BLOODY COAT.

LaTrucha · 11/05/2014 07:38

25% off women's and men's online at GAP today and tomorrow with MOREGAP

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 11/05/2014 07:44

Snap LaTrucha! Was coming to to say that, too! Well done, by the way, on the Matalan discoveries!

Eduardo - I love black with just another colour pop - very striking. And it's still coats for me, too.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 11/05/2014 09:18

Burberry for less: www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?searchTerm=Broderie&storeId=12552&productId=15233722&urlRequestType=Base&categoryId=&langId=-1&productIdentifier=product&catalogId=33053 and DPFW25 gets you 25% off and free delivery. I find, though that DP has only the odd gem and you have to go in store if you want to be sure of what's good (website has v flattering photos)

EduardoBarcelona · 11/05/2014 10:19

Ooh. Gap. Well done truch

LaTrucha · 11/05/2014 10:57

Baukjen have up to 40% off shoes today, including some nice pumps also do glittery ones. And Ash Jalouse reduced Wink

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 11/05/2014 11:50

Ooh I will add Baukjen to my list of places to look, thank you.

Was thinking - was it pink pear who said it's only the natural fibres eg silk, wool, cotton, cashmere etc that survives her wardrobe culls? Me too. I like how viscose feels, but some of mine has worn out. So, I will continue to selectively buy it (eg if thick, preferably jersey and well priced) but won't expect it to last. Polyester a very RARE buy for me now (can't actually remember buying any in the last year, I don't think).

EduardoBarcelona · 11/05/2014 13:57

i cant see reduced shooz

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 11/05/2014 14:05

Outlet tab, Eddie

Brillenbar · 11/05/2014 15:33

Ever since the photo at the start of this thread appeared on Belinda's blog I have been hankering after an orange handbag. But there aren't many around in the less expensive bracket, and I have a feeling it is something of a one season wonder. Have seen this www.tkmaxx.com/view-all-accessories/orange-textured-leather-tote-bag/invt/11154317 has anyone else seen anything around, leather, pref under 100? And any thoughts on longevity or usefulness?

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 11/05/2014 15:56

Isn't Furla meant to be excellent quality? I think I might prefer a brighter orange, myself, but the leather looks to be saffiano texture, which is quite durable. I would have thought an orange bag would be quite versatile, if you have neutral clothes eg stone, navy, black, charcoal, white, cream, to wear with it, too.

I have an orange clutch and have used it when going out, wearing any of the above clothes, and also faded - mid blue denim. What I lack is more going out opportunities, not clothing options!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/05/2014 16:01

Thanks all. I ended up dressing down completely in skinnies and a graphic tee-shirt. Was fine.

I really need some 'nice' tops for such occasions though - printed silk would be gorgeous but there are so few around. I like the price of this one but am not over-sold on the print.

KosherBacon · 11/05/2014 16:29

I'd snap that Furla one up. They are normally £300-350, so not sure where that RRP of £140 is from, unless it's a second. Furla make beautiful bags. I've been eyeing up the TK Maxx stock myself but there's nothing in the winter colour palette.
