The silver ones have a disappointing finish, but these in black are lovely www.zara.com/uk/en/new-this-week/woman/soft-leather-ballerina-flats-c363008p1810018.html. Not sure re longevity

PavlovtheCat · 03/05/2014 20:55

belinda that is perfect, exactly the kind of info I need, thank you! I never considered nude shoes, but it makes a lot of senses, so as to not cut off my length with colour. I am going to take a look. I can wear wedges, depending on the type of wedge, my fly boots have small wedges and are perfect. I have a pair with wooden heels which are less comfy, but not too bad if not wearing for too long (can take them off for a bit at work when at my desk).

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 03/05/2014 20:58

Hope you find something you like and works for you.

Btw if anyone else has ideas, please do shout - I'm not all knowing (just all shopping Grin)

PavlovtheCat · 03/05/2014 21:01

of course I bloody well love those LK Bennett ones look at the price Grin I like the bode ones a lot too, as well as the nude ones. I never considered those types of shoes, but, I think they will look fab, and I may be able to get my dresses out again Grin

Having thought about it for a few minutes, I think nude shoes of some kind, pumps for example is something I have been missing in my shoe collection.

PavlovtheCat · 03/05/2014 21:06

The stripy Stories ones are fab! I have a black and white dress that would look amazing with those, and they have character to them that I love too!

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 03/05/2014 21:06

You need to get your KMiddy on Wink. I love nude shoes - I have flat ones as well as heels. V useful and if you don't get a nanna shape, quite chic.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 03/05/2014 21:07

I also love monochrome and stripes. Ah, look at all these new outfit options if you just get more shoes. I always want more shoes.

PavlovtheCat · 03/05/2014 21:09

ok. I am buying those Stories ones. I absolutely love them. But, can't decide whether to be bold and go for black/white, or start off simply for my new style of shoe collection and go for plain black. How are the sizes in Stories shoes, accurate, small etc?

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 03/05/2014 21:16

I would buy what you love, to be honest, especially if you do have things you can wear with them. I don't own any Stories shoes, just a handbag (it's v good). Anyone?

noddyholder · 03/05/2014 21:22

I have the stories ones in zebra Good choice!

PavlovtheCat · 03/05/2014 21:25

I really love both of them, so i think I will buy the plain black, as that, straight away is likely to mean I can wear some clothes that have had to be relegated to the cupboard. I have been going to work in jeans/knee high boots and smart top, but prefer to keep my outside of work/work styles a little different, and boots are no good in better weather.

Thank you so much for your help already! more help is welcome and I think I am going to enjoy the newfound interest in looking nice for work! Funnily I had a much better figure when I was in my 20's, I would never have considered wearing clothes that flatter my figure, but now I have wobbles and bumps and saggy skin in places I feel much more confident to wear new styles, odd isn't it?!

PavlovtheCat · 03/05/2014 21:28

noddy great choice yourself Grin

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 03/05/2014 21:34

Thought I would throw these out there, too www.marksandspencer.com/leather-penny-loafers-with-insolia-flex/p/p22286739

Re evolving style, I am similar. Older = bolder for me. Also, the closer I get to being a nanna, the less inclined I am to dress like one. For instance, I have just retired my cardigans. Loved them, but just recently realised that they look best on the young and that I tend to look mumsy in them (might not if I was thinner, but that's a whole other can of worms).

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 03/05/2014 21:36

When I first saw these, I hated the heel, but now these are growing on me: www.marksandspencer.com/leather-wide-fit-leopard-print-shoes-with-insolia/p/p22286751

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 03/05/2014 21:38

Linking to this as the price M&S are asking is comical: www.marksandspencer.com/leather-pointed-toe-court-shoes/p/p22316118

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/05/2014 22:53

£200 for M&S shoes. Dear God - are they made by genuine Cornish pixies or something?
