Rosehip miracle?

FrankCarsonsDressingRoom · 12/04/2014 08:17

Am I imagining this? I bought rosehip oil on amazon, have rubbed it in two days in a row on a wrinkle next to my mouth and its gone?

Anybody else had similar?

Fushi Rosehip Oil is definitely the best out there! Rather than amazon I buy it from their website www.fushi.co.uk/rosehip-seed-oil-organic.html where you get loyalty points, free shipping etc etc

FrankCarsonsDressingRoom, funny I should stumble upon your post today. I OCM. I use jojoba as my main carrier oil. I recently added lavender which resulted in my adult acne disappearing (WTF!) and more recently I started using patchouli which appears to have greatly diminished my fine lines, pores and the lines either side of my mouth (I'm 32). I was wondering to myself this morning if I was imagining things. I was so excited last night about it I didn't sleep much, how sad am I? I can well imagine (given my recent experience) that organic rosehip seed oil is freaking amazing.

I think OCM has got a bad name but I think that's because some people have been using caster, sunflower and olive oil. I've never used them because they sound too thick to put on one's face. Especially caster oil. I started out using jojoba and tea tree. Tea tree turned out to be a bit harsh so I swapped to lavender which seems to be performing miracles.

As a side note I use bareMinerals make-up and I use two moisturisers, La Roche-Posay Effaclar H Soothing Moisturiser and Neutrogena's VISIBLY CLEAR® Spot Stress Control Ultra-light Spot Treatment Moisturiser. I used them before I switched to using lavender and patchouli though and whilst they are excellent I do think it's the oil that's making the difference....

Sorry for essay!

Am loving my rosehip oil. Use it morning and night, it is easily absorbed. Once or twice a week I mix it with castor oil and argan oil for a richer night oil.

Millli · 14/01/2015 17:22

What is OCM? please

ItIsntJustAPhase · 14/01/2015 17:42

Oil cleansing method. I don't do that, I use foaming face wash and micellar water followed by rosehip oil.

Millli · 14/01/2015 18:26

Thanks ItIsnt. I don't do that either but I have recently purchased an Australian brand of Rosehip oil hence why I came across this thread. I use it as a moisturiser.

It didn't work for my skin - which is dry but broke me out.

I've since let time heal it and omg, black sea soap from Boots is so wonderful.

Pippidoeswhatshewants · 14/01/2015 19:43

Stumbled across this thread and ordered rosehip oil from fushi within 5 minutes... I just had 4 stitches on my elbow, and I hope it will make the scar fade a bit. Might try it on my face, too, while I'm at it!

pinkrocker · 14/01/2015 20:25

Interesting! I've been using an oil called "Nuxe" which along with their soap free shower gel stuff has smoothed my skin out fabulously. My chest and shoulders are lovely and smooth (smells gorgeous too).
I saw it recommended on the"does my bum look 40 in this" blog.
I've got lash extensions (sad I know!) so I don't cleanse my face, just wash in the shower and clag on that oil. No more spots either!
Once it runs out I might try the rosehip oil though!!

ClaudetteWyms · 14/01/2015 20:30

I love this stuff, it has transformed my skin and is way better than any expensive moisturisers I have tried.

Catinherhat · 18/01/2015 04:18

Does the rose hip oil feel heavy on your skin?

Bartlebee · 18/01/2015 10:07

I love rosehip oil. I have the Fushi one.

It definitely doesn't feel heavy.

Hopefully · 18/01/2015 11:34

If it does feel a bit heavy, mooring oil has a very 'dry' feel to it, and can be good mixed with rosehip, IME. I get mine [[http://enaissance.co.uk/product/search&search=moringa&sub_category=true&description=true here]]
