Johnnie Boden...so annoying

I was put on hold today and Johnnie comes on, sounding like Prince William "so sorry, ra RA! but we're busy!RA RA! please hold"

Is it just me or is he a bit if an idiot?
I loathe the hideous Boden floral macs, tunics, etc infact any of the floral stuff.
Can't stand the naff captions "Olda, a true friend will know the name of your parents" umm noooo
"Anne, the most underrated thing in the world: a beautiful smile" Hmm
Id rather "Helga, hates this stuff but doing it for the money"
"Lucy , shagged Lord Cecil on the snooker table last night wearing a lovely tweed skirt"
And all that hot air about launching Boden to the FRENCH ! The FRENCH JOHNNIE....you're crazy, did it happen?

Johnnie some of your product is fab (the up identifiable stuff, great quality, some novice accessories) but cut the crap please, we're not stupid.

But the 20% off code doesn't include free del and returns, right? Might be better off using a 15% off code which does include free p&p (A72E).

TheLadyRadishes · 02/04/2014 22:46

I got a £15 voucher yesterday and bought a lightweight top also using a 11% discount/free P&P code from my catalogue. Total cost £7. Thanks johnnie I love you really!

LightastheBreeze · 02/04/2014 23:07

Well, just waiting for my £15 voucher to come now so I can buy my chinos Grin

Toothytwo · 02/04/2014 23:15

What really pisses me off about Boden is if you spend quite often there they annoyingly don't send vouchers to you. I get why, but it annoys me enough to stop buying.

AppleYumYum · 03/04/2014 00:15

Grrrrrrr ordered lots of stuff from the sale last week and none of it really suited me, then realised no returns label! Never had that before, cost me £11 to post it back, not happy Shock

Dollydowser · 03/04/2014 07:56

Toothytwo, I spend a fair bit at Boden, I've had 2 vouchers so far this year. And my clothes from last weeks sale came with a returns label Appleyumyum (luckily, as mine are going back too).

almondblossom · 03/04/2014 08:07

You are right that the 20% doesn't include delivery and returns, but for me I saved more by using it because I have some old returns labels that I can use.

AppleYumYum · 03/04/2014 11:17

I hadn't thought of keeping returns labels when I haven't sent anything back derrrr! Will start doing that from now on, and checking before ordering several sizes of heavy jeans and chinos that returns are included Hmm.

Can you use the collect plus and Royal Mail labels separately for different returns?

I've never had a voucher and spend loads with them. However, I never buy anything full price so maybe that's why??

Toothytwo · 03/04/2014 12:31

That's annoying, I wonder how they decide who gets one then. I always assumed I was in the 'she'll spend anyway, doesn't need encouraging camp'. But maybe that's not how they do it?

TheLadyRadishes · 03/04/2014 13:02

I get vouchers! I'm quite patchy, sometimes do quite a big order, sometimes nothing all year (because there are usually only a few things I like, though I do get some kids' stuff too).

Maybe they check MN and see who is being rude about Johnnie, and send them a voucher to placate them :)

Veins · 03/04/2014 13:10

Well, in that case that Johnnie Boden is a .....

ExcuseTypos · 03/04/2014 13:29

I've never had a voucher[sad face]

I alternate between spending a fortune and hating everything. I only buy plain stuff, which has been heavily discounted. Loved the clearance sale recently.

Cereal0ffender · 03/04/2014 13:33

I was about to buy dd a tankini and shorts but am sulking until I get a voucher

Cereal0ffender · 03/04/2014 17:53

20% off but £4 delivery, fuck off johnnie boden, only a fool pays postage for boden

JemimaMuddledUp · 03/04/2014 18:49

Just used my £15 voucher on the ruffle front shirt. If it is nice (plan to wear it with jeans to work) it will be an utter bargain as between the discounts and vouchers I will have got a shirt that started off at £39 for £8.40 with free delivery.

SmokyHeart · 03/04/2014 18:56

I am another one that never gets vouchers [sulks].

I'm liking the pockets that are on many skirts & dresses this season.

I always wait for reviews before purchasing though because I find the sizing inconsistent and some of the tops are just not long enough.
