That's a bit worrying, Rudy. Hopefully it's something involving low blood pressure, indigestion, etc...

As for the dress, it's jersey, so tightness is not fatal. I've been doing half-hearted pilates exercises to flatten the tummy, will wear appropriately fierce pants and just think 'Fuck It'. There's more important stuff to worry about.

And sorry Windy! Didn't mean to sound so curt. I thought you were a regular crepey using a different name.

NearTheWindymill · 15/04/2014 09:47

Thank you. I don't know why I've missed this - am definitely crepey. Rudy have we met?

motherinferior · 15/04/2014 09:53

Wotcher Windy Grin

I am as usual trying to get self to be dynamic. I have in fact managed to sort out some interviews for features so will have to sound coherent later this afternoon on the fascinating topic of hospital ward rounds Confused

I think it's the teens that made me crepey Grin

beachyhead · 15/04/2014 12:41

It's the teens that finally crystallise the crepeyness Grin

Rudy, hope he's alright. Sounds similar to dh's funny turn about six weeks ago (which he still hasn't followed up with the GP). Important not to worry, until you know what to worry about, I always feel.

Camp night date has been decided. June 21st. Love to see you, dh, dc's, ddogs! PM me if you are free and I'll send on details. Warning: there will be other 'normal' people there!

Blackduck · 15/04/2014 13:03

Hi Windy,
Rudy hope DH okay...

Beachy you need to explain more about camp date night - I missed that convo at the meet up!

Well every year for about the last four, we have a camp night where lots of friends come and camp in the garden, BBQ food, drink wine and chat... Just that really! Thought we could have a crepey contingent this year.

bigTillyMint · 15/04/2014 13:30

Hi Windy! Yes camp night sounds interesting - tell us more!

Had a great morning in the Mucha and Dali galleries and the absolutely fantastic Tim Burton exhibition (DD now moaning that she would have come if she'd known.. She didn't get up till 12 FFS!

Oops xpost there!

bigTillyMint · 15/04/2014 13:33

Rudy, it could just be a fluke thing like DH had on our Anfield tour. Fingers crossed for you.

lalsy · 15/04/2014 15:13

Hey, crepeys and welcome Windy.

Rudy, hope your dh can get a rest over Easter and Herbs, I hope it all goes smoothly tomorrow.

And BTM, your holiday sounds great.

Crem, nah, not really nose to the grindstone or only on alternate days Smile but she is cheerful most of the time.

Think problems of the generation up rather than down are crystallizing my crepeyness at the moment. Am rather worried about how much therapeutic chocolate I will feel I need to consume over Easter. Have a good one, everyone and NU enjoy your holiday.

NUFC69 · 15/04/2014 15:18

At least DH did the right thing, Rudy. He sounds very similar to my DH with regard to work stress plus manic exercise, DH ended up rushed to A&E a couple of years ago but all was well. What is it about men and having always to be competitive?

Herbs, I hope the funeral goes ok tomorrow, I will be thinking about you. Please don't worry about what you're wearing, just concentrate on DP; I can't remember, are you taking DS? If you are, you will probably find it helps everybody. (You might have decided it's not right for him, and you'll know best.)

I am so pleased that I can help with our GC: we had no help (mothers had died and we lived hours away from my DD and DSis). It's such a joy that I can't imagine anyone wanting to forego it.

Welcome to Windy.

Well I am all packed apart from cosmetics and curling tongues which I will need tomorrow morning first thing. DH is outside doing some gardening. Shock

QueenQueenie · 15/04/2014 16:31

Yes Herbs, will be thinking of you all tomorrow. Hope all goes smoothly.

Welcome Windy.

Have a fantastic trip NU!

Am annoyed with dh re the working but cant be arsed to spend my holiday in a strop with him. I told him I thought he was a fool (a) to think himself so indispensible and (b) to spoil his own holiday, as a week off work is a very different thing from a week sort of off work but with two days commuting 3 hours each way to London. I have maintained a dignified silence on the subject since and let the dc tease him mercilessly about always working without telling them to shut up and leave their dad alone (which is what I'd normally do).

All is lovely here with beautiful weather and nothing much to do. Bliss.
Thanks for the offer of company Rudy, you'd be very welcome but tomorrow I am taking ddog to the vet to have her teeth scaled and polished (at vast expense) and have to take dcs out in the afternoon... another time? How far away are you?

bigTillyMint · 15/04/2014 17:46

Dogs have their teeth scaled and polished? Who'd have thunk it?!

Just been for our last relaxing jacuzzi-sauna experience - the DC are still snorting at the jiggly-jigglies on show!

They also keep reminding me that it is Easter Sunday soonWinkWink

motherinferior · 15/04/2014 17:52

QQ's adorable dog is entitled to all the dentistry he desires Grin

NUFC69 · 15/04/2014 18:02

Ooh, MI, is that an offer to pay for the dental work? Wink

All done now, I think. My nails look great: bright shiny fuchsia pink.

If I don't post again before I go, I hope everyone has a good Easter break and manages to relax. It looks as if it's more likely to be an umbrella weekend rather than a barbecue one, but I hope I am wrong. Happy holidays.

NUFC69 · 15/04/2014 18:03

Safe journey home, BTM.

bigTillyMint · 15/04/2014 18:06

Ooh I love fushia NU! It says 18 on Thurs for London - have got my fingers crossed!

Off to eat with the main criteria for choice being wifi!

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 15/04/2014 18:26

'Ello Windy - we have met before in real life. Grin

We are booked to go to Shanklin next week. DH appears to have lost the railcard though. Angry

Off out to dinner tonight with some friends from New York that we don't see very often.

bigTillyMint · 15/04/2014 18:32

Ooh have fun MrsS! If it's wet and windy I recommend the arcades in Sandown - ten pin bowling's the place to beWink

NearTheWindymill · 15/04/2014 20:54

I thought we had SheherazadeSchadenfreude. I often think of you when I'm in that Sainsburys at 7pm on Tuesdays Grin. IYKWIM. Hope you are feeling better.
