The snob in me thinks it can't be that good because it's so cheap.

I haven't smelt it but surely perfume is perfume? and with the expensive ones you're just paying for the brand?

Well yes, but that means there are an awful lot of people prepared to pay £50+ just for the brand

How cheap is it? I've not forgotten the rash I once got from a cheap bottle of Exclamation.

It smells lovely, but it doesn't last very long. I find I have to have a few more squirts after 4 hours or so, but at that price it doesn't matter.

Suddenly Madame Glamour. I have it. It smells lovely. Doesn't last all day but at £4 a bottle I keep a spare in work to re-spritz after lunch. It smells very much like Chanel on me, it smells a bit like Soap and Glory on one of my friends.

Yes it's how long it lasts that is the difference. I barely got half an hour from it. Although I seem to neutralise most perfume in record time. I have some Issey Miyake and it does last infinitely longer than my cheaper stuff.

I got a wiff of MIls perfume other day and asked what it was because it was nice and she said Lidls...I was like but it really does smell lovely IMO

I love my expensive perfume but have recently started buying the Lidl one for work and it's really nice but the smell doesn't last long!

Suddenly Diamonds is similar to Boss Orange, I think.

Jo Malone lasts all day.

I've used this, it was pleasant and quite reminiscent of Coco Mademoiselle but it has the lightness and longevity of a body spray not an EDP so I'm not a huge fan.

As for perfumes not lasting all day, Flowerbomb EDP, Fracas EDP, and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique EDT are some that last all day on me.

Chanel no 5. There is no other perfume.

It's OK, a bit like Avon perfumes ie it doesn't last long and smells a bit 'thin' and old-fashioned.

It's one of the few perfumes that my DH actually likes! He has a very sensitive nose...

What is the name of the Lidl one? I'm perfume mad, I have far too many bottles and tend to buy brand names but I'm not a snob and have a few decent replicas in my collection.... I'm for Lidl tonight so will try it. I certainly won't complain about it not lasting at that price, I have paid a fortune for some designer brands that don't bloody last either, Jo Malone and some of the Calvin Kleins spring to mind.

Suddenley diamonds is the one they were pushing for valentines i think, and has a rectangular bottle and lid.

What does the Diamonds one smell like though? I bought a bottle for my mum but couldn't resist testing it and kept it for myself! It's lovely, and lasts all P day on me, but I can't place what it smells like!

It smells ok. It has poor sillage and is more akin to a body spray.
