Oh shop love the Louise Brooks postcard btw! Such an iconic look!

Great, so we have Anni, Marade, Blair and me all trying to channel the successful weight loss vibe of one, shop and Linus. I'm doing well so far today, porridge with lots of blueberries and strawberries for breakfast, banana mid morning, tomato & lentil soup with salad of chicken, peppers and rocket for lunch.

Every single person at work today has commented on how relaxed I look after my holiday! Yay

Fashion news - I am wearing Falke nude tights (really needed to get out of opaques and definitely not warm enough for bare legs). They are marvelous, genuinely look as close to bare as possible.

Linus I'm glad the mags reached you - enjoy. And yes, I love that image.
Useful feedback on the J Crew tees Thanks - I love the vintage ones, haven't trued the others.
Liberty I am now down again to 10st 1! I have no idea how / why - I can only assume it's because I haven't had a drink in a week Blush
Freezing cold here again today - I've gone from vest tops yesterday, to full on puff jacket to walk the dog.
Waves to Stokey and SecretSquirrel
I'm off out for dinner with a girlfriend tonight - need to plan an outfit.....

Stokey I want some Toms! Have been debating if they are worth the cost - good to hear they are comfy. How does the sizing come up?

Shop I had decided not to drink until Easter but have only just remembered it's St Patrick's Day this weekend and Ireland are playing France in the 6 nations so I'd probably lose my Irish citizenship if I didn't have a drink!

Sorry Squirrel, i've ordered 7 tees here
I want a new grey one, and a navy too.
Not planning on keeping all of them!

I tried this tee at the weekend and it's lovely.

These are the J Brand boyfriends i've ordered from ebay (using ebay funds, so effectively free) :o

I've paid $100. Not sure how much customs will sting me yet though.

I've been super good so far today...
A banana
scrambled eggs
bowl of soup
lots of water
and a diet coke

Hi everyone - just wanted to pop in and say hi.

Shop - it will definitely be the absence of wine Grin - exactly what I thought when I saw your pic in orange top!

Liberty - please don't mention the 6 Nations Hmm. Luckily DH is in LA at the moment so I didn't have to suffer the smug and superior attitude when England beat Wales yesterday Sad.

Any suggestions about what to instruct DH to buy for me in LA? Sounds like he may have time to kill in a few shops and I've been so good lately! I want some distressed jeans for summer but can any of you tell me if the holes get bigger and bigger in premium denim like my Zara ones did, or are they finished better so they don't do this Hmm?

Afternoon, it is v chilly here. Am not impressed especially after the lovely weather yesterday.

Thought I would join some of you and watch my food intake (am rubbish at dieting) this week until colleague unwrapped homemade chocolate and cherry brownies. They were delicious. Will do extra long dog walk tomorrow. probably

Anni well done so far.

Sorry about your shower One; what a pia. Like the sound of your swing dress, where is it from?

Fedupnagging · 10/03/2014 16:39

Forgot to say Sleep, send your dh into Sephora with a very long list to choose from and with any luck he'll buy the lot! That's what my dh did last month - he just handed the list to the sales assistant then paid up. Couldn't believe my luck Grin.

fedup it's just a cheap one from Primark, didn't want to spend much in case it was totally wrong for me. Now I know it works, I can look at better ones. Oh yes, the shower is a total PITA, luckily my brother lives ten minutes away so i can go there, I have keys so I can just let myself in to use it. Just had to be when we were starting to get sorted to sell and move didn't it?!

Lovely to 'see' you sleep Smile

Well done to those on diet plans. I've decided to do my own version of5:2, basically having 2 days of frugality without worrying about going a bit over the 500 cals and the rest of the time just paying more attention to limiting cheese and wine which are my downfall! Also cutting back on sugar intake. Today I've had the following and feeling good:

1/2 banana, low fat natural yoghurt
Ham salad & tiny bit of comte cheese
Skinny latte

For dinner tonight am doing pasta - will keep an eye on portion size but am doing a sauce with tomato, porcini mushroom and yoghurt. That may sound a bit yuck but it's a river cafe recipe (I substitute cream with yoghurt) and is delicious.

My jcrew seersucker trousers have arrived. Not tried them on yet as if us size 8 is too tight will feel rubbish, will have a go in the morning.

Lovely sunny afternoon here, managed a 30 min outside swim while ds was having his lesson which was bliss.

sleep I would give him a list for jcrew, got some great summer bits there last spring including a bargain wide brim navy straw hat for usd 30 ish. I also like brooks bros for dc and men's cotton dressing gowns (for me).

Hello all.
Marsha "celebs and turn ups" love it Grin that's what I love about MNV.
Anni exactly the way I was planning on wearing the lovely sandals. Will have a try on soon and put pics on my pin board.
Shop yes I'm ready to go on the new book. Haven't a clue who the woman in the picture is, just found her on Pinterest .
Outside without a coat on today....heaven.

these arrived today . I'm actually rather loving AndOtherStories shoes needed to replace my M and S old faithfuls from last year that are bald at the toe Shock . I saw these which are more pointed not great for my wide duck feet and also a printed suede. Don't want pony hair as I'm hard on my shoes and don't fancy another pair of bald shoes Grin. Both R and B and OStories are l100% leather, printed suede. Reckon I could get 2 pairs of OS and rotate. Not sure there's a huge amount of difference quality wise Confused

Shock news in Dry household....DH "popped" to Boots today and came home with 4 Shock pairs of shoes.....AND they're actually really rather nice ......is my DH the only man who hates shopping so bulk buys once a year? Grin

Evening all!

Lovely shoes Dry. I have a pair of &OS shoes and while they aren't perfect for my also wide duck feet I do love them.

I am going to start 5:2 on Thursday (with the fast days being Tues & Thurs but don't fancy starting tomorrow). I need to check the calories in certain things that I just can't imagine not having on fast days - namely cups of tea and bananas!

That pasta sauce sounds delicious mara. My favourite ready made sauce (for days when we can't be arsed to cook properly) is the waitrose tomato and mascarpone one, so quite similar, but wayyy more unhealthy Grin

Ok I have some exciting news. I won't bother trying to be cryptic this time. The outnet clearance is tomorrow!

They are lovely Dry. Dh buys multiples in lots of colours. He is anti brand so we laugh about our differences Wink

I have a dress for a wedding to add to the list now, for May. I'm booking the dc in with the GP. I'm going dh is too whatever he says.

Ah... should I admit that I stumbled on the clearance last time at silly o'clock but didn't realise... Blush :o

I was browsing the outnet at 1am ish, the night before the last clearance... And the clearance section wasn't showing, but I was doing a search for jeans (putting brand names into the search box) and things were coming up showing as clearance prices.

I was half asleep and didn't click until the morning when I looked on here... Not sure if you could add things to your basket etc, but worth a look tonight.

So who's staying up then?

Oh dear my plans went down well, is anyone else married to a wedding-refuser?
