perfect skinny jeans - found!

A slightly boring topic but, after ages searching, I found my perfect pair of black skinny jeans yesterday so thought I would share.
these
They are £85 but Whistles currently have 25% off with a Grazia voucher until 18th March making them £63.75.
They are extremely stretchy, skinny all the way down to the ankle, a very dense black colour and very comfortable. They are reasonably high waisted (I am paranoid about the risk of showing underpants, or even worse a builder's bum with low rise jeans!).
In my opinion they compare very well to the much more expensive premium denim brands I have tried/bought previously. Hope this helps someone else who has been searching!

I've bought whistles before - one pair still brilliant but the other - a navy - did not wash well.

I'm still going to get these though as desperate for some jeans. Or maybe boyfriend?

Thanks!

I haven't washed mine yet but the sales assistant was wearing a pair that looked pristine. She said she had had them for months. I will probably wash them cold just in case though!

I'm sure my washing skills could have attributed to their demise!

Thanks for the tip! Always on the look out for good skinny jeans and need some black ones.

If anyone's interested, I shall throw in my recent discovery of Jack Wills Henlow skinny jeans. Ordered them in desperation the other day (I find it REALLY hard to get jeans that fit me) and they are great! Good quality, stretchy denim, cut not too low or high on the waist (no builder's bum issues) and a nice fit. £59.50 a pair so not a steal, but not too expensive either. I've got the worn indigo and am ordering the dark indigo too as they're so nice.

I bought the Next £20 ones (I have the grey, but am going to go back for one of each colour!) after seeing them recommended here. They are wonderful and fit SO well.

Are they proper skinny? Chicken legs here Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/03/2014 18:25

Top shop leigh are properly skinny, but mid rise I'd say.

Bananapud · 08/03/2014 19:41

I would say they are properly skinny as they are very stretchy. I am a size 10 with averagely slim calves if that helps!

Ooh, thank you, been looking for some black skinnies.

I can recommend Oasis Jade, too, if you're after a dark denim wash.

myalias · 08/03/2014 22:26

Another heads up for Oasis Jade black skinnies

CockBollocks · 08/03/2014 22:41

My current faves are next relaxed skinnies and a pair of jack wills boyfriend jeans.

Theonlyoneiknow · 08/03/2014 22:45

I like the next ones too but do show my (big) pants

TheJumped · 08/03/2014 22:48

I tried on every pair of high st skinnies on Oxford St yesterday and came home with M and S 5 pocket jeggings as recommended on here. In 'Indigo mix'. They're ace!

So many skinnies are really thin material that do nothing for lumps and bumps. And I don't like the current crop of dark denim that's just slightly too light and mustard stitching, looks really cheap. Gap legging jeans were second best, followed by River Island Amelie - I might get the lighter colour denim Amelies for summer but was after dark ones this time.

Topshop Jamies looked good but again I didn't like the dark denim they did, and Leighs were really thin material though nice colours, liked the grey.

Here endeth my review of high st jeans Smile
