Long sleeved, long nighties that don't look like granny ones.

(Please add your own 'wish I could buy' items!)

Landsend? Not sure how you define 'grannyish.'

NoArmaniNoPunani · 04/03/2014 07:11

How would that be possible?

LaTrucha · 04/03/2014 07:19

I think Noarmani might be right. I have searched for one for ages because in theory I would like one, but when I find one I think, 'Are you really going to pay X number of ££s to look like that?'

Hush usually do one in the winter that comes closest to being bought.

HerGraciousMajTheBeardedPotato · 04/03/2014 07:33

Pretty bras without any lace.

I hate lacy underwear. I find the lace scratchy and rough, but I don't want to wear only plain or sports undies.

Amrapaali · 04/03/2014 07:33

How about kaftans? There are some nice cotton ones that can do the trick. Look around in holiday shops or Asian ones....

peasandlove · 04/03/2014 07:36

I have a long sleeved CK nightie that comes to my knees. It's made of modal and so damn comfy

peasandlove · 04/03/2014 07:39

here she is figleaves

burnishedsilver · 04/03/2014 07:51

I'm not sure it's possible. If is long it needs to be lose enough so you can move around comfortably in your sleep. Add the long sleeves and you're in little house on the prairie territory.

FrugalFashionista · 04/03/2014 08:11

HerGracious lots of non-lacy underwear out there, I mostly wear non-lacy styles. COS for example but just look at lingerie blogs and specialist sellers and you'll find plenty of options. Marlien Dekkers are very non-lacy usually. Calvin Klein also has lots of non-lacy styles, he invented minimalism after all...

HerGraciousMajTheBeardedPotato · 04/03/2014 08:21

Yeah, but I want M&S prices!

tonyblairsreallygoodlegsnbutt · 04/03/2014 08:23

I would really like a casual day dress that is fitted to the waist, has sleeves and a v neckline, and is flared over the hips. Ideally it would have buttons. And not be black. Or viscose.

Ledkr · 04/03/2014 08:23

Knee high boots which are adjustable so we of ample calf don't have to buy "special ones" that are ugly!

Ledkr · 04/03/2014 08:24

tony I just bought a black day dress sounding similar from Dorothy Perkins. It is lovely and I get tres compliments yesterday. I'm a size 16 btw

EauRouge · 04/03/2014 08:27

Ledkr, have you looked on the Duo website?

GoodnessKnows · 04/03/2014 08:35

Lovely nightie suggestions but not long enough. Think it'll be a kaftan. Lol

Knee-high boots that actually come up to the knee, instead of at the widest point of the calf, and bunching at the ankle.

TheBookofRuth · 04/03/2014 08:55

I would like pyjama tops which have both hidden support and sleeves as I have both huge boobs and cold arms, so vest tops are no good for me.

WhoWasThatMaskedWoman · 04/03/2014 09:02

I used to have nightdresses like that in my teens. One was bright turquoise and styled like a maxi length shirt dres and one had an American Football design. Neither were remotely granny like. I think the rise of central heating killed them off.

I also have a pair of knee boots with buckles for adjustable calves - wasted on me as it happens as I have completely average legs.

Hopefully · 04/03/2014 09:07

I would like knee length maternity/post natal nighties. Not too long, not too bum displaying. I have been perusing online and the idea of walking the post natal ward in something either bum skimming or ankle length does not appeal! Also, why would you make a BFing nightie in powder pink/blue? Surely most women have the odd post natal blood loss leak....

Ledkr · 04/03/2014 09:10

eau! Yes I has some before thanks. Do they have sales?

EauRouge · 04/03/2014 09:14

Yes, they do have occasional sales, they might have some winter stuff left maybe. How did the 3rd birthday celebrations go?

Nocomet · 04/03/2014 09:18

M&S sometimes do printed non lacy bras, but I totally agree, if you live in tightish tops lace just shows and looks tacky.

NUFC69 · 04/03/2014 09:18

I would suggest Carol Hochman for warm nighties, etc. You can get the PJs in Costco for a song, but the nighties etc are available on QVC.

BetterWithCheese · 04/03/2014 09:20

TheBookofRuth Freya do long-sleeved with secret support. I've got one and it's pretty good.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/03/2014 09:54

Revlon whipped creme foundation in the UK.
