Long sleeved, long nighties that don't look like granny ones.

(Please add your own 'wish I could buy' items!)

Hopefully -
Try Peacocks? I had my 'hospital' nightshirts from there. Sized up massively, and they were knee length and buttoned down about half way.

TulipOHare · 04/03/2014 11:06

I would really like a casual day dress that is fitted to the waist, has sleeves and a v neckline, and is flared over the hips. Ideally it would have buttons. And not be black. Or viscose

I had a brilliant one from George at Asda about 7 or 8 years ago. The pattern was a bit love / hate but the dress was amazing.
I wore it to death Sad and never found a replacement that was up to scratch.

Amrapaali · 04/03/2014 11:13

This any good? It's jersey, so should be soft.

TheBookofRuth · 04/03/2014 11:48

Ooh, thank you BetterWithCheese (I agree btw, everything is), that looks ideal and not too pricey.

JohnCusacksWife · 04/03/2014 12:32

Have e never understood the trend for post natal nightshirts/nighties. So awkward for feeding.....I just wore PJs both times. Much more practical.

JohnCusacksWife · 04/03/2014 12:36

tulip, I've got a fab George dress too that I wear to work all the time. Black thick jersey, slash neck, 3/4 sleeves, just above the knee with a fab little 60s style faux pockets at the hip. Have worn it to deaths and it's just about done now....no idea how I'll ever replace it. Pound for pound it's the best value item I think I've ever had. Only cost £16! Would love to get my hands on something similar.

Non-lacy knickers at reasonable prices, in cotton not nylon or dubious 'mixes'

Tops with sleeves long enough for me.

Jeans with legs long enough for me without having to pay Diesel/designer prices.

Generally, why don't they make clothes in decent natural fabrics at reasonable prices, instead of polyester shite at £100+? Yes I mean you, Ted Baker, French Connection, Whistles et al.

FrugalFashionista · 04/03/2014 12:46

Can recommend BAM bamboo knickers. Comfy, non-lacy, wash well and worth their price.

TulipOHare · 04/03/2014 12:50

YY mine was really cheap too JCW , I think I got it off the sale rail too so would have been a tenner max.

I still look every time I go to Asda but offerings lately have been poor!

also step away from John Cusack, he's mine

OnlyLovers · 04/03/2014 12:58

Frugal, they sound good! Where to get them, though? Can only see them on a site called Fruugo –only two colours and £4.99 delivery charge Shock

kazzawazzawoo · 04/03/2014 13:39

I have 2 really comfy long nightdresses that I bought last year from bhs, they are in modal, very soft and warm, but they have short sleeves.

madammecholet · 04/03/2014 13:42

Built in shelf bra nightwear tops with sleeves. Strappy vests from GAP are just FREEZING in the winter.

Namechangeforamo · 04/03/2014 16:36

Tk maxx is good for nightwear. I've bought two stripey jersey material nighties in there. Right to my toes and I'm 5"8.

truelymadlysleepy · 04/03/2014 17:29

Shorts type pants that don't dig in.
Or maybe it's me?

AcaciaBeez · 04/03/2014 19:23

28 bras in mainstream shops!

Truely i hve the opposite proble - short type pants fall off me

FrugalFashionista · 04/03/2014 19:32

Only I order the Bam underwear from their site. Am abroad so need to pay for shipping anyway but for me they are really well worth their price. Seems like a really nice small company too. You can always ask them whether they have a local stockist.

lurkingaround · 04/03/2014 21:07

Agree with the 28 bra thing. God it's frustrating. And stop making so many flipping lacey ones!

And yes, long sleeved pyjama tops with a bit of support. Fricking freezing in those cami ones. Love the Freya link BetterWith.

And why don't they make more narrow legged pyjmama bottoms? Those wide-legged ones creep up and end up all tangled and twisted. So I'm not fussy but I would like my pyjamas to be:

  1. Cotton
  2. Long sleeved with a bit of support
  3. Narrowish legs, not tight, but narrowish.
Sounds easy but you try finding them...!

Oh and last one. A long lasting oil free light reflective foundation.

Men on the moon and all that Grin

HerGraciousMajTheBeardedPotato · 04/03/2014 21:08

Swimsuits in longer body lengths, that are available all year round, and not just in the basic styles. For some reason, my swimsuits always seem to wear out in the winter, and I can never find anything pretty, or even vaguely flattering. I have to settle for horrid black or navy - if I'm lucky.

Jakadaal · 04/03/2014 21:55

A bra for 36f (so needs support!) that has the seams on the inside but with a soft smooth outer covering that involves no padding or moulding?

GoodnessKnows · 04/03/2014 22:18

Oooooh I'll try tk Maxx for nighties
Thank you

BikeRunSki · 04/03/2014 22:40

Tops in "long" length, like trousers. I not super tall, by my height is mainly in my back and I struggle with tops being to short.

fidgetywidget · 04/03/2014 22:58

I agree with BikeRunSki on the long length tops, especially when they're long sleeved,

and I'd also like jeans in a size 11 please!

maillotjaune · 04/03/2014 23:11

Long tops: Vero Moda (great value - hope that's the right spelling but mine are in the wash) and Baukjen (better quality but more expensive) are my best purchases of the last 2-3 years.

HerGraciousMajTheBeardedPotato · 04/03/2014 23:49

I'm so glad that the fashion for low-slung trousers and short-fitting tops has passed. I could just about manage one or the other, but not both!

GoodnessKnows · 05/03/2014 08:47

Hahaha me too,
