Impulse purchases you regret..

I had my eyebrows threaded today in Superdrug as there was a special offer on and I thought (on impulse) why not try it. Bad move..

Now it's not the end of the world as they will grow back, but needless to say I will not be repeating the experience!

Would anyone else like to share comfortingtales of daft impulsive purchases?

Brown, anything in brown. I just look old and dowdy in brown. There is no shade of it that makes me look good. I eventually saw the light and donated all my brown clothing to my younger sister who happens to look fab in any shade of brown ever Confused

The peony and moore lucia bag that everyone raved about on here. Poor quality, never used it.

Aquascutum mac - love it but it's a bit too big (should look into getting it altered).

Numerous Laura Ashley/M&S/Monsoon outfits when I was going through a weird stage which have all been charity shopped.

Tory Burch high heeled leopard print shoes. They are the right size and I like the style but something about the construction, and the angle, KILLS my big toe. Too painful to wear!

DVF clingy red jersey dress. Seldom feel slim enough to wear it!

Karen Millen pink & orange silk leopard print dress. I saw somebody else wearing it and looking great in it. She had a big chest. I don't.

Camilla Skovgaard silver heels. Tractor style soles. Look fab but are SO HIGH that you can only wear them indoors - not pavement-friendly - and have to be carried to your destination. Moment of madness in the Selfridges shoe galleries.

M&S skirt, black jersey & PVC from Limited Collection (now limited edition, I think). On some level, I knew that I was too old for such a short skirt but I loved it and was nostalgic for the halcyon days of my 20s when I wore such things with aplomb. Only wore it once, with leggings. It is now destined for the charity shop.

Kurt Geiger grey leather knee length boots. In sale, reduced from £450 to £150. Beautiful quality - all leather. But what goes with grey boots? Not very bloody much, actually. Also, I learned the hard way that wearing leather lined knee boots with short socks was a bad idea. Leather to skin contact: strong adhesion. My DH had to pull them off inch by inch. I had visions of calling the fire brigade to free me.
