No way Jose. Twee. All flowers and vinyl what a hideous combo at the best of times.

Jojay · 25/02/2014 18:40

Nope

pancakedayiscoming · 25/02/2014 18:41

yes, but you do have to be careful, don't get more than one or two things. That goes for any designer.

GingerMaman · 25/02/2014 18:50

No, but fine for kids

namechange74 · 25/02/2014 18:52

I do like the little girls clothes and a few of the women's dresses when i'm in the right mood, i've a couple that look lovely in the summer with converse, braided hair and bright red lippy channeling Maggie Gyllenhaal in Nanny McPhee Grin
Apart from that, no.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 25/02/2014 18:56

No, but DD's 11 and 8 do.

Maverick66 · 25/02/2014 18:56

NO

RonaldMcDonald · 25/02/2014 19:07

No, fs

AnnabelleDarling · 25/02/2014 19:11

It's not my taste but dd loves it.

Really admire CK as a business woman.

cloudskitchen · 25/02/2014 19:21

Not for me but I think it looks nice/works well for others.

Innogen · 25/02/2014 19:22

No. Shabby chic is best reserved for university halls of residence.

flowery · 25/02/2014 19:29

I think a lot of the things are pretty, which I like.

That article is bizarre though. It seems to assume women who like her stuff are all domesticated and housewife-y and desperate to return to the Fifties. Er, no. I couldn't be less domesticated if I tried!

It is in fact possible to be a professional business woman and like pretty prints simultaneously....

Amethyst24 · 25/02/2014 19:39

Fine for others but the vintage 50s look isn't me at all.

Lagoonablue · 25/02/2014 19:46

Some stuff. Yes it is a bit of a cliche but it's cute. Wish I had thought of revisiting old prints.

UntamedShrew · 25/02/2014 19:47

I like their big coffee cups. And some of the prints - they always seem to discontinue the ones I like though, like the boys' sailing boats one.
But I agree too much of it gives one a headache!

BoiledPiss · 25/02/2014 19:51

I like the coffee cups untamed, maybe i will get some of those.

I would really like a big tote and the CK ones seem exactly the right style and shape, i just can't get past the little voice screaming twee!

Anyone any suggestions for a superduper amazing tote bag? (I like the boxy shaped ones from Ck)

SacharissaCripslock · 25/02/2014 19:57

Yes.

I don't care if it's uncool or whatever to like her stuff. I like twee. Grin

aylesburyduck · 25/02/2014 20:03

Some bits I like, some stuff is just hideous and naff. There is an outlet shop near me and it does a roaring trade.

It's like everything else in a similar vein, there don't seem to have been any different designs for a couple of years and so it gets a bit samey

LoveVintage · 25/02/2014 20:08

Yes, I have an oilcloth and a canvas bag and some cups, but I do think it has become overdone now, and probably wouldn't buy anything else of hers.

plutarch14 · 25/02/2014 20:12

There is something to be said for the theory that traditional/twee stuff becomes v popular during recessions. People find it comforting and reassuring in contrast to the freaky economic climate. (cf Laura Ashley in the last recession).

CK have just opened a massive new shop on Piccadilly, which seems a bit of a strange thing to do - the rent must be astronomical. But I guess shows they are still selling a lot. I think they get a lot of business from Japan/China and have opened the new store to capitalise on the tourist market.

TSSDNCOP · 25/02/2014 20:13

Hate it hate it hate it. Cannot believe grown women buy it.

Vickiyumyum · 25/02/2014 20:14

I do like some of it yes.

Dd has a lovely skirt a and some cute bags. I like my huge coffee mugs especially the toadstool print. The £6 pens are fab really good weight and comfortable to write with. Dd brought me some notebooks and folders for college and I love them.

Lizzabadger · 25/02/2014 20:24

Only the mugs

hollyisalovelyname · 25/02/2014 20:28

Yes I like most of Cath Kidston stuff.
I absolutely hate the Orla Kiely sixties patterns and colours.Though she has some lovely leather bags this season ... however they are very expensive.

Hedgehead · 25/02/2014 20:32

No - I find it very old-ladyish!
