Unusual wedding dress

I am getting married abroad this summer, and want a very unusual dress. I am currently a size 14 but hope to trim down a but!

The fact that it says shirred fitted bodice might mean you won't need to alter it at all. It's beautiful . Please wear it with red shoes.

What does shirred fitted bodice mean Trumpton? Surely I'll be busting out of the zip though?!

Not read the whole thread but be aware that Cherlone dresses have a, elastic smocked back so don't fit as snuggly as the photos. They're a bit like dressing up outfits in adult sizes.

Oh my goodness.. I've just ordered it! so, red shoes? I need some with a strap over the top of the foot as we have about a million steps to climb to get to the venue.

I thought that momb it didn't look like ti would hold me in very well

Shirred means elasticated with fine elastic thread. I would be tempted to underline with a piece of fabric of the correct size to stabilise it.
The outer cover of the dress looks as if it conceals the shirring.

Yes, the one in the photo, I just hope I can fit into it! So what do you think for shoes then? The criteria is a bright colour and must have a strap over the top of the foot (not sure what this is called in shoe terms!)

I'll definitely take it to a good dress maker to have it made to fit me properly, the shirred thing sounds like its a good thing, will see when it comes! How exciting..

It's got a very pretty back swell, I don't know how to get photos on the thread but it has a long trailing scarf, beautiful, so pleased with it!

Ooh, that's lovely! If it doesn't fit and all else fails courtesan boutique do one that's very similar to that except with a draped neckline and the scarfy 'tail' are attached rather than being a separate scarf (think I linked it earlier). One of the colours it comes in is very similar indeed to the one you've ordered.

Agree with FreakinScaryCaaw about cerise / puce coloured shoes working better than red.

am so glad you didn't buy the first green one - in the flesh they are v cheap looking. The elasticated bodice at the back is not good. I love the one you have bought, massive improvement.
