sorry to be so personal!

im a 14 top and bottom. i used to be pear shaped but as ive got bigger i seem to be pretty even top and bottom. im not ecstatic to be a size 14, because i used to be a size 8. ive just got totally fed up of diets and my will power has all but gone.

im just curious as to what size boobs people have who are the same size as me.
im 5ft 4 and weigh 10st 10 at the moment. a little more than normal - but i just had an operation on my stomach and thought i would lose weight because of it so i basically ate what i wanted over xmas - mistake.
normally i weigh between 10st 4 and 10st 8.
cant quite believe ive not lost weight after the op but i havent.

i would prefer ideally to weigh 9st 7 but not been there for about 4 years.

i have just had to buy new bras. i am now a 34 DD. (pencil test still passed....! Smile

i feel matronly and too big.

5' 2"
11s 10lb
size 12-14, bigs arse and hips, narrow(ish) waist & ribs.
30HH bra post intervention, 36F pre.

BlanketSky · 22/02/2014 20:51

pre preg 32ff. Went to a 32g and then had to get 34g today but am 30 weeks pregnant and ribs and boobs have both expanded. Who knows what size I'll go to when feeding Hmm

OneLittleLady · 22/02/2014 20:56

32FF/G depending on bra style. I'm a fourteen, a size bigger in jeans as I always have been and weigh far far more than everyone's mentioned weights. I'm actually embarrassed to admit just how heavy I am. Oh, and I'm 4' 11''

RufusTheReindeer · 22/02/2014 21:09

34f

14 to 16 top depending on the store and a generous 12 bottom

FreakinScaryCaaw · 22/02/2014 21:12

5ft 8, size 14 and 36D.

I'd actually like my body if I could be arsed to get my stomach toned.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 22/02/2014 21:13

Oh and I'm 12 stone 10.

ThatVikRinA22 · 22/02/2014 23:47

cheers everyone

i was "intervened" when i thought i was a 34A and turned out to be a size 32C....but was a good stone and a half lighter then.

so.
intervene me.....explain again how to measure.....
i dont usually measure and i just go on feel - i never go up band size always cup size.
i figured that if i was a 32C when i was 8 1/2 stone it stood that i might be a band size bigger now at 2 stone heavier....? certainly cant fasten my DDs 32 band sizes.....a 34 doesnt move - it doesnt ride up when i raise my arms, or move at all. i have no overspill in a D or DD....i tuck it all in,

does it sound like i should be in a different size?

Yes. You should measure though. Or just send me a picture of your boobs, and I'll tell you Grin

StatisticallyChallenged · 22/02/2014 23:53

It's worth trying to measure at least for the band size. The cup is more trial and error - the measurement just gives you a good place to start!

Measure tightly under your boobs, in inches, with bra off.

Then, lean forward to as close to 90 degrees as you can manage. Measure round the lowest part of your boobs. This should be a looser measurement - no tissue compressing.

legoplayingmumsunite · 23/02/2014 00:17

Size 12/14 depending on shop. 30G. A decent fitting bra takes years and stones off. Trouble is now I spot badly fitting bras whenever I'm out and about. Once you've been properly fitted you'll never go back to highstreet sizing again.

wilkos · 23/02/2014 01:02

34F 5'5 and 11 st 13

cece · 23/02/2014 01:12

I am entering the zone of size 14 from the ranks of size 16.

I am mostly wearing either a 34 G or H. Plus I also have 36 H and G bras. They now feel too large around my back but I can still wear them and they are reasonably comfortable.

ThatVikRinA22 · 23/02/2014 19:11

so is the measurement in inches what your band size is supposed to be? cos if it is im wearing a size too small - i measure 36. im wearing 34.

OP posts:
BirthdayMuppet · 23/02/2014 19:13

As a starting point yes Vicar, but it depends on the stretch in the bra itself, whether you're particularly padded or bony, how firm you like your bras anyway, and how big the cup is proportionate. I measure 31.5 and from trial and error know that I am far more comfortable in a 30 band.

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/02/2014 19:25

Your underbust very firmly in inches is the starting point but you may well need smaller.

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/02/2014 19:27

Oh and you should do the underbust standing up, bra off

Puddles1234 · 23/02/2014 20:06

I'm not a size 14 but my bra size before pregnancy was a 30GG.

I bet you look very in proportion you don't want small boobs if you are a bit bigger than you normally are.

auntpetunia · 23/02/2014 21:25

size 14, 5ft 11, 11st 6 and a 32ff, I'm an hourglass shape with broad shoulders.

Giltz · 23/02/2014 22:02

When not preggers. 5ft size 14 on top with 32/34 G boobs.

Lizzabadger · 23/02/2014 23:45

30FF
