sorry to be so personal!

im a 14 top and bottom. i used to be pear shaped but as ive got bigger i seem to be pretty even top and bottom. im not ecstatic to be a size 14, because i used to be a size 8. ive just got totally fed up of diets and my will power has all but gone.

im just curious as to what size boobs people have who are the same size as me.
im 5ft 4 and weigh 10st 10 at the moment. a little more than normal - but i just had an operation on my stomach and thought i would lose weight because of it so i basically ate what i wanted over xmas - mistake.
normally i weigh between 10st 4 and 10st 8.
cant quite believe ive not lost weight after the op but i havent.

i would prefer ideally to weigh 9st 7 but not been there for about 4 years.

i have just had to buy new bras. i am now a 34 DD. (pencil test still passed....! Smile

i feel matronly and too big.

Size 14 (ish) hourglass, 32k boobs. Ridiculous.

crunchyfrog · 22/02/2014 08:27

Apple shaped, 5'7, 34JJ, 14 top 12 bottom.

OneMoreThenNoMore · 22/02/2014 08:30

I'm 5'4 I think, and a size 12/14. No idea how much I weigh. After a bra intervention Grin I'm wearing a 32g.

GossamerHailfilter · 22/02/2014 08:31

38E.

NaffOrf · 22/02/2014 08:33

Where are the interveners? They must be having a lie-in.

SorrelForbes · 22/02/2014 08:37

And here I am Grin

Yep, not convinced by all these 34 and higher band sizes everyone. StatisticallyChallenged has posted her size (30HH) which is very normal for a size 14.

Anyone want to do some measuring?

hootloop · 22/02/2014 08:41

I am another size 14, 30H, I agree with sorrel I think there are a few in need of interventions here.

Rosebag · 22/02/2014 08:56

Size 14 hour glass. 32 F/FF. 5'7''. Do we size fourteeners really need to be depressed about our size? One part of me would love to be the 10/12 of years gone by with smaller boobs, but I seem to have lost my will power along with my youth!

FunkyBarnYard · 22/02/2014 09:03

I'm a size 14. Because I have a larger belly than boobs Hmm

My intervention said I should try 34DD

I'm bra shopping this weekend hopefully

Amrapaali · 22/02/2014 09:07

32HH. Been size 14 for ages. And yes, thanks to the bra gurus here, my norks are a happy pair.

To think I was wearing 36DD, eeurgh!!

WeightyKaty · 22/02/2014 09:08

I went to John Lewis and was measured as 34f from right and peller telling me I was 36d...

MorrisZapp · 22/02/2014 09:09

I'm size 14, 5.3", and weigh 11 stone. Curvy and muscly.

I wear a 36e, but I also have a couple of 34f's, they are less comfy but make my boobs look amazing.

I'm already feeling constrained in a 34, no way would I go for a smaller band.

WeightyKaty · 22/02/2014 09:09

*rigby and peller

BookFairy · 22/02/2014 09:13

5'0
Size 12/14
32 or 34 DD depending on make.

Many thanks again Sorrel and Statistically :)

ProfondoRosso · 22/02/2014 09:13

I'm a 14, Vicar, and used to think I was a 34DD. As it transpired, I'm a 32F and my bras fit much better. Get yourself intervened with, lady! Wink

Leviticus · 22/02/2014 09:15

I'm also 10st 10 and a 14 but I'm 5'9"! Boobs are 34E and I've done the intervention measuring (actually measure 32G but they don't fit in RL).

fanoftheinvisibleman · 22/02/2014 09:19

Size 14 and 34 DD after posting on bra intervention.

YouseewhathappensLarry · 22/02/2014 09:23

Mrswellyboot · 22/02/2014 09:25

5ft 2

Currently size 14 post baby 34 d I was this pre pregnancy too. Have about ten pound to lose

Catypillar · 22/02/2014 09:28

5'9", 10 stone 7, 32FF

godlessdomestic · 22/02/2014 09:29

Size 14/16 and a 36f (measure 35 under bust)

mrsnec · 22/02/2014 09:30

When I was a size 10 I wore a 32e but found the cups to be baggy at the top despite the wires sitting where they are supposed to. I have some 34 dds now that fit ok in the cup but very tight in the back so my 36dds now do feel right. Next time im bra shopping though I will try a 34e. Maybe the baggy cups were just the wrong style.

EauRouge · 22/02/2014 09:31

I'm a 12/14 and a 30F.

I love these bra intervention threads, although I cannot believe how crappy some shops are at fitting bras.

StatisticallyChallenged · 22/02/2014 09:32

yawns

This intervener was conscious at 5:30! Yuk!

For all those who are uncomfy, or in bigger band sizes, (gossamerhailfilter, polkadotkelly, mrsnec) please read this thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html

It is possible to be a bigger band smaller cup at a 14 (certainly a lot more possible than it is at a size 8!), and there can be a lot more variance due to body shape. Someone like me who is hourglass/borderline pear is a 14 because of their hip/bust measurement but my waist is about 2 dress sizes smaller, so I'm on the lower end of the band sizes for a 14 (I'm actually a borderline 28J/30HH).

Conversely someone who is apple shaped is probably wearing a 14 because of their waist measurement and could be 2-3 band sizes bigger. Similarly toysrluv has said she has a very wide ribcage (i'm guessing you have quite a strong back) which means she's at the top end of the band sizes for a 14. IME most 14s seem to be about a 32, with a range from about 28-36 being possible.

That said - anyone in a 34 or bigger who hasn't either done the intervention or been fitted at Bravissimo, Rigby and Peller, Leia, maybe John Lewis) should double check. Your underbust measurement, taken tightly in inches with your bra off, is your band size. If it's not...your bra is probably wrong

ElectricalBanana · 22/02/2014 09:34

Size 14, 5ft 2"
