Bra for Tiny Tits, here

I love balconette styles but they're not suitable, even in small sizes, just completely flat all the way to my nipple. No exaggeration. Been measured a billion times. Still not found The One (the bra that my boobs don't fall out of by popping under the wiring).

Any other small-breasted ladies which found a soliton?

If you're getting spillage with the 36D then you'll have the same problem with a 32E. Try an F/FF!

Sorrel That M&S Limited collection padded plunge is the bra I wear everyday. Thank you. I wear it in a very ill fitting 36A. I am going to try it in a 32C and a 30D. It is a very practical bra, and if I could get it in a proper fit, I would be so happy. That would be me done on the bras front, as the Lepel Fiore and that M&S bra always comes in loads of colours.

Reading through this thread again, and the poster who said that she was measured once and the measuring lady said she shouldn't bother with a bra. I had a similar experiecfne the only time I was ever measured. It was in John Lewis. The measuring lady said that I was a 24A, and had nothing at all that fit me. Everything she gave me was really big in the cup. I asked what she thought I should do about it, and she said "eat more!". I nearly cried. I was a healthy size 8/10, with a BMI of something like 23 and just have a small build.

For 15 years after that, I just bought A cups in vearying back sizes, until I discovered MN bra interventionists. Happily swapping my 36A for a 32C or 30D now (depending on the fit).

I am trying to convert all my friends in work!

Bra ladies i salute you. My boobs are comfy, they look great, and most importantly i have shelved the boob job for a few more years.

As a result of this thread, I bought a Mimi Holliday bra online in 30C. Usual measurement is 32A and did the scooping thing. Wore a top over it and there is definitely a different shape, it's a lovely bra and they have many items on sale at present.

Hi ladies, it's me: OP.
Got lots going on at the moment and was a tad overwhelmed by the number of comments on here.
Completely lost now.
Brain has been reduced to size of ... one boob.
Can anyone shrinky-dink the gist of it with a couple of links to boot? (I'm on a LOT of painkillers).

Oif, thank goodness for you! It was overwhelmingly good advice but on this many painkillers... it had me at 'overwhelming'.
I'll click the links and visit those shops when I'm up to longer car journeys. Really appreciate your executive summary!

Oif, one question: is there just one (or maybe two) shop that I can find all of those bras in?

John lewis or debenhams might be the best bet for choice. But 28c is hard to find so you may have to orderstuff online.

Easy destination. I'll definitely try JL
Maybe I'll click n collect a 28C

Just to update this thread - hope you found some good ones OP! - I have been testing lacy triangle bras (found these vastly reduced). If you are relatively flat-chested (I'm an exA/B, now 32/34D), they are the comfiest thing ever! It's like going braless, but you still get some support and definition, but nothing pokes or cinches. Fantastic for summer and under bulky clothes! I've worn molded foam cup bras and underwired balconettes for way too long. They are still useful for some outfits, but triangle bras are the comfort option!

Speaking of bralettes and triangle bras. Has anyone tried these from Urban Outfitters? They seem to have a wide range of styles but do you think they look too teen to look womanly if you see what I mean? Is that the same model that they use for Mimi Holliday?

StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2014 15:31

Oh god the back of that all saints one! I'm sadly too big for that style but I think the Mimi Holliday one looks a bit more grown up IME.

FrugalFashionista · 02/03/2014 18:05

Boogie haven't tried that one, but go on and try it on and let us know what it feels like!
I still wear string bikinis and love them Wink
Would also like to go to COS to do some trying on but sadly they don't operate in my city...

I think it's pretty self-evident that someone with a G cup needs special features from the bra. The same is true for the smaller busts. For me, bra straps have always been a nuisance and I wore strapless bras for years because they were comfier. The wide shoulder bras solve this problem completely and triangle bras are fantastic because they are so much less stiff and constricting! Most of the support of the bra comes from the band, so of course it will not support much, but ít may be difficult for ladies wearing larger cup sizes to understand that if bust is small and firm, the role of a bra is mostly decorative. I've spent years in ugly womanly contraptions , so I find these unstructured but pretty bras extremely liberating! More lovely flimsy bra ideas here.
I'm not even sure I'm in the market for a grown up bra any more... Wink

Oh I agree they need different features and support can be less of an issue - but the way that all saints one is riding up will never be right regardless of cup size.

I am trying to get a bra for my dd who is 13. She refuses to go to the shops to be measured. I have measured her at 25.5 under and 28.5 on the chest per the mumsnet way. Any ideas on what size and where I could go to get a bras this size

Report
StatisticallyChallenged · 02/03/2014 19:50

Sadly the bra she needs doesn't actually exist. It's ridiculous. The smallest band which is readily manufactured is a 28. The best thing you could do would be to try 28A and B to get the cup right, and then take the band in. Really she needs a 26C/D but they're not made. There is one company making 26s but they start at a DD or E

May i Suggest feeding her up GrinWink

I have wide shallow breasts with loss of fullness in upper half after breast feeding. I need a 30-32 DD to have a wide enough cup so the wires don't cut in but every style I tried til this one then had an empty cup.

These give a natural shape and I have cleavage at last!

I just had a few Lepel Fiore Plunge bras come in the post and they are lovely but I will have to return them as I bought these on sale from ebay in a 34 and I think they are too big in the band and too small in the cup.

I'm going to try the 32 and 30 band and hope that the cups will be big enough.

I am approx a 32G and thought I'd give a 34FF a try.

Report
StatisticallyChallenged · 06/03/2014 01:09

If the 34FF was too small in the cups then a 32G will be too small also as it has the same cup volume

Report
ummingandahhing · 06/03/2014 08:57

Oh well. Worth a try though as they're only 7.99 and I can return them. I'm going to be sad though as the shape is bang on.

I need plunges with little central gore as I have shallow wide spaced boobs. Balcony and t-shirt styles don't work as they are very umcomfortable in the middle.
