Bra for Tiny Tits, here

I love balconette styles but they're not suitable, even in small sizes, just completely flat all the way to my nipple. No exaggeration. Been measured a billion times. Still not found The One (the bra that my boobs don't fall out of by popping under the wiring).

Any other small-breasted ladies which found a soliton?

Fingers crossed for you! It's got to be worth a try at that price anyway!

Go on, treat yourself to a R&P one. If you tot up all that you've spent on cr@ppy bras, you'd have a drawfull of lovely well fitting ones.

I don't begrudge the price of bras. Happy norks = happy me. :-)

Also, quick bra fitting question - if you have prominent nipples, is your size the size that your nipples reach when you're bending down, or should you use the size with your nipples squashed and your actual breast reaches when bending down?

I'd measure both and take the average Grin. It's a loose measurement anyway and only a starting point. Cup size is tricky!

I just realised that my posts conjour pictures of traffic cones sticking out from my breast Hmm They're not that big, but when you haven't got much, any prominence of the nipple is proportionately massive Grin

Teta Mimi Holliday are lovely - am in love with a style but wish could try them on somewhere without having to pay for overseas returns. If someone has info on sizing that would be great...

Happy I'm a happy ex-A/B, current 30D too. I've always loved my breasts, just thought bra manufacturers didn't get them. I'm happy being wide set, I don't want to squish them together and I don't want mega padding. I find gel bras and chicken fillets really depressing, who wants to be undressed wearing those?

Lougle Maidenform have often been great for wide-set breasts, their balconettes have been some of my best bras.

The only online reviews I've found are that the cup size is slightly small-so size up and the back is a bit large(but this was for a 28in back size).I Really want to order some of the balconettes in the sale but I don't think they do returns(just exchanges). However i just love the fact they are made out of virtually 100% silk and must be so comfortable.

Going a bit off topic here and I'm sure this has been done before so please bear with me.

I am never certain what bra size I am. I usually wear 32A but I have seen mners on SB saying that they have had them recalculated coming out as 30D or something like that.

I got myself measured by Bravissimo a few years back, shortly having DD and was told that I was a 28 something and of course they don't stock anything that small. So wise mners. How do I measure my bra size? I'd love to find a well fitting nice bra rather than sticking to the same T shirt style bra that I've been wearing for years. Thanks.

Have a read of thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html this]] and post your measurements here for suggestions on sizes to try.

Bravissimo start at a 28D so you may well be in their size range.

By M&S by any chance?

So funny to think of myself as a D. But I reckon going to R&P for a proper fitting would be nice to look forward to when better.
If they fit me, do you think the size would translate (roughly) to other department store ones?

What's the slim balconette one someone someone was talking about? They're so pretty but cos I've no boob flesh from nipple-up, I've been told they're unsuitable quick cry in corner.

Ok I'm sorry but I'm going to go against the grain here…

I measure very similar to you, with almost nothing above nipple, just an almost imperceptible swell of flesh beneath. If I wear no bra I look completely flat-chested.

According to the bra interventionists I measure a 30D. I went to Rigby and Peller a few months back, spent £100 on 2 30Ds which I thought fitted, but after wearing for a while realised they were both too tight (I have no fat on my ribs) and only fitted if I stood up straight and pushed my chest up. If I moved at all I just had huge gaping.

I stupidly bought them in the sale and couldn't refund so £100 down the drain.

I went to M&S yesterday (Westfield as it happens) and bought two lovely push-up bras in 32B size. I am so much more comfortable and actually have the illusion of some shape in these. They might stretch, but they're inexpensive so I don't mind.

So by all means try R&P but as M&S is just round the corner, might be worth checking them out too! They have some very pretty designs in at the moment.

This is one of the ones I bought: www.marksandspencer.com/Autograph-Scallop-Lace-Push-Up-A-DD/dp/B002F6U9XA

oif It's very common for those with no fat around their ribs to need a bigger band than they measure. There's not a lot wrong with some M&S bras (in smaller sizes), just don't let the fitters anywhere near you!

oif · 10/02/2014 17:34

Yes - I realised reading more of the bra threads after my purchase that I hadn't taken that into account and tried enough on in different sizes - I just took my 'new size' from the bending over calculation, found something I thought fitted (the R&P lady agreed btw) and bought it. I was feeling hideously miserable about seeing my naked deflated breasts in the mirror so much and was just so keen to buy something and get out of there!

Teta I'm obsessed with Mimi Holliday now. Should I? It's my birthday this week Wink

I understand what you say Oif. Before children, my breasts were quite small and no matter measuring really changed that because there just was nothing much to fit. I wore bras because women wear bras, not because I needed any support. Triangle bikinis were great on me. That's why I'm suggesting bralettes and triangle bras - they are flirty and feminine and these days the selection is much better. Underwiring is torture if the shape is totally off and there is no breast tissue to support. But if the breasts are very flat and wide, a big cup size and a tight band can make a lot of sense - A and B cup underwire always seemed to dig in.

Can you get to a Victoria's Secret? There's one in Wesfield Stratford. I ended up in one against my will and got fitted through boredom- I was with DD. I was measured à la interventionists went down a rib size and up 2 cups and would now not go anywhere else.

Can I ask, those of small boobage, do the non padded ones make you feel even more flat chested? I have just been looking at the Mimi Holliday ones on amazon, and they are v pretty but I wear slightly padded ones from m&s. I do wear a 30c. I hate buying bras. I feel shit. I look nothing like the glowing model in the pic, the changing rooms are horrible and I am just reminded I have no boobs.

I only ever wear padded bras. I am completely flat without one, and my nipples are ever so pointy. Not a good combo Hmm

Go on the proper Mimi Holiday website - the Damaris one. There's lots of pretty padded ones and I think some are in the sale still.I would love to have no boobs. In fact I used to have no boobs before feeding 4 dc's.I really wish I could get them back.

Teta go for it, and happy birthday! I got a bit sidetracked and filled a basket at Beautiful Bottoms Wink Need to find a place where I can try on Mimi Hollidays, their sizing sounds a bit challenging...

Lucky I don't feel flat-chested wearing unpadded stuff, but I've felt a bit matronly when I have tried on a bulky, foamy molded cup bra. I also enjoy being able to go braless and having pert and firm breasts at 40+. All clothes fit really well off the rack and I can even wear men's shirts. I do remember feeling differently as a teen though.

Bizarrely, my mother has the body of a 1990s supermodel, but she has always felt very insecure about her body and bought her bras blind in the supermarket.
